Surely it doesn't matter who Mr Gunnill is or isn't and whether he admitted being Mr Gunnill when he purchased the book or whether he was disguised as Mickey Mouse. The bottom line is that Mr Bennett accepted the terms put before him by Carter Ruck and then went and showed them his bottom by selling a book that he promised he would not sell.

I guess I weigh up both actions and compare.
You agreed to not sell the booklet and correct me if wrong.....you also agreed to make your best endevours to try and remove as many copies in the public domain as possible. This was agreed with the courts.....No?

So, you have broken the terms of a contract. Yourself having being a solicitor (or was it trainee, Im never sure, sorry) should show a greater respect for our courts and legal system. You more than anyone else should realise the consequences of this action.

The way the leaflet was procured was not ideal. The way you have thrown caution to the wind and broken a contract is worrying to say the least.

We are talking here about your family home being at stake and if I am totally honest I feel sorry for your wife and family. The risk of losing their home must be incredibly worrying for them.

Mr Bennett, can I ask what on earth you thought it would yield, other than another letter from CR? If you thought someone was trying to trap you in to selling a book which you had agreed not to sell....surely the most logical course of action is to ignore their emails.

Do you maintain that this was the only copy of the book that was sold after your agreement with CR or were other copies sent out to genuine customers, or to those that you thought you could garner further information from?

I think his gripe is with Steve Marsden. Not sure why he's stalking TB. Not sure why he would want to stop the MF from seeking the truth about Madeleine. As a photojournalist he should be investigating Madeleine's case not trying to bring down those who do speak up. imo.
