Who is in the pushchair?
I was searching for info on a different subject when I came across this photo of the McCann's with a double buggy and THREE children. The older child sat in the pushchair is not Madeleine so who is it? Could this child have been used as a substitute? This article is dated 19th May 2007
Didn't know where to put this so started a new thread, hope it's ok.

How frustrating, the link appears not to work. Will try again. I have never seen this photo before.

No agreed that doesn't look like MBM.

Re: Who is in the pushchair?
Picture was taken in PDL.
The two girls in the push chair looks about similar age, age of as the twins, and one of them had on a nappy.
Very grainy photo, but would imagine she might be child of one of the Tapas Members.

Re: Who is in the pushchair?
IIRC some of the Tapas party stayed on with Kate and Gerry for a little while after May 3...I recall seeing Kate and Gerry and those others wandering around with their kids to give the journo's some photo ops. This is likely one of those opportunities. Later on K & G took great pains to wheel a double buggy around with the sunshade down so the kids couldn't be seen. This was obviously before those days of newly discovered privacy concerns.

Re: Who is in the pushchair?
That little girl I think is in the playground pic!! My daughter just pointed it out we were looking in debate section at the playground pic and it's the one of Maddie, Gerry baby sean and another Lil girl that wasn't Amalie! Hmmm I'm almost certain my daughter was right and it's the same little girl so obviously it was either a tapas child or a look alike but I feel like its something to do with a look alike but it's just my opinion....

I have tried to post this photo in another post but for some reason sometimes photos do not post for me. I'm attaching a link where the photo can be found. Scroll down the page to December 8 2010.

Yes it is completely covered, no sign of anything at all in there.
Off topic, but why do my photos keep doing that ?

It looked to me like it was the cover of the buggy opened ? It's more brown than blue on my screen

Re: Who is in the pushchair?
google images show 2 different pushchairs, one has 1 front wheel, other has 2.
You can get this new type of sunshade now which looks like a raincover but made from a fine mesh. Some are totally zipped up, so I wonder how baby stays cool even if the sun's rays are kept from burning.
I hope the children in these can see through the mesh, maybe there is a pocket which can be opened at eye level. Of course if a child can't see outside very well, onlookers can't see in, so I imagine the idea was as much about privacy.
The interesting thing is that we saw the Mcs arrive on 28th on CW, with a buggy, despite the book of truth saying otherwise.

Re: Who is in the pushchair?
I have found images of three buggies, they had a four wheeled red one also.
Usually, there are wet weather covers, clear plastic type, so the child can see out but is dry. Cold weather covers, heavy material, not transparent. All have vents which can be opened to provide air when child is fully enclosed. The hoods on the buggy then usually move in multiple directions so as to provide shade over the child's face if not using a cover.
I had that three wheel buggy in 2007 with those options. I never travelled with it. It is very heavy and cumbersome and still huge when folded down. The wheels come off when folded to fit it into the boot. I don't know of anybody that would travel by air and take that buggy, that's what light strollers are for, also available in twin version.
Not having a buggy was key to their reasoning for going to Tapas and not the Millenium. For them to be shown with one in CW must therefore be factually incorrect. Then so too was the happy family impression given by the programme.

That would be the Crimewatch Fantasy Productions Russiandoll.russiandoll wrote:google images show 2 different pushchairs, one has 1 front wheel, other has 2.

Two separate productions showing two different Tapas Bar scenes (UK version = round table, Rest of Europe version = oblong table) and two different apartment interiors (UK version = contemporary interior with white sofa, glass table, chrome etc, Rest of Europe version = pine furniture and a much more authentic look).
If SY can't show the actual Tapas Bar set-up and the actual interior of apartment 5a why would anything else be remotely plausible? i.e. the possession of a pushchair?

Kate isn't photographed pushing a pushchair (not even in the Crimewatch various productions). She has her hands full with Cuddlecat. Never miss a photo opportunity.canada12 wrote:Here's the pic?

Re: Who is in the pushchair?
But back to said topic the Lil girl with the mccanns.... Does anybody know why she's in the buggy.. Who is she andim certain she is the Lil girl from the playground pic. So I'm assuming the playground pic was taken around the beginning of the holiday... And the buggy pic was taken after the disappearance... She looks about 3 but closer to twins size. Could be a look alike be side the Maddie pic but the one with the eye defect that was posted worldwide... Imo when Maddie was younger

"Could be a look alike". (for Madeleine)
Maybe she is the child the Smith's saw 'look alike' GM 'carrying' towards the beach about 10pm, 3rd May 2007?

The cover was used on the buggy to hide the twins when the McCann's knew that the 'media' were not going to go away in a hurry. I just wondered if the photo was taken a few days after M going missing, before the McCann's realised that they would become the focus of attention.

Re: Who is in the pushchair?
Hicks I agree its lily payne.
The photo of Madeleine on a horse really looks very like her imo.
Those shades on the double buggy are bizarre looking, they remind me of covers you would get from a launderette or when purchasing good quality dresses, suits, shirts etc.

Yes, Lily could fit the description of that sleeping child as seen by the Smith family.
Very bizarre covers. My children-when toddlers- would have screamed the place down if I had covered them up like that.
