The Previous Night
On the night of 2nd May Katey sleeps in the children’s room in the spare bed.
p. 61 "I suppose it was because there was a bed made up and ready in the other bedroom and at that moment my peaceful, slumbering babies were more attractive than my snoring husband."
By the night of 3rd May Madeleine’s bed is made up neatly, and even after she allegedly slept there there is little sign of her presence.
In comparison the bed under the window has NOT been made up. No attempt has been made even to pull the pillow back to the top or to throw the covers back, even roughly over the top of everything else.
Some might argue it shows the signs of recent activity.
The photos were taken that night, the photographer arrived before 1am and had left by 4am

and he goes on
Statement of João Franciso Páscoa Luis Trigo Barreiras
They immediately left for the scene and arrived about 30 – 40 minutes later, at about 00h40/00h50.
When they arrived at the scene, which they immediately identified due to the presence of GNR officers, as well as quite a lot of people who were walking around the street searching for the child, they immediately went to the apartment in question, where they found several people, including some GNR officers, as well as the head of the Lagos GNR station.
So the search was well under way by that time
The witness states that, at a given moment, the father of the missing girl led him to understand that he had already contacted the Sky News TV station and informed them of the situation.
This is some little time before 4am
As much the father as the girl's mother looked quite worried with the situation and he can even confirm that the mother was very agitated and out of control, crying a lot and shouting in an uncontrolled manner, saying in English "They have taken her".
Confirmation, if any were needed of the use of this particular expression

Re: The Previous Night
Rosa,
Sorry that was my mistake. It should have read 2nd, the night before the alleged incident.
It has been corrected now.
But the point about the unmade bed still stands. Why would Katey not just have chucked the covers back more or less straight when she got up on 3rd. Or was it 'used' on 3rd, during the day perhaps.

Poor Madeleine
On Kate sleeping in Madeleine's room on her apparent last night before abduction:
"Though it can have no bearing that I can imagine on subsequent events, the thought of Gerry and me sleeping alone on this of all nights still makes me feel sad."
Are we sure that Katie is actually human?

Re: The Previous Night
no, she is a sociopath, that makes it almost impossible for "normal" people, even the ones who are not perfect to follow the twisted mind of her.

Re: The Previous Night
She was sleeping with all three children. The last night of their lives when the children would all be together (according to their version of events !)Molly wrote:On Kate sleeping in Madeleine's room on her apparent last night before abduction:

And that makes her feel sad ? Not privileged ? Why is she is unable to spin it and say what a miracle it was that God chose to make that happen.
Madeleine's last night with the family and her mother was there with her, and by her, and for her :puke: .
I just don't get it.

Something got me when you said that, Rosa, I couldn't figure out what. It's back to the airport video, what transformed Mr. Grumpy into that warm, hand-holding, (ugh) supportive husband that we see today?

Re: The Previous Night
That struck me too, that she was essentially saying she it's sad that she wasn't with her husband, but instead with all her children the night before one of them disappeared. If that was me I would be so glad that I'd at least spent that last night in her company albeit sleeping.

Re: The Previous Night
I'm sure kate said on the "late late show"-Irish chat show that she was in a mood with Gerry that night because he wasn't paying her enough attention and that is why she slept there. Does she mention that in the book?

Tut, tut, I just don't think people are keeping up with the script here.
Kate's an ambassador for Missing People
Gerry's campaigning to have the British press gagged
Clarence is a Tory Part candidate
Life moves on.
Madeleine is missed on big family occasions.

Re: The Previous Night
I believe IMO that May 2 the day Kate says was their last day as a family of 5 was one of the truthful statements it seems the truth wants to come out and it will I believe. The reference to her and Gerry sleeping apart that night of "all nights" says something major happened that day or night.... I must say if you put lt together it don't add up unless M was gone already

Re: The Previous Night
Did Kate sleep in the same room as Madeleine because she knew it would be their last night together?

Re: The Previous Night
You're assuming MBM was in the room.
ETA: or even if Kate was there. Whatever, I agree it's suspicious.
