This was posted by Rosemary Smith on 'The true controversy of Madeleine McCann' facebook page so I thought I would bring it over here.

A tale of 3 badgers by Natalie Charlesworth

Kate, Gerry and the man that sells double glazing.. .

When suspects in a crime start badgering important witnesses and others involved, it's really time for concern. Kate, Gerry and Brian Kennedy were all involved in this under hand tactic of what can only be seen as self preservation and little to do with finding their daughter.

So who did they contact and why?

Robert Murat.

Very significant this one. At the time he was the only other official suspect. I'm sure that's very dodgy ground they were treading and that may explain why Brian Kennedy was sent to deal with this one. In November 2007 Kennedy flew to Portugal and met with Murat and his Portuguese lawyer. Murats lawyer told the BBC Kennedy went to offer Murat support and to say he didn't believe he was involved. This is a very strange thing to do considering Murats arguido status. British lawyer Edward Smethurst was also at this meeting, do you need a lawyer when you're merely offering support? My theory is they were more than likely sussing out if he was still a suitable patsy.
It's also worth mentioning that on the 13th of November Kennedy met with the PJ. This time he took Metado 3 with him. Claiming that Metado 3 were working for him and not Kate and Gerry, Kennedy said his only interest was finding Madeleine even if it transpired the McCanns were involved.

Mr Smith.

Another one for Brian Kennedy. He contacted Mr Smith asking him to help with an efit of the man he witnessed carrying a child on the night Madeleine disappeared. On this occasion Mr Smith declined. He'd already cooperated with the police and was due to give a statement saying he was fairly sure the man he saw was Gerry. This is outrageous, why is Brian Kennedy contacting Mr Smith before he makes this statement? How would Brian Kennedy know about Mr Smith's call to the police? Whatever they were so obviously up to it didn't work, Mr Smith made his statement anyway.

Martin Grimes's boss.

Martin Grimes confirms this in his statement. Of course this badgering is done by Gerry 'incredibly unreliable' McCann himself. Obviously we don't know the nature of this conversation but after his outburst with Sandra it doesn't take much working out, it's unlikely he was calling to praise the work of Grimes and his dogs.

Catriona Baker.

Madeleine's nanny at the ocean club. She was invited to visit Kate and Gerry at their home, once again in November 2007. This is their prime witness to Madeleine being alive on the 3rd of May. She's also been asked to provide another statement
in a request sent the PJ by none other than Kate and Gerry. They request her to be interviewed in October and in November she's visiting them at home. All the time these people are suspects in their daughters disappearance. Shocking stuff.

Paulo Robelo.

Kate wrote a letter to the man who took the case over from Goncalo Amaral. It's full of the usual 'poor me' drivel we expect from Kate but for comedy value she boldly states " We will continue to work with the PJ (and are keen to do so as soon as possible!) as we have done since that moment when I discovered Madeleine had been taken." Why was she lying to him, he knew fine well they hadn't cooperated. It was just another attempt to manipulate the situation.

Mrs Fenn

The late Mrs Fenn was visited by Gerry. He, apparently, according to her son Ian wanted to apologise for all the unwanted press attention. What? They've never had a decent word for the lady. Kate certainly didn't in her book. So it wasn't anything to do with Mrs Fenn being a witness to Madeleine crying for over an hour and a half then. It's my opinion that Gerry was sniffing around to find out what Mrs Fenn had told the police.

The Tapas 7

In October 2007 Kate and Gerry requested all 7 be reinterviewed and via their lawyers they agree. In the middle of November they all attended a 'secret' meeting in the Rothley Court Hotel. Witnesses and suspects meet again, and the timing so suspicious, once again.

Francisca.

A former Ocean club employee. Francisca is not her real name, and in the interview she gave her identity was hidden. The sinister truth about some of this badgering was revealed. This lady was scared, she was contacted many times by Susan Hubbard, friend of Kate McCann. She visited the OC and left notes at her home, desperate for some reason to put Francisca in touch with Kate. Kate wanted to know what Francisca had seen, she had questions for her, Kate threatened family members would go to Portugal and visit her if she didn't speak her.She was harrassed by a man claiming to be a detective hired by Kate and Gerry 'Arthur Bailey'. I have no doubt that Arthur was infact Brian Kennedy. This is quite something because Francesca was off work for three days and she saw nothing. Could it be significant that Francesca lived by the church in PDL? Were they worried what she might've seen?

The treatment of Francesca is quite alarming and it leaves me questioning the kind of pressure the three badgers were applying. It's obvious to me why Kate and Gerry were so determined to speak to witnesses and others involved but Brian Kennedy is a mystery. Multimillionaire Brian made his fortune from double glazing company Everest amongst others. He was pretty quick to come forward with fianancial support for Kate and Gerry and he was responsible for hiring Metado 3, he even hand picked the detectives. Why was he getting personally involved hiring staff, badgering witnesses, and speaking to the police? It's so strange that anyone in Kate and Gerry's shoes would put so much faith in someone with zero experience in finding missing people. This isn't how innocent people behave.

It's written in stone that these three interferred with witnesses while Kate and Gerry were suspects. A stone that should be unturned.

A very interesting post admin, which gives us another interesting view as to the possible connections of certain people, and how witnesses were badgered by TM. A criminal offence I am sure, and for which they should be charged. This tells me that Portugal was also involved in the cover up as ti what happened to Madeleine. Dr Amaral became a sacrificial lamb, because he is to honest, and like a bulldog, would not let go.

And in fact, according to the translation by Joana Morais, Francisca had this to say as well:

Voice Over: From the talks that she had with her colleagues ‘Francisca’ believes that she was the only Ocean Club employee target of the private detectives and of the couple. She doesn’t have doubts that Madeleine is dead and she hopes to explain why to Gonçalo Amaral, now that the former inspector is committed in reopening the process.

Is it on record exactly where she lived? Obviously not to an exact address as that would remove her anonymity, but 'close to the church' interests me a lot, particularly which side of the church.

Me too, but I suppose we can't know since she wishes to remain anonymous.
