Well this is new, a couple entering, errm was it through the locked door or the unlocked sliding door, did they cover her and tuck her in and ensure she had the cuddle cat and comfort blanket? Did they also soothe Sean as he was crying too. Oh and what night was it this mystery couple did their good samaritan act and why did Kate and Gerry never comment on this before. They seem adept at picking up the angles of the doors so did they not notice someone has been into the apartment.

As far as I know Maddie never mentioned anything about strangers comforting her. She asked them where they were when she and Sean was crying....

Point is yes, she cried 2 nights in a row (it seems) and they still left them alone on the 3rd

I find this rather clever of the Express. The McCanns have never mentioned that Madeleine told them a nice lady and man came to hug her when she was crying, and by gum they have told us all sorts of other stuff, down to tea stains and milk and biscuits. So you would think this mega news would have been imparted to us from the get go.

Thanks for the link Plebgate. I don't think this is the main Express story though as it mentions nothing about the couple who allegedly soothed Maddie when she allegedly cried. It does contain this bit however:

A Yard spokesman stressed last night that the Met was not urging the Portuguese to arrest any suspect.

He said: “Our investigative review is ongoing and we are encouraged by the progress we are making.

“We are reviewing a significant number of documents and continue to identify potential lines of inquiry.

“We can confirm that as part of this process we have identified a number of persons of interest, but any suggestion that the Met is asking the Portuguese police to make arrests in connection with this inquiry is entirely inaccurate.

“We are in regular contact with Kate and Gerry McCann and they are kept fully updated on the progress of our work. We also continue to work closely with the Portuguese police and are actively considering our next steps.”

Well, none of the T9/10 or the McCann/Healy clan can say they weren't warned about police activity.
If they do not co-operate, if asked, then they will have knowingly involved themselves in a conspiracy.
If the mccanns are possibly found to be involved in the demise of their daughter, the entire family should be charged as accomplices.(An associate in wrongdoing, especially one who aids or abets another in a criminal act, either as a principal or an accessory.)
They would have known but did nothing from day 1.

Very convenient the suspects being cleaners.

Is this going to be used as the reason why the abductor managed to get in and out of the room without leaving a trace?

We all know how it was done now, whilst one committed the crime they had a team of professional cleaners making sure not a shred of forensic evidence was left behind. Then in true UK gangster style they escaped in a Ford Transit.

Well thats a few unanswered questions covered, whats next they returned and planted evidence in a hire car to keep the PJ off the scent?

This sounds more like something Miss Marple would write.

Wasn't that because the info of the mobiles was refused by the owners (ie Tapa 9) , carriers backed by a Portuguese judge?? So I guess SY knows how to get that info anyway, after all ain't Britain phone hack paradise?
