A witness who sees Maddie the day before she disappeared

Just been reading Pamalam site, and came across this. This lady Mrs Boyd says she saw Madeleine the day before her disappearance and that she was playing with her son. She also talks about sitting by the pool with Kate whilst Madeleine played on the waterslide. Would this be the lady that KM wanted to get in touch.........the lady by the pool??? In the Article Vicky says : Kate was watching M whizzing down the waterslide

Is there even a waterslide there? I cant see anyone from the pictures, what pool is she talking about? And if this was on the day before she vanished, does the creche records show that M was not in the creche, but the twins where? I tought all three children where at the chreche same amount of time? So K never mentioned ( as I have read or heard) that M was given special time with her the day before she vanished? Isn't that strange? Should have been one of her better last memories of her, alone time by the pool for hours...

Yes very strange Moa, I have never seen a waterslide. But I do remember KM saying in an interview very early on just after Madeleine disappeared that she was anxious that the lady at the pool come forward. Odd that if she had told her story to this magazine, very easy to trace I would think. Unless of course it was another lady. Nothing is mentioned in the book about this episode is there?

Just to add another interesting story on the same link is the Father David Heal interview by the First Magazine. He is the priest who was called first, an Anglican Priest, who went out to see them almost immediately and went a few times??

Perhaps admin could post the screenshot from this link.......

Also find it strange that this Vicky person has not spoke to the police? Or could it be in the witheld files?

And where did they stay? Cant see them on the mark warner list...

an idyllic sunny day on May 2nd? Not acc to some statements.
Being in the pool and going on a slide would mean nice weather I guess, was Maddie doing this unsupervised in an area of deep water? You need a certain depth to enter water from the bottom of a slide I would think. Was Maddie wearing waterwings? Only ref to Maddie in pool was day of arrival and Kate in with her.

Reply “It wasn’t, again it wasn’t brilliant, I think it was nicer in the UK.”

4078 “So you went on the wrong day.”
Reply “Yeah, I think err so it wasn’t, that’s one reason why we didn’t open the shutters to open the window or anything in that room, it wasn’t actually really hot at all, it was actually quite cloudy in the days and at night it was actually quite chilly.”

4078 “So it wasn’t sort of going in the pool weather or, only if you’re very brave.”
Reply “No it was really, really cold, I mean I think Russell went in because he’s a nutter and goes in the Atlantic in February but no it was more, after, it got warmer after so we did go in the pool after May the third but no before that I don’t think we, maybe we’d been in once and then decided it was a bad idea.”

Kate's diary says this re the day's activities, raining in the morning, enough bad weather to merit capital letters.
The weather for the morning also tallies with that described by a female in the group who did sailing in windy weather that morning. Tennis postponed morning due to wet courts, ok by afternoon though, so Maddie could have played after lunch, before her afternoon creche session, but did not according to the story, it was after Gerry's lesson in the afternoon.
Bold is mine.times a bit confused, but it seems Kate played after Gerry, so when Maddie was in the pool and playing football is very confusing as Maddie was in creche from 2.45 until 5.30 on May 2nd.

It's very odd that this article about another family seeing Madeleine on 2nd May appeared only in an obscure magazine rather than printed in all the tabloids.

The style of writing is very similar to Kate's in her book - a "perfect little girl" and "Kate looking on adoringly" - [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

A complete and utter fabrication, in my opinion.

If you go to this link Jean below you will see 2 pictures of the Boyds (allegedly) one from First Magazine and the other with a story Maddie One Year On holding up the Sun newspaper, so they must have been featured in this article a year later, however the story seems to have been whooshed. as I clicked on the link on the mccannfiles and its gone.

Whizzing down the water slide eh? So not only could she hold her own with an abductor, was a doctor who fan,liked harry potter, but seemingly she could swim as well, in a pool without a waterslide. Some child this. A 3 year old with superhuman capabilities. I smell the words of a complete fantasist. There could jave been a portable waterslide I guess but I tend to think like most things it is all in mommys head.

Master Louie Boyd also sounds a remarkable child with his concept of a past event, as when he recognised Madeleine as the person he "played with yesterday". No wonder the two of them got on so well! Mrs Boyd says that Madeleine looked just like her mother - she certainly doesn't in the photos supposedly taken on that holiday!

I think that the Boyds are either attention-seekers or they were paid to come up with this nonsense.
