When is Mr Amaral's book due out. I believe it is the third one?

FORMER Portuguese police chief Goncalo Amaral is set for a new legal battle with Kate and Gerry McCann after writing a second book about their missing daughter Madeleine.
Mr Amaral’s book will be published in Portugal next month shortly before Kate McCann publishes her fundraising book called Madeleine.

Mr Amaral’s wife Sofia said: “Goncalo has been working on his book for about six months, spending days and nights assessing all the evidence. He has put in an enormous amount of work. The title has not been decided and a publication date will be sorted out this week.
“At this stage he doesn’t want to say too much, but he will say his investigation was cut short and he will explain what he would have done if he had been allowed to continue. The book is not just about Madeleine. He gives the background to other big cases he was involved with.

I read somewhere, (maybe MM) the book was due out shortly, in the next week I think.

That was written in March, so that implies his book is due out in April.

But perhaps there has been a bit of slippage. It happens.

Dr Amaral's wife also said that it was timed to be released before the McCann book, so the latest date must be the 11th May 2011. Unless the publication of the McCanns book is delayed.

I cannot see the mccann book being delayed. All the big names already have it on their websites. And they don't do that unless they think it will sell. I can't see it being given away with a leaflet either.

I am sure Dr and Mrs Amaral know what they are doing. He is a very experienced author and as a former policeman is a man whose integrity is not to be questioned.

If Mrs Amaral has announced to the press that her husbands new book will be published before the McCanns book, then it will be. Otherwise she and Dr Amaral would look a bit daft, and I cannot believe they or their new publishers could allow that to happen.

Leaflets published and distributed already?

But not in Rothley because of more legal action according to a newspaper this morning.

Imagine the anguish the twins go through when kids at their school are bullying them because of these leaflets. Not good. They are after all only kids, and people here and elsewhere are always professing their worry about their well-being, then leaflets happen. Sorry, but I think it's nasty.

Tony Bennett has stated somewhere on this forum that he told a journalist that no leaflets would be distributed in Rothley.

Imagine the anguish the twins will go through when they are old enough to access the internet and realise that their parents have lied to them about what happened to Madeleine. Sorry, but I think that's nasty. The McCann's can't ban the internet.

I don't need to imagine what the twins will go through when they are older.

I am concerned about what they are going through NOW when spiteful kids and their gossiping parents are making their lives a misery about something they had nothing to do because people are handing out these leaflets.

From people who profess SO much to caring about the welfare of these twins, I find handing out leaflets harassing their parents really quite despicable.

What's despicable is what the McCann's have done and continue to do. They have no concern about the mental health issues they are forcing on their twins by letting them believe Madeleine was taken by a monster and how the twins want to find this monster and fight him.

No. The McCann's are only interested in money and not what they are doing to their two remaining children. How do you know spiteful children and their parents are making their lives a misery? It's certainly not because of leaflets. Any damage being done to the twins is by their own parents hands. Just as it was Madeleine's own parents who forced her fate on her by the very fact they left her alone night after night after night until she 'disappeared'. That's nasty that is.

People doing things NOW are responsible for their OWN actions.

We all know what happened 4 years ago, but things being done NOW, such as leaflet distributing is wrong.

How many of these leaflet distributors would announce publically what they are doing? How many would tell their kids over dinner what they are partkaing in? Not many is my thoughts. Because they know deep down they are doing something wrong. Most people see it as harassing and stalking, and when is that ever right?

Are you suggesting the children would only be bullied on the basis of the leaflets only? I feel that their anguish will come when they find out, that not only were they left alone by their parents (they may take some comfort in that their parents left the doors unlocked for them in case a fire broke out and that they could crawl out of their cots and devise a fire exit route amongst themselves)
but that the anguish will be that when their sister was 'abducted' that their mum then left them alone again for the 2nd time while the 'abductor' was still at large, It will be the actions of what the parents have and have not done that will upset the children, You only have to go on face book and see that people are handing over their hard earned cash for travel packs and bracelets which they are not receiving, and there for surpassing their travel dates, This has been brought up several times now, and people saying their money has been paid, How are the Mccanns expecting people to help them if they don't help themselves, They have had the campaign going for four years now, How hard is it to send this travel packs with posters of Maddie in a first class envelope,
