Brilliant. The entire thing based on a false premise.

It was around 10pm when Kate McCann was heard screaming ‘Madeleine’s gone’. Was heard . ? ?
The police and resort manager were notified by one of the friends, and a panic-driven abducted child investigation began shortly afterwards."
