Marconi, the programme is normally on once a month in the U K.

The next one on 14th October is not exclusively about the McCann case.

That link leads to a page which clearly says "abducted".

Doesn't fill me with hope.

"In a world exclusive, Scotland Yard detectives reveal their latest findings in the search for Madeleine McCann. The then three-year-old was abducted from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal in May 2007.

Crimewatch, for the first time, reconstructs what the new British investigation tells us about that night, and Kirsty Young speaks to Kate and Gerry McCann about their renewed hopes of finding their daughter.

With unprecedented access to the Metropolitan Police investigation, Crimewatch hears from the lead officers who believe the crucial new leads could help finally uncover the truth of who took Madeleine.

Also featuring crimes caught on camera in Martin Bayfield's CCTV round-up and a new collection of wanted faces.
Plus, all the latest news on arrests and convictions on previous cases resulting from your calls."

Edited to add: There's no way I can bring myself to watch this.

Will we see Cuddle Cat this time?

Will Kate be wearing her hair ribbons in green and yellow?

will Deadwood be wearing his good quality wristband and his findMadeleine tin badge in his lapel?

Or maybe even a good quality findMadeleine 'T' shirt with obligatory maccann private fund number dislayed promiently!

Will Deadwood be 'Deadpan'?

It's PR folks, nothing more, nothing less. I will not be wasting my time watching it. And then when  Crimewatch has finished you will get the updates and guess what, there will be hundreds, thousands of calls, an update from the Met, promising leads, new information etc etc etc. Expect this PR firestorm to hog the news for many days - until Mitchell decides to dampen things down. Meanwhile back in the real world, we have some important witnesses for Goncalo Amaral.

Madeleine McCann investigation police vet every phone call made from resort

DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann raised hopes of a breakthrough yesterday after revealing a major new line of inquiry.

[snipped]

“Everything is designed to bring us to that core moment when she disappeared. We hope to speak to everyone who was in Praia da Luz at the time.

“The majority will be entirely uninvolved in what happened but some will be witnesses and others may be suspects. This is not just a general trawl. This is a targeted attack on the mobile phone database. It has not happened before.”

YOU too can do this!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03dz7yj
https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006ppmq/contact

In a world exclusive, Scotland Yard detectives reveal their latest findings in the search for Madeleine McCann. The then three-year-old was abducted from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal in May 2007....

This is mine.

You state (copy) on your webpage about the upcoming Crimewatch programme, 14 Oct 2013, that Madeleine McCann 'was abducted' from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal in May 2007....

Please could you confirm this as a proven fact, and is categorically factually true.

Could you please confirm that you have passed all your evidence that you have that she 'was abducted' to the SY investigation team. Operation Grange?

I wouldn't like the BBC to broadcast anything that they knowingly know is factually 'incorrect' before broadcasting.

Thankyou.

It is going to be a very short programme.

They have EXACTLY ONE MINUTE AND 20 SECOND to do the reconstruction.
(That is the McCanns' own timings - not ours - Kevin)

If their version takes any longer than that - it is false - and either Gerry's statement or Tanner's statements will be shown to contain lies.
And since it is the BBC it has a duty to report honestly and impartially.

Thank Jeanm
Have just sent this
MADELEINE MCCANN RECONSTRUCTION 14 Oct.
If the man seen by Jane Tanner was the “abductor’ and was carrying Madeleine, as the McCanns insist, he had available to him the time from Gerry McCann’s leaving the apartment to the sighting by Jane Tanner.  And no more.

In this time the intruder has to

• Enter the apartment
• Sedate all three children - in the dark
• Select Madeleine as the victim - in the dark
• Open the shutters and window   - if he used the front door to enter
• Pick Madeleine out of her bed   - in the dark
• Turn her round so that her head is now to his left, rather than to his right, which is the way he would have approached her in the bed.
• Exit the apartment, either through the opened window and shutters, or through the front door, which he must then close silently behind him.
• Walk to the left along the path in front of the apartment, walk straight ahead across the car park, and then walk to the right along the road, and cross the street in front of Jane Tanner, the father of the very child he had just abducted, and another man who has his own child in a buggy.

Taking into account the travelling time, he has around ONE MINUTE AND TWENTY SECONDS in which to achieve the first seven items on the list.

I trust that your "reconstruction" will be accurate in relation to the above facts.
Yours sincerely

Well, as with all Crimewatch appeals the public are asked to call in with information. If the details presented in the programme don't match the information in the witness statements, those of us who know the facts should call in. The McCanns and SY shouldn't be allowed to get away with misinformation/misrepresentation. If witnesses have since changed their statements, the programme should make this clear.

If the reconstruction is markedly different from the Emma Loach one, will she (Loach) publicly admit to being had by the couple given that she's just appeared as a witness for them in their libel trial?

With regards to Jeremy Wilkins, under oath and threat of prosecution if he has willfully stated anything he knows to be false or does not believe to be true.saying about himself  'crossing the street' and giving precise location details, to speak with Mr McCann, outside the gateway to apartment 5A and NOT as Mr McCann claims that it was HE that 'crossed the street' to speak with Mr Wilkins.
Thankyou.

Just sent in complaint....

In your information for Crimewatch (14th Oct) you describe Madeleine McCann as having been "abducted". This cannot be considered as correct unless you have information the police should know about.

Please be aware that when you do the promised "reconstruction" that you will need to make a meaningful and reality-based reconstruction which is based on ALL the contradicting statements and evidence of the McCanns and their group of friends.
If you do not do this - if you neglect details to make something fit/work, if you use only SOME statements and avoid others - then you will be wasting taxpayers money as far as the new police investigations are concerned, and you will also be in breach of your charter regarding proper, honest and impartial reporting. You will by definition also be obstructing the police investigation by way of deliberately causing confusion and not representing the full account of the evening as given in official statements by the witnesses.

I and many others have long been concerned by press & TV reporting of the McCann case and will be watching very closely as a result.

Hi, this is my first post.  I have been following this forum for a very long time and I think it is fantastic what you are doing to get to the truth of what really happened to Madeleine.  The transcripts of this libel trial is the Mccanns and their supporters'  biggest and major problem imo.  All this nonsense in yesterday's and today's news is typical of their MO.  Look over here, not there!  They don't want the British public to know the conclusion of the investigation which the judge has mentioned now on a number of occasions nor do they want anything else getting out there , which it will when Goncalo Amaral and his witnesses get their turn on the stand.  The coming weeks are going to be very interesting imo.  Well done to the lady who has been in court and is obviously putting a lot of hard work into getting the translations done and the information out there.

Well said Petermac, I hope you have sent it off.

I think the Crimwatch program may however give us a definitive idea of where the SY investigation is going.  If Gerry crosses the road to speak to Jez, he's still in charge.

Other than keep telling people what the T9 have actually said, as TRUE.

Well said gbwales, can we dare hope you will get a reply ?

I'm not to worried if i get a reply or not.

The BBC will NEVER, EVER be able to say 'they didn't know' or that 'nobody told them this or that' BEFORE broadcasting their programme!
All 'recorded' from my end.

I would implore ANYONE to send them what might be 'useful' information so that they can, even at this late hour, produce an impartial programme.

I wrote a detailed letter to OFCOM complaining about the CH 4 documentary after it was shown. The reply from OFCOM could have been written by Mitchell it was that biased. After that episode, I decided OFCOM were a waste of space!

It was a BBC reporter, lest we forget, who started the fallacy that Amaral swore at the McCanns. This inaccuracy was then repeated nationally and the BBC didn't correct it for some time.
