Lagos Marina seems to send people broody -
- another fellow with a boat and a desire for a child?
My thoughts only.

Strange, isn't it?
What is it with boats and couples who can't conceive?
Maybe the police need to investigate all these coxless pairs

Re: SOLVED
That article fails to acknowledge the cadaver evidence though. And i'm sure they wouldn't be kidnapping a dead child, or one that was seriously injured. And hasn't 7+ years been enough to investigate those people anyway, and knowing there was always the risk of someone recognizing Madeleine if they ever took her out in public. Talk about grasping at straws, desperation much!missbeetle wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

What possesses him to do it?
Can't just be cheap thrills?
Might it be the same people responsible for the dossier behind this?

Re: SOLVED
So LeicPol know who it was
McCanns know who it was
PJ know who it was
Grange know who it was
But no one is doing anything ? ?
Yeah. Right.
I believe it, of course.
They also appear to be conflating "Owned a boat in the Marina" with "was working on a boat in the Marina, and sleeping aboard"
And they have him living in Espiche, which was the other bloke who was in the pub at the time - see threads passim
Two blokes for the price of one.

Re: SOLVED
Well...it's not dissimilar to a full blown coloboma (in terms of marketing a good ploy - even though the 'abductor' could have damaged Madeleine's eye and the PJ advised not to publish such information) which then turned into a bit of a fleck which you could only see close up and no-one in the family paid much attention to it anyway.PeterMac wrote:So LeicPol know who it was

Re: SOLVED
It was never followed up because it's a load of rubbish.
All the evidence, statements and forensics point to a completely different set of events. Not a childless couple snatching a child, but a scenario in the apartment, where (intentionally or by accident) Madeleine died, the scene was cleaned and the body was disposed of (leaving cadaver scent). Its the only plausible scenario.
Whether this be one of a handful of known paedos in the area at the time, or someone closer to the family is yet to be clarified.
Unfortunately, SY are only working on the lone paedo scenario

Exactly, they are witnesses and not known paedophiles, hence not arguidos.
They are being questioned about what they have seen/who they have seen.

Re: SOLVED
Question for P Mac:
Would DCI Wall be 'expected' to have DCI Mahog's 'numbers' 2, 3, 4 'officers' still in 'situ' at OG, when she takes 'charge'?
I don't know why a 'new broom' would be expected to work with 3 1/2 years old possibly 'worn out, old bristles'.
She would have asked for her 'own' 2, 3, and 4 wouldn't she?
Can't see her 'working' with 37 people that have 'possibly' been 'indoctrinated', over 3 1/2 YEARS, to believe/follow ONLY 'a lone paedo, a 'stranger' crime, 'abduction' scenario', when, obviously, there ARE 'other' explanations as to 'how' Madeleine 'is not here'
Does anyone know if DCI Mahog's 'nearest and dearset' at Grange, have/will also be 'left/leaving' OG, when DCI Wall 'takes over', the 'extraordinary privilege', (DCI Andy Redwood) of investigating the 'mysterious 'disappearance' of a three years old child, abroad' on Monday 22nd December, 2014?
Perhaps 'they', 'Hoggy's' 2, 3, 4, were among the 'six' that 'left' recently?
Any 'thoughts' P Mac?

Re: SOLVED
Just assuming for a minute that the brother/couple/boat in missbeetle's post are one and the same as mapleleaf / his brother and partner / the catamaran, (I can't believe there were multiple fitting the description in Lagos at that time), then it would be interesting whether the name tallied with details in the email and call to Tony.
The surname had the right number of letters but ES's surname looks to be either of Portuguese or Brazilian descent.

Also searching for ES's full name in quotes results in Google's "Some results may have been removed under data protection law in Europe."

I think the boats and water stories, that seem to be coming from the McCanns' side, is actually to deflect from the land. It's a classic Freudian slip to me that shows the sea isn't involved at all with her disappearance. Or a boat theory if people think that the father used one at all. Also the car mileage and scent in there points to being transported if we take it as her body was in the car, and if they did take the time to put her somewhere else, then going by their Catholic faith, I come from a Catholic family myself, then it's most likely on religious land she's been buried. Either way, their co-operation shows with these stories show boats weren't used.

First girl on the scene did NOT see the shutters broken, shattered, forced, or open.
She did see them in perfect condition and closed.
A negative statement can be as powerful as a positive one.
"The curious incident of the dog in the night-time"
"But the dog did nothing in the night-time"
"That was the curious incident."
"How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible,
whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth ?"
Re: SOLVED
To start with she will merely slide into the desk in the office, same extension number, same address. 020 7730 1212 (Whitehall 1212), and then the extension, which I have redacted.jeanmonroe wrote:

She will be brought up to speed firstly by Redwood, and then gradually by each of the three
She will review the Policy Document, very probably with her immediate Senior Det Supt. Gradually, however, she might consider swapping one or more to another role within the same command,
Dolphin Square for example.
It is probable that some from within the team have moved on and or retired during the three and a half years anyway.

Clarence thinks : Damn those McCanns. Go out and cadge more money from the gullible public to help towards my wages, they said. Here, put this disguise on, no one will ever know it's you, they said.
Some old dear just dropped a penny in the box and said Hello Clarence. You look like Les Dennis doing a pathetic take on Lieutenant Columbo ... and you look like a right tw** in that hat.
