A burglar has been accidentally killed by residents after he broke into a house in the Algarve.  He was put in a neck hold by the son of the family whilst the police were phoned...  NO!  Surely not...  Could this be the Barry George moment de nos jours? Where was he is 2007, when... GROAN....

Good on the lads for sorting out the thieving git. When someone breaks in to your home, all bets are off. It might just be a junkie looking for easy pickings to get his next fix, but if anybody comes in to my home uninvited i have to presume they are there to harm my family and i will react accordingly. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

wow, what an unlucky burgalator!!!!  Experienced lag?? (aged 30+) with maybe 10-15 years experience in the job?, decides to break into the holiday home of some ex police top brass, all very believable, not..... upstanding public servants, etc etc, "We must trust what they say!!" [Mail reading masses in chorus]  How convenient MB is around to capture the details of the story!  ".......he must have seen the car leaving...."  Guffaws...are we supposed to think career criminals, capable of getting a safe off a wall, are idiots??  Don't think so.  Speak to any self respecting house breaker and they are generally very smart people, who every now and then get caught.  It's an occupational hazard.  Not your usual junkie f***wit.  Possible "crecheman" style build up?   He goes one way then another, we seek him here, we seek him there, now we don't seek him at all!  [Inserts tip of pinky in edge of mouth and pouts a la Dr Evil]
