The 0845 number on the website of the mccanns can't be called from overseas?
I was reading a sky board and someone in spain said it was dud as they tried to call it
What's that all about then

Wasn't it also discovered that the contact details didn't work?

The case of Shannon Matthews turned out to be a simple attempt to make a mint. Who can forget the bewildered look on her mother Karen's face when her daughter was found earlier than planned and a friend had to call out to tell her to smile? I can almost feel sorry for her, you can't blame her for trying what was working perfectly well for the McCanns. Here we are four years down the line and the gravy train is still wending its way up and down the land. As the McCanns knew from the start that any reported sightings could not be of Madeleine and they set up a limited company (in a virtually impossible short period of time which is very suspicious) to raise funds, I can come to no other conclusion that is also a money-making hoax. Poor old Karen Matthews must be kicking herself that she didn't move within a better class of society.

the online email form for students travelling this summer (a new initiative of team McCann) does not work in the sense that you send in your details and nobody contacts you. A student I know pressed the send button on Tuesday last 7th June but no acknowledgement after 5 days. Surely it should be set up to at least send an automatic acknowledgement saying thank you for completing the form and we will be in touch shortly.

Maybe there is a technical problem and the info never arrived, but given the info posted before this, it would appear that the initiative to get students looking is another part of the spin that they are looking for Madeleine.

Thanks for all the replies. I find it a little odd that contact details are not working. But there are a few odd things in this case.

no reply from the official page telling concerned members of the public what to do, or updating on this error, or telling them to keep trying, I mean they might miss that 'vital call that holds the piece of the puzzle'

Remember the money spent by the Madeleine Fund isn't for searching for the poor girl it is mainly for Legal Expenses (suing) and of course supporting the "remaining" family. To respond to the all the emails and man the phones would certainly costs £10's of thousands a month if they were serious in expecting that lucky call that they appear to be waiting for that will reunite them with their daughter.

But perhaps that is not their aim?

It certainly doesn't look as if Team McCann is willing to put in any physical effort (much like their own searches for Madeleine) in following up any potential leads and offers of help.

perhaps the mccanns haven't been able to pay the phone bill as the Fund is running low...so the line has in effect been cut off?

So send in a donation to help out - did s poster say that their Paypal is working?

Kirsty Karakoyun i tryed to purchase the bands many times via paypal and the site doesnt seem to work. also used the 'contact us' link to report the problem various times and had no response.
