NAJOVA CHEKAYA casts doubt over TABLE for NINE

Post  Get 'em Gonçalo on Sat Apr 03, 2010 10:04 pm

By IRONSIDE

Mathew Oldfield said April 28th 'We dined at the Millennium because THE TAPAS was CLOSED.

All the other days they ALWAYS ate at the Tapas. From Sunday, April 29th to Thurday, May 3rd. That makes 5 days, 5 dinners, at Tapas.

Lunch said Mathew, would be eaten in a group, this included the children, Payne’s apartment commonly used, due to its larger size. Mathew also explained the first booking made for dinner at the Tapas, which was for Sunday night, was made by O'Brian, but he is not sure.

Matt clarifies, Monday morning his wife Rachael, undertook such reservations, adding still that it would have been for all the remaining days except for Friday 4th May, as a Tennis Club dinner for that night had been planned.

Jane Tanner also confirms the booking was permanent for 20h30...until the end of the stay.

And yet here we have Dr.Gerald Mccann in this interview 'Why did you not come when we were crying' saying 'WE DID NOT even know if we could get into the Tapas on May 3rd.

The holiday was going well; a group of doctors had planned an active vacation and enjoyed watersports, tennis, jogging etc. However, by evening it seems that ALWAYS someone from the group had a bout of sickness. Fiona in her statement, said someone, EVERY night was sick.

Gerry McCann said that Sunday lunch was spent in the PAYNE apartment. The whole group were there, except for MATHEW, who was ill.

MATT also did not attend dinner on Sunday, Rachael however, was present.

Dianne Webster said there was no need for the Paynes to check on their children as they had a BABY MONITOR.

However Dr. Gerald McCann says that he THINKS that on Wed. May 2nd Dr. David Payne checked on the McCann children. It is odd that this generosity was only extended to the McCann children as we have already been told the PAYNES did not need to check their own.

Yes, it could be justified that out of all the kindness of his heart, Dr. Payne was checking upon those less fortunate to have technology available to them. But what about Tanner’s children? Were they children of a lesser god?

Monday and Tuesday evening seemed to have caused some confusion. Dr. McCann does not remember which of these days Madeleine had slept for sometime in his room, with Kate, who had told him one or both of the twins were crying.

Russel and Tanner also suffer from a bout of amnesia about these dates. Russell said in his statement “I remember the night well as it is the ONLY night we were together”. But then Russel does admit defeat because he and Jane are unsure if this was Monday or Tuesday evening they were all together. But it seems clear that irrelevant which night it was, ONLY one night they were together. At the place pre-booked for all for the whole week. Except Friday. Lest we forget. Apparently they did.

After a time of not remembering the night HE HAD remembered so well, the Officer said well shall we just put Monday or Tuesday?...Russel agreed this (to put the two) WOULD be best.

Miss Najova Chekaya. Quizz mistress also seemed to have a memory problem about Tuesday, May 21st.

Remember this was the night Mrs Fenn heard a child screaming for more than one hour 'Daddy,Daddy'...

The lovely BUXOM Najova says she worked in the Tapas two nights a week (Sunday and Tuesday). Although Najova has a better memory than the doctors , it was not until pressed that she admitted it was Dr.Mccann who invited her to sit with the table of NINE guests. Yes, NINE, not eight, not ten but NINE. Reveals quite an attentive mind to detail for an invitee that approaches a group of people that she doesn’t know from anywhere else before.

Miss Chekaya sat with the group for about TWENTY minutes enjoying a drink. However, she does not know whether Madeleines mother Kate was there.
Unless there were other unknown characters present, clearly then maybe NOT a table with nine present.

Najova said she sat at the table about 9.30... No one left the table while she was there including Madeleine’s father. She did notice an empty chair of someone who had had dinner and left. This is an assumption on Najova’s part, nothing more, for she could not know this as fact.

Kate’s witness statement is clear for the night Tues May 1st...She and Gerry checked the children twice each: 9.00 pm... 9.30 pm... 10.00 pm.. and 10.30 pm...

Najova was shown photographs of the group and Miss Chekaya is unsure if David Payne was present or not...leading once again to justified doubts of a table of NINE.

Wednesday May 2nd, Rachael Oldfield was feeling unwell and stayed in her apartment all night. Her husband Matt was at the restaurant. Wednesday 2nd May...amnesia seems to have cleared as they all remember staying late for a drink at the bar. They did not return to their apartments until close to midnight.

I can only put this strange behaviour of the night Tues May 1st down to Miss NAJOVA CHEKAYA and her wonderful assets... for whatever else could cause such a break down in memory that they do not recall, especially the men, this stunning young lady sitting at their table?

This stunning young lady who, in turn, remembers so well being invited by GERRY MCCANN to a table of NINE GUESTS?

Unquestionable memory on her part, or questionable amnesia from everyone else?

And if it’s this AMNESIA, then what, WHERE and who else wasn’t remembered? And WHY?

According to press reports at the time, Ms Chekaya was present at the table on the night Madeleine disappeared. Later she decided it had been another night.

Amnesia or what ?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-475687/McCanns-friends-suspects-discrepancies-police-statements.html

An aerobics instructor claimed she spent 30 minutes at the table and saw no one check the children.

Najoua Chekaya was chatting with Gerry and Kate McCann and their friends when Madeleine, then three, vanished from the family's Algarve apartment in Praia da Luz.

That night, Ms Chekaya had organised a bar quiz at the Ocean Club resort where the McCanns were staying. Her evidence is understood to corroborate the McCanns' movements in the hour before the disappearance was discovered.

Ms Chekaya, 21, from Flitwick, Beds, is still working in Praia da Luz for Ocean Club operator Mark Warner. But she wrote to one friend on social networking site Facebook: "Missin you guys loads. dun with portugal now, wana cum home n have fun in flitwick!! neva thought id say that!!"

Portuguese laws make it an offence for witnesses in a criminal inquiry to discuss their evidence, but it is understood Ms Chekaya was invited by Mr McCann to join his table when the quiz finished at 9.30pm.

What happened between 9pm and 10pm is likely to hold the key to Madeleine's fate.

wonder if Chekaya's attributes go some way in explaining Katy's insecurities and Ma Healy's 'bigger bossom' gaffe.

Could be. Have her assets been enhanced into golden globes in that second pic?

I thought the spat between Kate and Gerry, when Kate spent the night in the childrens bedroom, was due to Ms Chekaya. That fitted in with the real Quiz Night.

In the book the spat is due to Gerry's ungracious behaviour when he leaves the table abruptly, leaving kate there.

I too thought the spat was due to Gerry paying attention to Ms Chekaya - but did Kate ever say that in an interview or was it the opinion of a journalist?

Absent Diners

Post  Jauna Loca on Tue Jul 12, 2011 3:17 pm

Hi Folks,
This is my first post re the case. Really impressed with all the information here and can't see how the Mackers have a leg to stand on with their abduction theory in the face of such.
Think that the night of the 1st/2nd is highly significant, as to me it's the night when M met her end. Each night on guest was "sick" ie, the designated baby sitter. Paulo Rebalais was right:
the kids were put into one room and one adult was absent from dinner. This was Kate's night to sit hence her absence from dinner. It would also fit with the rearranging of furniture witnessed
by the cleaner (preparing for an influx of other kids that night) and the "musical bed" scenario in the statements where Ma and Da Macker variously describe the twins as being put to bed
"in their cots" but then watching them "lying on a bed" and the shock of a child "being stolen out of your bed". Phone records also place Mrs Macker in the appartment that night.
It is highly suggestive that a wee girl cried for over an hour FOR HER FATHER, specifically, rather that for eithe parent if she had awoken alone. It's doubley disturbing if you factor
in the possibility that Ma was already there. It makes you wonder what she had suffered at the hands of one to cry so intentsely and persistently for the other.

9.00pm approx quiz and once finished Najoua Chekaya ws invited to the table of nine guests

She was at their table for about fifteen to twenty minutes and it was there that she met Madeleine’s father, who directly invited her to the table, however, she does not know whether Madeleine’s mother was also there

They talked of banalities and she did not notice any aspect or behaviour that was out of the ordinary. When questioned, she said that during the time that she was there Madeleine’s father did not leave the table, neither did any of the other guests, however, during this time one of the chairs was always empty, that of someone who had had dinner and left, not managing to indicate any identifying element about this person. When questioned, she said she was at the table from about 21.30 to 21.50

Witness statement: Najoua Chekaya
Date: 20 June 2007
--- In accordance with the statements made by her in this case, on 9 May 2007, she confirms it having been on the Tuesday, 1 May 2007, that she was invited to the table of the group of which the McCann couple were part, by Gerry himself.
--- That she recalls there being an empty place [seat] at the table, not being certain if it had been Madeleine\'s mother\'s place given that she is not sure if they had met each other there at that time.
--- The photographs of the group of the McCann\'s friends having been shown to her, the deponent declares that from those photos seen she has some reservations about David Payne [in that] while she thinks he was also there, she had not noted his presence.
--- The question asked she declares not being certain who was missing from the group.

Did gerry mccann purposely invite Najoua Chekaya to their table because he knew at that time he would need an independent witness for later that they were at the Tapas Bar and all seemed normal and fine?
