Kate and Gerry McCann are fearful about going to Lisbon for a libel trial because of more bizarre behaviour from Goncalo Amaral His lawyers choice to communicate via email or phone or not can hardly be labelled as "behaviour" of GA. A silly assertion. Also, it may be that he uses emails and phones all the time but has made the choice not to communicate with the McCanns in this way. It's his perogative.

The parents of missing Madeleine McCann fear yet more heartache when they arrive in Portugal tomorrow (Tuesday) for the often-adjourned case.
The last time they went to Lisbon the proceedings were postponed at the last minute when Amaral dismissed his lawyer inside the court, leaving Kate and Gerry fuming outside Nothing newsworthy about this pair fuming, seems to be their normal mindset. But they remain hopeful of winning the defamation case against Amaral over his claim in a banned book that Madeleine died in an accident Which is ridiculous since the latest SY developments are clearly based on Madeleine being deceased in 2007 and they subsequently hid the body Based on the transcripts from the court, the McCann witnesses said NOTHING AT ALL of any substance, even the Judge was too underwhelmed to allow Kates mother to speak.

Amaral's unorthodox tactics in his defence have not stopped, with Madeleine's family being told his new lawyer cannot be contacted because he doesn't use 'phone or email.' Given Gerry's starring role at the Leveson enquiry, he should be delighted that emails and phone calls are not made, there is no chance of hacking. And it is unnecessary to speak to Goncalo's lawyer as it is the closing of the case tomorrow. What on earth would Goncalo's lawyer wish to speak to them about?

Being unable to contact the other party hampers efforts to prepare for the case.Bit late to leave any "preparations" till the closing day, is it not?

Despite the risk of being stood up in court again, the McCanns do intend to travel to Lisbon for the hearing on Tuesday.

Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell added: "Kate and Gerry are planning to attend court on Tuesday as required by the judge.
"They believe they have a very strong case against Mr Amaral and they expect to win their claim."There is nothing that has been said throughout the whole duration of this case from the McCanns that gives even a hint of this being the case. Team McCanns efforts were embarrassing to say the very least. Mitchel is an arse.
The McCanns are suing Amaral for libel over his book 'The Truth of the Lie,' which is banned from publication in Britain because of its incendiary claim that Kate and Gerry know what happened to Madeleine.

According to the Portuguese Code of Criminal Procedure (article 255), any person may arrest someone in the act of committing a crime or fleeing from the crime scene if the crime they were committing is punishable with a prison term of any length. The arrested person must be handed over to the police immediately after it is possible to do so.

 It's not a fancy phone or a cool e-mail address that determines the competence of a lawyer.
