That seems odd. No GPR of the area just the sniffer dogs and an 'object' found.

   Is it possible that they were only looking for this particular object on that site?

  That's what i thought. I wish Martin Geissler would give us a bit of a clue, was it a round object, small, large, fabric, blue or pink? etc!

Yes very strange - looking at Google aerial view and streetview there is masses of land and derelict looking buildings to search.  To cover one of those areas in a morning compared to a week on the snail seems odd.

Very odd. If the object was important enough to take away why not look at the possible context and area....unless they allready know how the object got there and why.
