From Chapter 15 - Summary and Critique - Tony Bennett

Dr Kate: “On the night of 1 September I dreamed about Madeleine for the first time on four months…it was such a dreadful experience…Although I was dreaming, I could feel her. It was as if parts of my body that had been hibernating for months suddenly began to stir. I could sense the cold, dark days lifting as I luxuriated in warmth and light. And Madeleine was holding me, her little arms wrapped tightly round me, and it felt so good, I could smell her, I could feel her with every one of my senses as I soaked up this heavenly moment. My Madeleine. I wanted to stay like this for ever. And then I woke up. Ice began to course through my body, driving out every endorphin and remnant of warmth. I didn’t understand. What was happening? How could this be? I could still feel her! A heavy boot connected with my stomach and the ache in my chest was worse than I’d known it. I was struggling for breath, almost as if I were being strangled. Please God, don’t let her go! Stay with me, Madeleine. Please stay with me. Don’t go - stay with Mummy. Please, sweetheart, hold on. I love you so much. I started to cry. The crying built into seismic sobs. An unearthly sound, like the howl of a wounded animal, was coming out of my mouth. The crushing pain in my chest intensified to the point where I thought I was going to die. I’d been with her. And then she was gone. Again”.

To me that is the only part from what I have seen that does not sound contrived.

But as you say on another thread it might very well describe the moment Madeleine died.

Being a newbie here i am not sure if anyone here follows statement analysis. if you do apologies for the post. The theory is humans 'leak the truth' in their speech, no matter how hard they try to cover up. It is a fascinating study of human linguistics. A great website to check this out is [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] . Basically 'i did not murder b' is a strong denial (believable), but 'everybody out there thinks that i killed b, is not. The second leaks that the person is in fact guilty from ...'i killed b' taken out the phrase. Also people lying will add ridiculous, it is insulting,my lawyer ... to sentences. okay this explanation is very basic so got look at some statement analysis websites and study the basics from the experts.
having said this i also find the dream story weird and wonder if it is 'leaking'. the whole tone etc is different, almost showing emotion lacking so much through out the book.

Hi Admin thank you for that, They have just changed to a new blog programme/format this week. i personally do not like it it is hard to find previous posts. They are very involved at the moment with the Anthony case but there have been a lot of requests since the book came out for Peter do an analysis. it should be easier now as the the words are in black and white. in the past hard working people transcribed interviews and video clips for him to do. i felt that especially in the later interviews they are so well coached (or on some kind of anti anxiety meds)that they are very hard to read.
If anyone is interested there is also a another great website called : eyesforlies.blogspot.com this is great for learning.
Many people 'have a bad feeling' about something and do not know why, these two websites will help you know why, hi

For Paulo Sargento, the thesis that Gonçalo Amaral revealed at first hand to "SP" that the blanket could have been used in a funeral ceremony at the Luz chapel "is very interesting".

And he adds: "In reality, when the McCanns went to Oprah's Show, the blanket was mentioned. At a given moment, when Oprah tells Kate that she heard her mention a blanket several times, Kate argued that a mother who misses a child always wants to know if she is comfortable, if she is warm, and added, referring to Maddie, that sometimes she asked herself if the person who had taken her would cover her up with her little blanket (but the blanket was on the bed after Maddie, supposedly, disappeared!!!).
