How many logos do we see in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann?

Take a look at how many logos are offered up. Take a look at the alliances with 'agencies' all asking for money and all showing themselves to be charities when sadly they are not all they appear to be and have limited companies in their dealings.

Please post the logos here.

This morning I googled PACT. I got four logos immediately.

Disturbingly I learned that this acronym is common.

P.A.C.T. (PACT)

1. Prisoner Advice & Care Trust
2. Putting Athletes & Community Together
3. Parents & Children Together
4. The fourth logo offered on google didn't say what the logo was for

On the findmadeleine.com website (the McCann's online shop and donation site) in the update section there is another logo for PACT.

Parents and Abducted Children Together.

I haven't seen that logo before. Is this a recent update on the update section? I stand corrected if it is not.

Life IS a logo. In a world where our senses are being bombarded 24/7 by all sorts of "stimulants" as retailers and broadcasters jostle for our "brain space", it is imperative to find the right logo that will bypass the other competitors and strike us where it hurts (our pockets mostly!)

Nike and Apple are the two most successful at the current time IMO, simple but unmistakeable, the MD's Golden Arches is another.

Politically and spiritually, too, logos are pretty much globally recognisable, Swastica being a corruption of both runic symbols and religious crosses.

I urge someone to take a screenshot of the findmadeleine.com update section to capture the comments and the logo introduction before it is 'edited'.

It's the entry for 25th May.

I may be wrong but the update section seems to have been revamped. It says 'Christmas 2012' I seem to remember it saying '19th December 2012'. Perhaps I have it wrong. I apologise if I do. I don't recall so many logos in the update section either.

INTERNATIONAL MISSING CHILDREN'S DAY[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Tuesday (25th May) is International Missing Children’s Day (IMCD). This is a day when we remember all of those children around the world who are missing and separated from their families. It is also an opportunity for everyone to try and help these children and to make a difference to this vast and tragic global problem.

The NPIA will be re-launching the UK’s Child Rescue Alert on Tuesday. This ‘Alert’ system for child abductions has been updated in order to improve its effectiveness. It should hopefully prove to be a very useful aid in finding abducted children quickly and returning them to their families. Our hope is that the 27 European Member States will all strive to have similar systems up and running effectively as soon as possible, including the essential facility for cross-border cooperation.

PACT (Parents and Abducted Children Together) will be marking International Missing Children’s Day in a particularly exciting way! Have a look on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] now to find out how. The team at PACT do an incredible job in trying to make the world a safer place for our children, so please support them if you can.

As a parent of a missing child, every day is difficult in some way. We would like to ask everybody to spare a thought and prayer for all missing children, during this coming Tuesday in particular. If you can help in any way, either through practical means, by improving awareness in some way or by donating to one of the Missing Children organisations (see our ‘Missing Children’ section) we would be very grateful.

Just because a problem cannot be seen, doesn’t mean it’s not there or can be forgotten.

Missing children need our help. We can all make a difference.

Thank you for your fantastic support.

Kate

I find the balloon logo strange, why have a man looking into the face of a little girl?

The photo with the little boy I find disturbiing, or is it the way I'm looking at it?

I thought exactly the same as you CherryBlossom, looking at the balloon logo. Perhaps they chose it because many missing children are taken by the father, particularly back to their homelands in the case of inter-cultural families. Or it could be somewhat more sinister in meaning.

I have to say, in light of how many paedophiles seem to operate within higher echelons of society, I am beginning to question the integrity of all sorts of organisations.

Glad it wasn't just me who thought that, I even asked my husband what he thought was at the side of the little boy, he confirmed what I thought, I'm suprised it hasn't been pulled may be they keep it up for a while, advertising? then take it down and we caught it at that moment in time. CM press officer, my mind is working overtime.

I too question organisations and charities especialy those to do with children I've been reading about Baden Powel and his book Hunting for Boys, although it's about the Scouts the title reflects what he was.

It's awful isn't it? Either the mass of information available and the ability to share ideas and perceptions is heightening our awareness of what may have been there all along, i.e. symbols and giveaways of the underlying evil in the world OR because of information sharing and the ability of the masses to expose the underlying evil, the Establishment have embarked on a programme of propaganda to effectively let us know that their evil tentacles extend everywhere and we are powerless to stop it, thus creating a culture of fear that pervades everything and leaves us feeling helpless and vulnerable giving them increasing power over us.

Whichever way you look at it, we are being given "spoilers" all the time, hints at what is really going on, and just at the point when the questions and outrage start spilling out, it is hastily dismissed as crackpot conspiracy and then promptly ignored, adding yet another elephant to the room that is already groaning at the seams from all the other elephants in there.

The question is, why is it always the innocence and safety of children that are used as the pawns in this despicable game?

A now forever tainted charity's page - with a prominent photo of the person responsible for why they're tainted - about IMC day.

That is a really odd photo of the boy at the window.

What I find odd is that they obviously massage the stats by including parental "abduction" (debatable whether that should fall in this category at all as it is more a case for family law/custody battles if you think about it, and who is to say why one parent has more rights over the child than the other?) and runaways (who often turn up again after a short while). They are obviously trying to create an impression that this is a bigger issue than it really is. If, as they claim, hundreds of thousands disappear all the time, it's a wonder our classrooms are not completely empty.

It's not to say that parental abduction and children running away is not a highly distressing situation, of course it is completely traumatic for the families, it's just that it appears to be presenting a picture which is a bit of a distortion.

If it's in The Sun, it must be true! They do say to be fair that the figures include various categories of disappearances but it's still an attention grabbing headline.

Of course the McCann case was thrown in as a typical example of a missing child!!

I have a sneaking suspicion that if someone were to look at the accounts for any of these charities/limited companies the wage bill and the success rate are miles apart...and all done on other people's money and a logo (the logo didn't come cheap either).

Just my opinion

From what I've been reading so far, you're not far off the mark. It seems the major part of their income goes to salaries and expenses, the "work" largely depends on volunteers, whereas stats [I'll be looking for them again] clearly indicate that most of the children are found within hours or days and brought back to their homes [from which the major part seemingly has been running away].

If there are so many parental abductions why are the stories not been told in the MSM are these children not important just like those we read about who were abused in care homes and no one listened to them or there was a cover up. although the abuse maybe historic those children have had to grow up sometimes thinking it was all their fault and carrying the guilt with them, some committed suicide others may have been murdered, while their abusers got away with it and carried on with their carears thinking they will never be found out, I even extend it to those who download porn

Once a pedophil always a pedophil, so were now are they getting their children from? We are only being told what the estabilshment want us to know, it's all about power the rabbit hole is very deep and the warrens run all over the country perhaps even the world it's frightening, it's like being a puppet but who are the masters controling us?

i've even question the measles outbreak in Wales, there does seem to be a lot that goes off in Wales!

RE-NFWTD I agree with your chosen word tainted

Snipped from the PACT website.

Why we are different

PACT plays a unique and active role in
helping to shape the policies that better protect vulnerable children.
While we cannot quantify the exact number of missing children who have
benefited from our work, we believe that long-term PACT will have a
significant impact because our focus is on the cause, not the symptom.
Few charities in our field employ the same mix of advocacy, action and
research. No charity of our size has done more to raise public awareness
about missing children or to prompt changes in legislation and
practice.

I just love the Sun headline style
A child disappears every 3 minutes.

A CHILD. Not "Another child,"
A Child.
So it must return within three minutes, ready to disappear again.
Perhaps they should try looking after it for 4 minutes next time.

If a parent only checks on their three children every twenty minutes (whilst dining in their garden) and one of them disappears does that mean....I can't do counting. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

It's one of my hobby-horses, Joyce [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Children shouldn't be vaccinated for any and all possible diseases. And there are a lot of those, which they'd rather have whilst they're young, as they turn out to be much more nasty when one gets them later in life. I know of many young parents in the Netherlands, who refuse to have their children vaccinated against e.g. measles. If a child in school gets ill with it, they organise a "measles party", so that all other children will get it too and it's over and done with [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Life threatening diseases are something different. Polio for instance, a life threatening or at least crippling disease. When I was young, we had 2 of these crippled children in my class.

My father was a GP and every year or so when we were four or five or so my brother and I would be taken round to play with some snot-nosed gutter-snipe we had never met, but which was covered in spots and boils of different types, and encouraged to play good physical contact games, and probably to eat from the same plates.
So we got Mumps, measles, German ditto and Chicken pox
And since we wore short trousers and had endlessly infected knees with scabs to pick and pus to squeeze, both of us have the most fantastic immune systems.
In my entire service I never had a day "off sick".
I do not get flu or a cold. Ever.

Now "back pain", from rowing and weight training and patrolling the beat in the dead of winter . . . ! ! !

Same here.

My child survived something horrendous because her immune system kicked in of its own, most likely because of her eating with her hands and playing in the dirt since weaned. I'm sure she had her fair dose of worms, virus, bacteria, ticks, what have you, surviving gloriously.

It's these hothouse kids that succumb. The racehorses, so to speak. Through the ages it's been the workhorses that survive. But then, there's more of them. So?

I don't know.
