Experimental Drugs?
Hi all im new to this site, so forgive me if this topic has been covered. I have thought over the last few years that maybe the holiday was not a relaxing holiday. I mean that in the sense that there were numerous Doctors, Nurses etc all in the Algarve at the same week. Maybe...... this "holiday" was part of a scheme which was funded by the goverment, to do certain experiments of new drugs which would become available if the outcome of these experiments were successful. Maybe that would explain Gerrys comment on the bus "Im not here to enjoy myself" quote. And would also explain Rachels quote "we would be able to resucitate a child" It would account for all the help and assistance they recieved through high profile celebrities, and polititions getting involved. And would explain why they could have gotten "help" to get rid of Madeleines body. Imo thats why they are not being prosected even for neglect as i believe there is more than this than neglect involved.

Hi alfie02, and welcome [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I have altered your post to normal font, as it looked rather "loud" in that bold red. Also moving to debate section.

The same thing has crossed my mind several times alfie02, along with studying child behaviour and development, by the likes of Sir Professor Winston, over a 10 year period. All of them would get protection or the whole project would have to be scrapped.

Re: Experimental Drugs?
Good conspiracy theory.
Suitable for a long 'airport novel' but far too complicated for real life.

Hi alfie02 and
A good thought but I also think unlikely mind the whole McCann tale is unlikely and they seem to be trying to get us to swallow their side of the story or will Carter Ruck (legal) you if you don't

Re: Experimental Drugs?
Carter Ruck can do what they like, they won't be able to stop the truth coming out. Never. It doesn't matter if they are being paid to do their job, they have a duty of responsibility and their actions in this case have been duly noted and stored for when the time is right
In PDL that week there were a number of other doctors at the resort which people have picked up on going through records. Even one of the Irwins who booked a table at the same time on May 3rd at the Tapas bar (their statements that have never been released) were nurses over from the States. Though I can't see a doctors convention where they are all in Portugal experimenting with drugs. If there is any grain of truth I would suspect these doctors were experimenting in private at home off the record so to speak, and they were abusing their positions in trying to make money for themsleves. its more likely it was a swingers holiday
There has been a lot of debate about Calpol night, which has since 2007 been discontinued in the UK and not to be given to kids under 6. As well as not to be given with certain conditions and allergies etc. One of the many odd things the McCanns did that night was KM constantly checking on the twins to check they were breathing ok, and the fact the twins slept right through all the commotion without waking at all. In my experience of young bablies, you only have to sneeze and they will wake up, so after all KM's smashing on walls & beds , screaming loudly, people all in the apartment shouting and talking and seaching, abductors breaking into room pulling up shutters etc they happily slept through. I don't think so somehow not unless they were 'aided'

experimental drugs
I have to agree with you there JD there just seems to be a lots of Doctors, nurses etc in the Algarve at the same time. How many people have went on holiday with nearly all of the other holiday makers being in the same profession ? Maybe there was something more sinister going on that week, but it beggars belief that it was just a coincidence

Re: Experimental Drugs?
What has always had my alarm bells ringing is the suspicious booking by one Dr Palmer/Pawer.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] PALMER
If you look at the daily OC lists, you will see that there is a Dr Palmer booked in every day into G20 from the 23/4 to the 11/5.
But what happens on the 6th is a bit of a mystery. The list run on the 6th is for activities on the 5th, the day after Madeleine goes missing and when the PJ would be swarming all over the guest lists. Check it out for yourself, but on the 6th, our Dr Palmer who was in G20, suddenly becomes Dr Pawer in G20. But then on the 7th, he changes back to Dr Palmer. ??? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] PAWER
Just look at what our Dr Pawer does and he is from Gerry's neck of the woods.

If the MET are looking in by any chance, this is another one of those little anomalies I was telling you about..

Totally agree

I've seem this theory surface before. IMO most unlikely, because the last thing doctors would do is to experiment on their own children, or indeed themselves. Plenty of other ways to test drugs.
When Rachel M mentioned resuscitation it may have been because the excuse used by the McCanns, 'going to lose job, childen, house, all because of Calpol/accident'. I never thought all the Tapas knew everything. They do now I should think.
