If SY are playing the clever waiting game. Why on earth would they let KM do this broadcast? Surely, KM being already connected to their own find Madeleine campaign -which if they're complicit in her disappearance in any possible way - is fraudulent. To now be spear-heading a high profile campaign for a charity (broadcast once again via the BeeB) again asking for money using the story of her missing child to once again pull in funds.....? Surely the powers that be in SY could have persuaded her in some way not to take part....Or have approached the charity behind the scenes.
For me, this again gives me no confidence in the SY investigation and just increases my opinion that this is looking like a major media manipulated cover-up.

The BBC, not content to fall through a Jimmy Savile-shaped hole, are busy fashioning a McCann-shaped hole.
Hopefully they will free-fall their way through it to the fifth circle of hell, where they will at last hit their target audience.

I would like to see her on the sofa next to this guy. The BBC at the highest possible level authorised, months in advance, the production of a 'McCann Crimewatch Special', which cost a reputed £1 million to makee, on Monday 14 October.
Less than 3 weeks later, and again with a great deal of advance planning by the BBC - in conjunction with Missing People and the McCanns - the BBC ran this charity appeal today, fronted by Dr Kate McCann.
These are two solid indications that at the highest level the BBC believes wholeheartedly, 100% and absolutely that the McCanns and their friendrs are telling the God's honest truth about what happened to Madeleine McCann in Praia da Luz.
It follows, as night follows day, that anyone who questions that account will automatically be rubbished by the BBC.
Should Amaral win his libel trial, the BBC will therefore quietly try to bury the news.
This happens to be the same organisation that successfully protected and supported Jimmy Savile's paedophile ring for five decades.

Dr Martin Roberts: "The evidence is that these are the pjyamas Madeleine wore on holiday in Praia da Luz. They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

Exactly - and is the reason why whenever we hear stories of breakthroughs/new suspects etc - I never get too excited. Mainly because I feel too many connected/high up establishment types - call them what you will, have far too much to lose - and will do everything they can to protect the McCanns and stop/put a spin on any negative press about them. For what reason you might ask - I think most of us have an idea what it might be connected to. Which is why I don't think there will be any major breakthrough as a result of SY's Investigation. I just can't see it happening, though I hope I'm wrong.Tony Bennett wrote:Let there be absolutely no mistake about this.mouse wrote:If SY are playing the clever waiting game. I live only in hope that Goncalo Amaral will at least make one small dent in their armour and win his case - something I believe they can't stop....And who knows, perhaps this will start to gradually chip away at their massive tangled web of (imo) deceit and finally - and I believe it will be some time to go yet - bring justice for poor little Madeleine. I still have a little hope in the PJ....
The BBC has so many questions to answer on this, but as always they seem so defensive/dismissive and unaccountable to the public - the very people who pay for their existence. And where JS is concerned - I've noticed lately that whenever someone new is arrested - the police always seem to stress immediately after, that it is not connected to the JS Investigation, but to 'others' again. Like they are ensuring that there are no links to anyone actually being charged who is connected in some way to the BBC......Again, too many people connected with big establishments such as the Beeb, too many chums of his in the Police...., and other places of course.

I've sometimes wondered this about the BBC. In the Panorama programme last year they performed the usual McCann script but when they publicised the details of the dogs Eddie and Keela they were all but referred to as DNA dogs. Not Cadaver and Human Blood scent specialist indicators. Somebody made the decision not to include that vital piece of information, somebody very senior no doubt.Tony Bennett wrote:Let there be absolutely no mistake about this.mouse wrote:If SY are playing the clever waiting game. DCI Andy Redwood and the BBC Crime Watch reconstruction have butchered the facts in order to put the McCanns in a good light. It's truly shocking that the British media consistently leave out vital information that casts grave doubts on the McCanns version of events.Woburn_exile wrote:I've sometimes wondered this about the BBC. The fact they edit it, or cut it out shows both BBC and Andy know very well that that info points to the parents, and the parents alone. Their "bending" the truth is the strongest statement yet as to the parents involvement.
It also show we have nothing to expect from them, nothing good at least.

From the Beeb...
Dear Mr ~~~~~
Reference (removed)
Thank you for contacting the BBC about the Radio 4 Appeal which featured Kate McCann’s appeal on behalf of the Missing People charity.
The charities featured on the Radio 4 Appeal choose their own presenters. The BBC would only refuse to accept a presenter in circumstances where we anticipated the person concerned would be likely to cause widespread offence to listeners or was deemed to be a highly inappropriate champion of a specific charity, or both.
Notwithstanding the article you mention, in this case, we saw no grounds for such an intervention and we remain of that view.
Nevertheless, please be assured that I’ve registered your comments regarding this issue to our audience log. This is a daily report of audience feedback made available throughout the BBC, including to programme producers, as well as members of senior management.
The audience logs help to shape future decisions regarding BBC programming and output.
Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.
Kind Regards

In due course they - and Missing People - will I am sure look pretty crass for their poor judgment on this.

On the other hand, appearances such as this could be construed as evidence supporting a continued fraud, if SY is investigating crimes the McCanns may have committed on UK soil... no?

Also from the beeb today my reply to my complaint:
Thank you for contacting us regarding BBC One’s ‘The Andrew Marr Show’ as broadcast on 27 October.
We understand you're unhappy as you felt developments in the case of Madeleine McCann's disappearance should’ve been discussed during the newspaper review.
The newspaper review is a short segment in the programme that is designed to give an overview of the headlines on front pages of newspapers for that day and guests are invited to give their opinion on those headlines. Due to time constraints, it is not always possible to discuss every headline and ultimately guests are there to offer a brief opinion on topical issues. Nevertheless, we appreciate the feedback that our viewers give us when they feel a story has been overlooked or marginalised.
We hope you will appreciate the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and subsequent developments have been extensively covered on BBC News as well as on a recent edition of ‘Crimewatch’.
We really appreciate how strongly you feel about this issue and would like to take this opportunity to assure you that your concerns have been registered on the audience log. This is a report of audience feedback that we compile on a daily basis. This is made available to staff across the BBC, including producers, editors and senior BBC management.
We hope this helps address your concerns.
Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.

Good work gbwales and dantezeba, for getting your complaints logged!
@gbwales An arrogant, snotty response, full of loathing for those of us that are paying their salaries
@dantezeba They've "extensively covered" the Mitchell driven McCann stories, but as soon as a story exposes the doctors McCann as conniving liars, the BBC suddenly develop 'McCann overload.'
The BBC are not worthy of the license fee, and I would vote for any party that promised to abolish it.
