Andy Hopkins: Why must the McCanns be seen as God-like in the public's eye?

(All my opinion hereafter) Great result for Mr Amaral but the expected backlash from the McCann friendly, misinforming, child neglect supporting sometimes completely inaccurate press has people up and down the country angry again at just how exactly do 2 people, 2 nobodies have so much power and influence that they can attempt to mass indoctrinate the entire British public into thinking that they are wholly innocent, they are victims, they did nothing wrong, Portugal is a cesspit of a country with a wholly useless justice and investigation system in place, all because the police of 2 countries followed the evidence and established facts which pointed to these 2 nobodies as THE main suspects in all of this.

Let’s cast our minds back to April 29th 2015 and the Daily Express’s sub-headline of “Maddy Detective did lie about death cover up claim”. This headline followed the last McCann victory in this long running trial on April 28th 2015 within the judgement nowhere was it stated that this was the case, not that it stopped the Daily Express from exaggerating and pushing this lie onto the unsuspecting British public. How do we know this was a lie? The Daily Express were forced to correct this disgusting piece of propaganda a mere 222 days – that’s 7 months and 8 days after the original article was mass produced and distributed to the largely unsuspecting public thanks to some sterling work from Tony Bennett (whether or not you like him is not the point here).

But of course the damage was already done, together with other articles from the rest of the media. Oh and in case you were wondering where the correction article was in the Daily Express on the 7th December 2015, it was slap bang in the middle of the front page.... Oh hang on that’s not right, this is the McCann’s we’re talking about... It was actually pushed all the way back to page 21 on the lower left corner of the page. Anyway let’s now jump back to the present day and on the day of the breaking news that Mr Amaral had won January 31st 2017, media outlets are probably somewhat reluctant to print the news of the McCann’s defeat. All of them couldn’t resist printing inaccurate and potentially libellous comments about Mr Amaral, the apparent way the investigation was conducted etc.

Even though the news was about Mr Amaral winning, it still had to be made out in a sympathetic pro-McCann way, none more so than the Daily Telegraph headline of “Madeleine McCann’s parents could be sued by Police chief who falsely accused them of covering up death”. This headline was from a supposed “crime correspondent” Martin Evans and Chief Reporter Robert Mendick, a crime correspondent who is not familiar with the concept of evidence and facts in crime. Mr Amaral did not falsely accuse them of covering up Madeleine’s death. This was the conclusion that the PJ came to after assessing ALL evidence and facts. Several high profile people within the Portuguese justice system have said the same thing based on the official conclusion of the official police investigation files.

To make such a statement of “falsely accused” indicates that the Daily Telegraph must have concrete evidence that this is the case to make such a comment – Where is it?? Is this another breach of the IPSO code of practice, I suspect so because again there is NO determination that this is the case. Apart from one Daily Mirror excerpt, none of them have told people about the publicly available police files. They are now regurgitating a very public threat to ALL distribution companies about selling The Truth of the Lie in the UK albeit with a few extra bolt on sentences, the original threat made around April 24th 2016.

Just who are these people to be able to issue such demands to multi-million/billion pound companies that have to take heed from them??? Most of us know that the McCann’s have paid PR companies to keep them in the media, to give them a good image, they’ve had Clarence “to control what comes out in the media“ Mitchell working for them full time, then on reserve since the beginning, but why do I feel like it’s someone else manipulating the press in all this?

There has to be a reason how these 2 people must be seen as god like in the public’s eye (of which they most certainly aren’t), perhaps that is the answer or maybe the answer lies elsewhere?

It's just the Emperor's New Clothes I think. People only see what they want to see. 

Remember Doctor Shipman? Nobody questioned that a doctor could do anything wrong.

And in this case, the McCann's have been helped by the fact that this happened in Portugal. It must all be the fault of the Portuguese, not the British.

People's own biased opinions stop them seeing what is right in front of them.

(Not saying the McCanns are guilty of anything, but that's what happens)

That's the level this seems to be at.

"National security issues" are normally anything embarrassing to the establishment.

There is a photo of the Mc's sitting on rocks in this article. I have never seen this image before... does anyone know if this was taken in 2007 or later?
