All about the bass Empty All about the bass

Post by Tucky Buzzard 21.10.16 23:01

Hi everyone,
I have been looking into this subject for only a few weeks and am impressed by the erudition and dedication of the members here. I hope someone can clarify a couple of things for me...
Going by statements I've read, I am lead to believe that
1. A baby developed a taste for sea bass
2. In the weeks following the disappearance of their child, a couple embarked on shopping trips to buy fresh sea bass with the intention of preparing and cooking it at their villa

Have I somehow misunderstood what I have read?

There were two 'babies', the twins: Amelie & Sean.

Except they were not 'babies', they were toddlers of very nearly 2 years and 3 months on the day that Madeleine was reported missing.

Welcome to the forum

They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

Amelie McCann (aged 2): "Maddie's jammies!".

Thanks Tony.
My mistake, the twins were indeed better classed as "toddlers". That aside, does the rest of the assertion stand?

Yes.

And dogs can't tell the difference between sea bass, human blood and cadaver smells.

It is alleged.

Sea Bass in 5A?

I don't think so, they were all eating out.

A new thread all about sea bass - what's that got to do with the price of fish?
Not being much good at remembering awkward names, already I'm tempted to refer to @TB.  I can see the confusion arising winkwink ..

I'm a genuine newcomer, I can assure you, just trying to clarify a few things. Apologies if this has been covered ad nauseum already, the layout of this forum is different from others I've visited.
I was just checking a couple of things really...
A toddler with most discerning tastes (and the requisite language to express them? ) is fed sea bass, a fish that doesn't come in tins and must be bought fresh and cooked properly, both before and in the weeks following the disappearance of his sister.
Ok got that.

Hello Tucky Buzzard and welcome to the forum.
There is a wealth of information on this forum and to spend time reading it will not be wasted.Begin by just keying in specific interests in the case into the search bar, you will not be disappointed.
Re the sea bass. One of my favorite fish as it happens and other than maybe a child having a little taste of a  parents plate of food with a carefully inspected for bones flake or two I cannot believe that the either of the twins would ever taste it.
As it seems apart from breakfast before the creche and a sandwich or pasta at lunch time their only other meal apart from biscuits and milk before bed time, they ate their main meal of the day at the after creche high tea and not for one moment do I believe sea bass would have been served.

Hi Nina, Me neither!
The notion of severely distressed parents buying fresh fish for a toddler just doesn't add up for me.
In those circumstances I'd just about manage to put a sandwich in front of my remaining children.
Am I right to suppose that an inquisitive parent, googling "cadavarene " in 2007, might find mention of sea bass?

Maybe someone doing some deep research but to find something first you need to know what you are looking for if you get me drift.
In all my years of nursing and the last offices carried out so many times,of course hygiene was paramount but not the thought of contamination with cadaverine, more basic contaminations were in mind.

Gerry McCann's Blog  Day 36 - 8th June 2007

Quieter day today. This was a good chance to catch up with campaign e-mails and phone calls after the trips to Berlin and Amsterdam. At lunchtime we went to the release of 1000 yellow balloons at the beach carrying cards with Madeleine’s picture on it and information in 5 different languages including arabic. There were similar launches in Manchester and Madrid. The event was organsied by the Sun who, like almost all of the media, have been incredibly supportive. I told Nick, the Sun journalist, that we are happy to support all strategies which increase the chances of finding Madeleine.

Later in the afternoon we went down to the beach and had dinner in one of the restaurants which Sean and Amelie really enjoyed. Sean, in particular has acquired a taste for sea-bass!

Kate and I did a short interview for BBC East Midlands to thank everyone for their support and it is likely that this will be shown around most of the regions, certainly Northwest and BBC Scotland. Kate and most of the family headed down to the church for the regular Friday night vigil but I was just too shattered. Tommorrow will largely be a family day although I am not sure what we will be doing yet.

Usual nonsense emanating from the joint heads of the parents McCann.

And then Sean McCann was seen wearing the red tshirt that stank of cadaverine sea bass that Eddie the sniffer dog alerted to.

Was this blog online the date it is set on - as if so wouldn't anything cadaver tainted have vanished by august if that was the intention of posting it.
