corroboration of quotes

can anybody confirm that g mccann actually said what I have read here and elsewhere that if madeleine had injured herself in the apartment, why would that be her parents' fault....I have also read the following attributed to him, that if she had hurt herself, why would they not have tried to help her?

I can also find no evidence to show he ever described madeleines eye defect as a good marketing ploy.
I am a major mccann skeptic but cant see any evidence of the above.

Mccannfiles.com is a good repository of all Things related to the case. It has a transcript of the Vanity Fair interview where the marketing ploy is mentioned . There is a Transcript of the Expresso interview where the "why would it be our fault" is mentioned in response to the question about being made arguidos.

If you need to track back to sources for verification then the quotes are easy enough to find and the mccann files is usually a good place to start - only took me a few minutes to find these articles.

To quote from the interview "Media exposure – “Appearing in the media was never good. We did it to publicize Madeleine’s face and to find her. We failed”

If they did it to to publicize Madeleine’s face then why were the photos old ones of her? How is this going to help find her if she looks different......erm hello!!!

Why didn't they give their camera of the photos straight away to the police to grab the latest photo of Maddie from it? But GM had to go back to England 3 weeks later to get it?

There is a topic on here that discusses this whole 'eye' being a good marketing ploy and the later retractions. The McCanns even denied saying this when things like Maddies face with the 'mark' at 7 O clock was being displayed on all the scoreboards at Wembley etc

thank you so much for directing me to these, I am not well with MS relapse and have eye as well as general fatigue. I suspected no one would have put these things in quotes unless could be attributed to whomever uttered them.and volila here they are.
I am trying to maintain a balanced view and on balance I am more and more disturbed than ever after reading the book by Kate Mc which I believe holds a lot of inforamtion for a professional who will examine it forensically. I have quite a few conclusions drawn solely from what is written and will post here over coming days.
One more thing, sorry, or maybe a few more things, I have read some [ to me currently until I read more factual info] allusions to there having been a fake Madeleine, creche document forgeries, even that the mccann pair were working for the government. Please help direct me to where I might read more as I am keen to do so as these seem to be located on the widler shores of conspiracy theory and as such might only serve to discredit all the efforts of those who want a reopening of this case based on facts evidence and plausible theories arising from what is not speculation. thank you very much once again .
