Scotland Yard are going to sell cuddly toys to raise funds for 'Police' work.

No doubt McCanns will get the franchise.

The one in the middle reminds me of a certain detective we all know; the one on the left looks very sad/sweet, a bit like poor little Maddie

What on earth is this country coming to when our police forces have to resort to selling cuddly toys to survive??
I thought the shop on the Madeleine site was not right .
What next prison gift shops??

If they're quick they could revive either cuddlecat.co.uk. Or cuddlecat.org.uk. Those two domains were registered to TM within weeks of 3/5/07.

Perhaps that's where they got the idea?

Some prisons have cafe/bistro outlets for the general public. I think Cardiff has one. I haven't tried it but I doubt porridge is on the menu. laughat

Didn't Westminster try to sell memorabilia mugs a few years ago?

You know it's bad when there's fund raising 'initiatives' in public bodies. If they all paid their taxes and claimed honourable and moral expenses we'd save a packet...oh and if they had the ability to manage the money we already have that might be a good start.

I wonder if they will manage to make a success of selling mugs ? Seems unlikely as they dont seem able to solve crimes anymore.
Scotland Yard seems to be a decaying corrupt institution,over staffed and over paid.

50000 staff plus support,a budget of over £4 billion.

And they cant even work out if the windows were open or shut.

Its easier to play politics than do the job properly and clearly far more rewarding.
