Message to the Tapas 7 - Potential crimes committed
As we all know, the Tapas 7 could have played a big part in covering up the 'disappearance' of Madeline McCann.
If there indeed was a cover up, and Madeline was not 'abducted', then each member of the Tapas 7 have committed serious crimes, some so serious that their maximum sentences carry a term of life imprisonment.
If they are guilty of a cover-up, then they must be secretly crapping their pants! Eventually the full truth will come out, it might take a couple more years yet though. Either the police will solve the case, or the burden of guilt will cause one of the Tapas 7 to crack, if they have anything to hide.
Below is a list of crimes that have been potentially committed by the Tapas 7. There may even be more that could be added to the list, so if anyone else can think of any other potential crimes then do please add them into the thread...
perjury
perverting the course of justice
obstruction of a police investigation/obstruction of justice
wasting police time/resources
conspiracy to commit fraud
assisting an offender
assisting in the disposal of a body
conspiracy to commit manslaughter/murder
As I have already said, these are very serious crimes, if any of them are guilty in covering up what happened in Portugal, then they will most definitely be locked away for a very long time.
So this is a message to the Tapas 7, if you are obscuring the real truth, it's better you confess to the police, and come clean now, because if/when this case is solved, and it's proven that you played a part, it's better that you confessed of your own accord, and fully assisted the police, rather than going away for a very long time.
Aside Jane's mum, you all have young children, imagine your children growing up in foster care because both their parents are in prison for a very long time?! If you were to go to prison, you could even be dead before you were eventually released. Your life would effectively be over if you were found to be covering up serious crimes.
If you all know something, is it worth ruining your lives, and your children's lives?
If you all do know anything you have a chance to avoid prison, or at least a very long sentence. So if you lot are in any way involved in a cover-up, then it is imperative that you go to the police now, before it's too late.
The truth will come out eventually....
The choice is yours....

Agreed. Even if they didn't know the exact details at the time, and were merely playing the parts they were appointed to, they have had the opportunity to read the evidence and to work it all out for themselves.
That might involve realising that they had been conned and used.
It is never too late to tell the truth.
That is what a deathbed confession is all about, and I understand it is important for persons of particular superstitious persuasions.
WC Fields was seen reading the bible on his deathbed. As a known atheist, he was asked what on earth he was doing.

It's my opinion that many have suffered being conned and used in this sad case. My heart is heavy for anyone who has the truth. What would happen to them if they open their mouths? I hazzard a guess that they will be crushed by the powers that be. The media will expose them if they even had a parking ticket and they risk having their lives, the lives of their family, their income, their privacy and their reputations destroyed. The PR machine will make sure that happens and the government will wag the tail of the dog. I often ask myself if I knew the truth would I risk all of that. Would I risk telling the truth at the cost of my own family and my own life. It's too sad that people are being sued for 'obstructing' the search for Madeleine. I wonder what the McCanns feel their role in this is? I wonder if the McCanns feel their own behaviour has failed in the search for their daughter.

Re: Message to the Tapas 7 - Potential crimes committed
If any of the T7 were involved or there was anyone who helped in the disappearance of Madeleine then I think that they would have been made aware at that time of what was at risk, the commitment they were making and for how long. After this length of time anyone who wishes to come forward will be at great risk as acquila has said. This alone would hold them to silence even if they wished otherwise.
I also have misgivings regarding any information that was given to the SY Review.

Re: Message to the Tapas 7 - Potential crimes committed
Have no doubts their friends knew about their involvement, if not back then, then after they were made arguidos and especially after CSI dogs marking their belongings were splashed all over the papers.
You can't seriously expect me to believe that a bunch of intelligent and seemingly educated professional does not have the basic discerning ability to sense something is not right about the mccanns' story - that their story is not 2 plus 2 equals the usual 4.
Even my friends who are not well versed on their case when they heard the mysterious circumstances surrounding Maddie's disappearance and saw the mccanns' dodgy behavior during tv interviews, immediately drew the conclusion the mccanns were involved and covered up to save their own sorry arse because plenty is at stake for them. They think they fool people, they don't.
Of all people, if the Tapas 7 were ignorant of mccanns involvement, I will eat up my pc and more.
They merely have good control over the media's output as a result of their direct input - nothing more nothing less - it is just that - their input.
