Stockport County 1 Macclesfield Town 4
This battle between two minnows in Football League 2 today may on the face of it seem to have no relevance to the complete mystery of Madeleine McCann.
Until you look at this article from 2009:

...and see just how Brian Kennedy has ruined Stockport County by installing his favoured Sale Sharks at the very same football ground, forcing Stockport County to cede preference to Sale Sharks in terms of arrnaging and rearranging home matches for both clubs.
Today's heavy defeat by fellow Cheshire strugglers Macclesfield Town pushes Stockport County ever nearer the precipice of relegation to the Non-League at the end of this season in April.
Brian Kennedy bulldozed his way into Stockport County with wads of notes, 4 million pounds worth to be precise. A few years later, his intervention is proving disastrous.
Brian Kennedy bulldozed his way into the Madeleine McCann case, effectively running the entire private investigation from a house he bought specially for the purpose in Knutsford, a town, like Stockport and Macclesfield, in the notorious 'Kennedy Triangle' - where things mysteriously disappear, just like in the feared Bermuda Triangle.
Things like millions of pounds of Fund money, Kevin Halligen's receipts, and the notes of his now-famous meeting in November 2007 with Murat and lawyers Pagarete and Smethurst all seem to vanish into thin air.
But maybe Kennedy's intervention on behalf of Madeleine McCann will be a triumph, when compared with the fate awaiting Stockport County, squeezed aside by Kennedy's Sale Sharks.
