RICHARD D HALL WEBSITE

It appears that Richard's website has been down for a few days. E mails are coming back not getting through. The last time I was able to access his website, there was no news about his next film, which is unusual. My gut feeling is that something is wrong. Difficult to get tickets for his next tour without accessing his website or his e mail address. Can you help please?

Also just spotted that on You tube, all of his videos NOW appear to have had the comments turned OFF!

Well, at random I have gone to one of Richard Hall's many YouTube videos on the Madeleine McCann case:

MADELEINE McCANN: EMBEDDED CONFESSIONS - PART 1

It is very much still up.

It is showing 500,340 views to date

And over 5,400 'Likes'

And 3,561 comments - all there so far as I can see

Looking good to me

Thanks for that reply Tony. However, there is something wrong because when I have gone into Embedded Confessions Part 1, although it is still on youtube, all the comments have been turned off, along with all the others. My e mail direct to Richard has come back. I wonder if the BT server is the problem. I have tried his usual e mail address without success. Could someone try sending an e mail for me. Thank you.

Part 1 of the Phantoms works perfectly on Youtube and comments are all there.

I too cannot access Richard's website at the moment.

Richplanet is up and running as usual and showcasing his latest 2020 ventures - I suggest you try again..

As for YouTube, they've made drastic changes over the last few months, it's hard to keep up. They keep telling me to sign-in to take full advantage of what's on offer $i don\'t know$ .

I have tried all of the above suggestions, but to no avail. Each time it states 'cannot reach this page.' I have sent another e mail to his correct e mail address, and it has failed.

A polite request to all Richplanet viewers ...
If you cannot access Richplanet.net please either,
1. Change your ISP to a non BT/EE provider
or
2. Complain to BT/EE and inform them that you will refuse to pay your bill unless they allow full internet access which includes access to Richplanet.net. If they claim that the problem is not with BT (and is with your computer, router or firewall) they are lying. Tell them this problem is specific to BT and ask to speak to a system administrator.

Thanks Jill. I have chosen to do the second suggestion and complained to BT/EE. Firstly I was on the phone for a total of 65 minutes, resulting in the advisor attempting to reset my hub (with no success). Finally, he said he would call me back, which he did within the hour. His comments were: "We cannot rectify it. Our hub is blocking the website. We do not have a system administrator, since I have already spoken to the relevant people." He then instructed me to go through a VPN, or go out and buy a third party hub, which they will give me £50 towards the payment. What do you make of all that please? I have also observed on Twitter that other BT subscribers cannot get through to Richard's website.

The problem does lie with BT for whatever reason. I loaded a VPN and accessed a gateway via France and connected to Richplanet straight away.

I've just had this email from Richard D. Hall, and I'm sure other members of CMOMM who follow Richard's work have had the same message:

Over the last week, many people have reported to me that they cannot access
the Richplanet.net website. All these people are with either BT or EE
(which is owned by BT), so the problem is specific to BT users. You can get
around this problem by updating your DNS server settings as follows :
8.8.8.8 as the primary and 8.8.4.4 as the secondary. Or you can use the TOR
internet browser avialble free to download. I have no proof this is
malicious cencorship by BT, but it is very annoying that it comes just
before a new book and film are being launched. I would be grateful if all
those who cannot access the website using a standard internet browser,
contact BT and insist that they make the necessary changes to their service
so that the Richplanet site is visible again.
