I am shamelessly copying this from another site, in case it gets whooshed there too.
It is self explanatory
http://www.scribd.com/doc/99867333/Missing-People-Facebook-Deletions
The following comments were copied from the Missing People Facebook page on 10 July
2012, in response to this post:
"Missing People names Kate McCann as its new charity ambassador today, during the
launch of a fantastic media partnership http://bit.ly/MhTrkZ Kate McCann to launch
nationwide campaign to find missing people"
The majority of the comments were removed. This list shows which comments were
deleted (as of 11 July 2012) and which comments were allowed to remain. Later, on 11
July 2012, ALL comments were deleted other than the 10 shown at the very bottom of this

Anna Silvestro I think it's a serious error of judgment to enlist someone as an ambassador,
who has never been formally cleared of involvement in her own child's disappearance: the
case was shelved and as part of that process, Kate McCann's arguida status was lifted. That
doesn't mean she was cleared.    · 20
(COMMENT DELETED)
Anna Silvestro Missing People has enlisted someone as an ambassador for missing people,
who by her own admission, left three small children alone, in an unlocked apartment in a
foreign country and thought that checking every 30 minutes was adequate. Does this mean
that MP will support other parents who leave their children to go out for dinner? I hope not.

Denise Danks Instead of blaming Kate McCann, who has paid the highest price for an error
of judgement and has done so much to raise the profile of missing children in Europe and
improve alert systems, she should be praised for her courage. Check your facts. The media
coverage has been proven to be inaccurate. There was a paedophile scare in the area that
the McCanns and tourists were unaware of. The police investigation was incompetent. The
legal system inadequate, as it was at the time of the abduction in 1998 of the Portuguese
boy, Rui Pedro. ( As a result of the Wonderland case, pictures were discovered of him
working in the sex industry but he has never been found.) Ordinary Portuguese families
have suffered. Portugal is a known centre for child trafficking and a recent paedophile case
involving the state orphanage shows the level of toleration of child abuse and corruption
went right to the top of Portuguese society.    · 2
(COMMENT REMAINED)
Sam Wong You NEED TO REMEMBER that as a CHARITY you depend largely on
donations from the general public for you very survival. In adopting a strategy of deleting
comments that challenge your appointing of Kate McCann as MP's ambassador you risk
alienating the very people who, hitherto, have endorsed and helped fund your very
existence as a charity. Fostering an autocratic stance on any theme or action is never wise.
Accordingly, supressing the voices of many who've always supported the aims/objectives
of your cause is plain idiotic.    · 22

Debbie Carden Wray We can debate about what happened to Madeleine till the cows come

Madeleine would still be here. Using a proven neglectful parent to spearhead your
campaign is a kick in the teeth for other parents whose children are missing.    ·

Daniel English Another thing, Is Kate donating to Missing people ? Surely there is a
surplus in the fund as there is now a full Scotland Yard review and a review in Portugal

fortunate enough to have been given, why is the Mccann case so much more special?    ·

Gary Wyatt imagine how much money could have been raised for missing children if kate
mccann didnt waste millions of pounds in the company (not charity) fund she helps run.
only 13% of the money donated by the public went on searching for madeleine. wheres the
other money gone? now your charity has kate right there in the public eye. will she advise
you only spend 13% of donations on searching.? i will be warning people off donating all
the time kate is involved with your charity.    · 15
(COMMENT DELETED)
Paula Jones I expect my comment not to be deleted because I contribute to your charity.
Outside of any thoughts on the McCann case, Kate and Gerry McCann put their children in
the creche every day and left them alone every night. That's not a family holiday. Therefore
if Madeleine really was "abducted" the McCanns allowed that situation to happen by their
lack of care. How can you appoint Kate McCann as an ambassador? Your image is now a
joke and I am thoroughly disgusted.    · 20
(COMMENT DELETED)
Barry Smith The charity will not have any money now as people are putting on all sites,
that they will not give anymore money until the McCann woman goes. Oh and on top of
that, people are looking at a online petitions to get her removed. Well done you have shot
yourselfs in the foot.    · 17
(COMMENT DELETED)
Clive McIlwaine I wonder if hiring a high - profile candidate will backfire on your
organistion. If Madeleine McCann went missing it was in very dubious circumstances and
reflects nothing but neglect by Kate McCann and her husband. In addition she has never
been cleared as a suspect in her daughters' disappearance. Neither has her husband. I
know , like myself, many of my friends are both bemused and disgusted by this
appointment.    · 15

Liz Newman The people who are going to suffer here are the genuine missing people and
their parents and family. Kate McCanns appointment will wipe many pounds out of your
appeals. I will not put my name or donate to anything that has the name McCann on it.
They were very luck to get away with neglect charges, and if the case is ever reopened then
the McCanns will become Arguido's "suspects" again, what will Missing People do then?
A terrible terrible move and I think you will end up regretting it.    · 10

Barry Smith Liz i totally agree. The CEO of missing person has to consider his position
after this. No one will give money now, so the charity is dead in the water.    · 8

Justine Bentley Why would you do this to your charity? People are in prison for child
neglect. This is not about where Madeleine is, it's about child abouse that DID happen.

Liz Newman I am so confused to the Missing Persons reply there. Can they tell me of ONE
person who has a missing child and has never physically searched for them? Except the
McCanns. JUST ONE? And yet they say she is a good Ambassador for the cause. I think
they should check what an "Ambassador" is! One thing for certain, Kate McCanns is NOT
one!    · 7
(COMMENT DELETED)
Missing People Today Kate McCann launched a new initiative to find more missing
people, for which we are very grateful. We offer non-judgemental support for all those who
are missing and their families. We will never enter into unhelpful speculation. We trust our
partners in the Police service and always co-operate with their instructions about appeals
and support for families.

(COMMENT REMAINED)
Dawn Spencer disgusting!! she an her husband should be charged with child neglect they
left 3 babies on their own! Madeleine wouldn't be missing if they'd looked afta their
children can't stand 2 watch Kate she makes my blood boil ..... get rid of her as ambassador
or youl have no support of decent people    · 8
(COMMENT DELETED)
Polly Brown ?@Debbie Carden Wray, I think you will find this is a mutual scratching of
backs situation. The mccanns have been aligning themselves with any organisation that can
repair their reputation as parents and the organisation are happy to trade off the flack for
the publicity. Pity missing people seem to have sold their principles for it though isn't it?

(COMMENT DELETED)
Sam D Salway So even if you neglect your children and are the cause of there demise, you
can be an ambassador.    · 9

Liz Newman A new initiative? For heavens sake this woman never physically searched for
her own daughter never mind anyone elses. The name McCann only means one thing
around the world and that is "Child Neglect".    · 12
(COMMENT DELETED)
Barry Smith I am also confused with their reply. They have not read anything we have put
or are just thick. Kate McCann has launched a new initiative for a charity which will have
no money, as people have stated will not give anymore until Kate McCann goes. So try
again with a statement, saying KATE MCCANN HAS QUIT. This is the only thing that
will save your charity.    · 9
(COMMENT DELETED)
Debbie Carden Wray But how can a person whose child is only missing because of their
wilful neglect be classed as a suitable Ambassador? Surely a parent whose child has gone
missing through no fault of the parents would have been a better choice. I am struggling to
understand your decision??    · 12

actions you are putting out the message that it's ok. You're justifying the McCanns going

justifying them leaving them unattended where ANYTHING could happen. How do you
rationalise this?    · 13

Nancy Watson If any of the usual suspects crawling through here today gave one DAMN
for missing people then they would not be trying to derail a campaign which is there to
help all the missing. But they would rather display their hatred of Kate Mccann - and their
completely mixed up view of the case - than get behind it. It's a sad, sorry display of the
depths of utter perverse depravity which they will sink to. I too am a donor to the charity
and I APLLAUD them for appointing Kate. The complainers here can try asking the
dozens of other families of the missing who have met her if they think it's an appalling idea
- I doubt they will find one. Their view of Kate McCann is skewed by the ugly miasma
their lies and misinformation over 5 years have placed over their eyes. They need to take
their McCann goggles off and actually try doing something worthwhile to help the missing.
Their misplaced energy and zeal could do so much if only they had better hearts and a
more rational assessment of facts.    · 3

Nikki Evans THEY ARE STILL SUSPECTS IN THERE DAUGHTERS CASE .... how on
earth did she even pass the c.r.b , you would think her 1st priority would b to find her own
daughter and mayb start by answering the 48 unanswered police questions ,The files show
that the only question Mrs McCann did answer was: "Are you aware that in not answering
the questions you are jeopardising the investigation, which seeks to discover what
happened to your daughter?" She replied: "Yes, if that's what the investigation thinks." so
kate maybe start by answering the basic questions about ur daughters "dissaperence "and

daughter that she couldn't be bothered to care for, now you might not like it but that is the
FACTS. How can someone become an Ambassador of other missing people when she
couldn't even be bothered looking for her own. Admittingly she has made herself millions
of pounds and got her own PLC, but that is not searching, that if filling her bank account. It
is immoral the way she portrays herself after what she did to her OWN children.    · 13
(COMMENT DELETED)
Nancy Watson Sam, the one who started a bash the Mccanns faceBook page under the
pretence of being a reasonable person? We all saw that, none of us believed you then and
we already know many, many of the names here. They are long-running Mccann haters
who have spent five years sharpening their pitchforks and never miss an opportunity to
boot the boot in, even if a charity suffers. The person above claiming to be doing a skydive
is a good example. She posted on the Make A Wish Foundation's page that she is doing it
for THEM!!
(COMMENT DELETED)
Carla Oliveira This is pathetic. How can anyone in their right mind appoint Kate McCann
as ambassador of this charity; knowing that it was all down to her and her husbands lack of
good parenting. This is just a slap in the face for parents who have had their children
missing for years and still have not seen or heard anything from the media or public. Do
they deserve this?!?!?!    · 16
(COMMENT DELETED)
Daniel English Missing People Today Kate McCann launched a new initiative to find more
missing people, for which we are very grateful. We offer non-judgemental support for all
those who are missing and their families. We will never enter into unhelpful speculation.
We trust our partners in the Police service and always co-operate with their instructions
about appeals and support for families.
(COMMENT DELETED)
IM CONFUSED, are you offically saying you where instructed by the Police service to
make Kate an ambassador?    · 9

Dawn Spencer Nancy read all the comments Kate mccann has no support off decent
 people!!    · 11
(COMMENT DELETED)
Sam D Salway Nancy come out of hiding on twitter, I have never been on the fence when it
comes to neglect. NEVER EVER, and never will be. Now Nancy I don't know you, don't
care for your comments. I stand for what I believe in and that's no child abuse. Clear!    ·
12
(COMMENT DELETED)
Barry Smith ?@ Daniel I am a bit confused as well, because i cannot see the police service
endorsing this and also how the hell has she got a CRB check to work with children. Oh
and Nancy you talk a lot of rubbish and you are in a minority of 1.    · 14
(COMMENT DELETEd)

Liz Newman Well it appears both here and on twitter Nancy is in the minority. More and
more people are reading the Official Police Files, the UK press and media might have been
able to suppress the truth for 5 years, but now people are searching and reading, its all there
for them to see. Our press and media ect should be ashamed. They have learnt nothing from
Leveson. The McCanns are losing the support because people are finally reading and
seeing the truth!    · 15

Roanne Trudi Greenway Just for the record have done 12 dives for charity and one half
marathon , have a dive for missing people in August and make a wish in October for my

two charities close to my heart , my dad is missing and my friends child has a terminal
illness .... No reason to lie !!!!    · 9

Jackie Bidgood-Owen ?@Missing People.......I am in the process of fundraising for your
charity but have come to the decision to hand back all the money (so far over £1500) I have
raised to the people who kindly donated.Sorry you made the wrong choice in choosing
Kate McCann.    · 19
(COMMENT DELETED)
Lynn Barnden This is a joke surely, what's Kate after?.... an MBE maybe. Kate and her
husband Gerry were guilty of gross child neglect for leaving their 3 very young children,
ALONE in an UNLOCKED apartment, in a foreign country on not just one night, but I
believe every night of their holiday while they were out boozing with their friends. They
never even used the free creche that was available to them, that's how daft they were.
Madeleine could have even woken up, walked out the door of the apartment and got run
over by a car, but as it happened, she was abducted (supposedly). There's a lot more to this
case than meets the eye, and Kate and Gerry are lucky they never went to prison for child
neglect, and now you have made her Ambassador for Missing People.... you need to have a
re-think on this one, as it's a bad move, and judging by the comments on here and on This
Morning's website, you need to do it very soon.    · 18
(COMMENT DELETED)
Sam D Salway Can Missing people answer the question of where they instructed by the
 police as stated?    · 7

Barry Smith If the Police did instruct them, then we need to know, as a enquire needs to be

Debbie Bartlett Well, without being judgemental I would just like to say that I believe this
to be an inexplicable decision by Missing People and I am completely stunned by it. In my
opinion, the image of a charity such as this, which does so much good, can only be
damaged by appointing Mrs. McCann as an ambassador. Did nobody at Missing People
THINK before making this move?    · 20
(COMMENT REMAINED)
Judy Turner ?@ Nancy Watson please take note: Posted by Sally Jones - " I helped raise

Linda Strong Thank God that I have never been affected personally by having a loved one

(COMMENT DELETED)
Judy Turner Samantha Missing People have stated they expected this would not go down
well with the public yet still they went ahead.    · 9
(COMMENT DELETED)
Debbie Carden Wray I am with you on that. Sam, people are free to make their own minds
up as to whether they wish to keep donating, I am simply expressing my own view, not
seeking to influence anyone else,    · 7
(COMMENT DELETED)
Liz Newman ?@ Samantha, no one is "trying" to stop people donating, i DID donate not
any longer. If the Charity cared that much they would have chosen a "suitable" person to be
Ambassador not someone that neglected her own children is such a way as one vanished.
They have said more or less they knew this would not be a popular decision yet they still
went ahead and did it. So do they care about the Charity or whoever was pulling the string
to get Kate McCann this job? Seems like the latter to me!    · 7
(COMMENT DELETED)
Sam Wong They KNEW that countless people would be strongly opposed to their
appointing of Kate McCann as Ambassador of Missing People BUT still cling to the
illogical belief that, despite evidence to the contrary, Kate is an "amazing ambassador" for
the cause. Sorry, but would the Admin of this Page please explain the rationale behind this
conclusion?? Indeed, did any thought go into the writing of that Tweet? Please expand on
that statement and, while you at it, can you also describe the criteria employed by MP,
which resulted in eliminating all other contenders except Kate McCann? I look forward to
reading your reply.

Pamela Gurney Anita, certain of these people ALWAYS go too far and indeed are internet
bullies. They just don't seem to see it though.
Pamela Gurney Always the way Anita. They do it to swell their numbers! What is the point
in that if not to bully and harass. My husband allows me to view through his log in...that is
something quite different Daniel. I know these bullies of old and their little games so I keep
an eye on them that way. Another relative also keeps me informed.
Anita Marinelli What, writing the bad stuff? Why would she do that?    · 1
Helen Thompson If the posters truly cared about missing people they would not be
threatening to stop donating because they disagree with Kate being an ambassador.
Personally using bullying tactics to get your own way is shameful! As a parent my self I
have made mistakes that could have lead to awful consequences but I have been able to
reflect on them with my children safely in my arms. Some people don't get that chance and
my heart goes out to them. Kate has gone through the most dreadful pain, with Madeleine
being abducted she didn't get the chance to reflect on her mistake she has to live with it -
my support is with her ?    · 2
Julie Casey Was Chappell My dad wont be on the bill board i know what Kate is going
through only difference is my dad is an adult    · 4
Ann Kelly Julie I thought that Kate said yesterday that there would be adults on the
 billboards, sure she did.
Anita Marinelli Helen, I'm sure they're not all donating to or helping in the search for
people anyway, I've seen nothing but using this as an opportunity to condemn.    · 2
Ann Kelly Of course it is Anita, because lets tell the truth, most folks who donate to charity
do not speak about it or brag about it, they just do it.    · 1

Paul Castello Excellent news. I wish this campaign fronted by newly appointed
Ambassador Kate McCann every possible success. I hope that every single person finds it
within them to support the campaign and to look up at those billboards every time they pass
one. As Kate says everyone has it within them to make a difference to those missing people
and their families. Is there anyone who could begrudge the relatives and parents of missing
children and vulnerable adults the joy that would ensue from them being re-united. I really
hope not. Be it Madeleine McCann back with her family or any other child or adult re-
united with theirs, if this campaign succeeds with just a few more being found it will have
been a rousing success. Good luck to you all. 6 hours ago · 3

Pamela Gurney Every single person found will mean a family who have had their world
repaired. Everybody should be behind this and help in any way they can and take on board
every missing person and keep an eye open and an ear to the ground. I back Kate in her
role and know she will do wonderful work for this charity. 6 hours ago · 2

George Madden ?@ Paul, I couldn't have articulated those sentiments better myself - if this
campaign finds even just one single precious life it will have been a success. To all those
troubled families out there longing to find their loved ones, I borrow to say to you the
words of a famous Irishman (Dave Allen) who use to say this at the end of all his comedy
shows; May Your God Go With You. 3 hours ago · 2

Sandra Carter Well done Missing People, you have chosen well, Kate's experience gained
over the past five years, in her quest to find Madeleine, and her sheer determination will
prove to be an asset to all Missing People. 2 hours ago · 2
So Missing People are in NO DOUBT about what the public really think.
Theycan delete and fudge as much as they like, but when the truth is revealed they may find their Charity seriously damaged.

And yet again it shows that Whooshing comments does not work.
It is in fact counterproductive as it shows a propensity for dishonesty.

It's a new profession - the whoosher and the positive poster. There are whole new businesses specialising in this kind of reputation management. Some are paid to post a hundred or so positive comments under different  names under press articles. Others are set to watch and whoosh....

Alls this is doing wonders for the job market....roses

It is indeed a growing 'industry' Tigger.

I wonder what the official job title could be. It will have nothing to reference it to the specific role.

I'm more inclined to think of these deluded people as being convinced they are 'troofinators'

INTERESTINGLY, this chap pops up all over the net (at the mere mention of the McCann's)  with what I perceive as a clearly written script.
INTERESTINGLY, he says "Is there anyone who could begrudge the relatives and parents of missing
children and vulnerable adults the joy that would ensue from them being re-united."
INTERESTINGLY, he never mentions the care and attention that the McCann's so BEGRUDGED their children whilst holidaying in Pdl.

There are many more pages of them.  They greatly exceeded the maximum length for a posting.
The rest are all in the same vein.
Go the site and scan down.

Having deleted over 400, they were left with ten in support !

What it tells us is
1  Missing People are in no doubt at all that the general public are appalled
2  The McCanns are in no doubt that the general public are appalled
3  Carter-Ruck are in no doubt that the general public are appalled
4  No one can be in any doubt that only a few people with seriously reduced intellectual and analytical capacity still believe or support the McCanns and their Tapas friends / solicitors / paymasters / cronies / spokes-things.

By whooshing the comments they have proved, beyond a peradventure, that they are part of a conspiracy.

Missing People are no longer advertising their first conference in September for people affected by the loss of a loved one. I do wonder if there will be a cry of 'vicious troll threats' to this event and the reason for pulling it.

If you take a look at Missing People's website for forthcoming events you will find....absolutely nothing. Regional events (I take regional to be anything outside London) shows nothing in London and nothing in the regions.

I can't believe that so many salaried people run such a sh*tty website that has no updates with regards to results and no immediate reportage on money collected from specific events (apart from BHS). No-one in that organisation seems to think they have a duty to report how much money has been collected per event and what is being done with that money.

This charity also doesn't give specifics on its achievements but will offer up in its latest announcement research that has been undertaken by Barnardos and saying it is supported by Missing People.

Missing People's website is an absolute nightmare to navigate and it doesn't say first and foremost 'call the police if your child or an adult loved one is missing'.

I could go into the Missing People's website's choice of showing mostly white people on its homepage and yet the majority of people missing come from all races.

Take a look at this website and make up your own mind. It will take you hours to trawl through it. Imagine if you were a 'customer' of Missing People' that could mean you are the relative/loved one of a missing person or a person who has gone missing. Ask yourself how easy it would be to understand the services of Missing People. The phone number provided is the thing you are being pointed to....and donating money.

In the meantime nothing seems to be happening or worth updating for Missing People on their website. Perhaps they are on holiday.

All of the above is just my observation and my opinion.

Patrick Geenty is the Chief Constable of Wiltshire Police. He has served in Wiltshire Police since July 2009, and has been temporary chief constable since March 2012, when Chief Constable Brian Moore was seconded to the UK Border Force.[1]
Geenty was previously the Assistant Chief Constable with the force during April 2009 until March 2011, then Temporary Deputy Chief Constable, and then Deputy Chief Constable from December 2011. He started his policing career in 1982 as a Constable with Gloucestershire Constabulary serving in both uniform and CID officer and later Sergeant and Inspector. He moved to Humberside Police in 1998 as a Chief inspector, then Superintendent and finally as Chief Superintendent.
Geenty contributed to the 'Closing the Gap' report in 2004 assessing the capability of protective services across the UK. He also led the introduction of Neighbourhood Policing to East Yorkshire and built upon that success by leading the development of integrated neighbourhood management in partnership with local agencies.[2]

He is the ACPO lead for Missing Persons.

He was divisional commander for East Yorkshire during large scale floods of 2007.
Before his policing career, Geenty was a schoolteacher in Blackpool and Cheltenham. He has an MA in Criminology and Policing Studies from University of Exeter, and a Bachelor of Education from Saint Pauls College.

He Geenty is married with two children and lives in Gastard, Wiltshire. He enjoys rugby union, after retiring from playing the game.

I can't find the previous information on the Missing People website saying they had about a hundred people attending their first ever conference but I find most things difficult to find on their website. Still, it's not bad if you can get a Chief Constable to endorse your charity with a personal appearance. It's actually not very clear if Pat Geent will be turning up and giving a speech. It merely says people will be hearing from him - that could just be a video presentation....there's always ambiguity.

EDITING TO CORRECT

I've found the page on Missing People and Pat Geent is speaking at 11am.

MISSING PEOPLE - Whooshing comments Empty Re: MISSING PEOPLE - Whooshing comments

Post by Liz Eagles 24.08.13 9:28

A seemingly major charity for Missing People is hosting its first family conference on 7th September. Around 100 people will be in attendance.

Quote from Missing People Website

Who else is going?
"There will be up to 100 people coming on the day.  Most people will have someone who is missing to them and the other people will be professionals who are either there to make the day run smoothly or to speak at the conference."

So less than a hundred people directly affected by the loss of a missing person, a first conference re-announcement on 23rd August 2013 (two weeks before the conference date) from a charity that can invite a Chief Constable and ACPO lead in Missing Persons to turn up and give a talk for half an hour to what's basically a handful of people if we are to believe the 250,000 people going missing each year statistics. The Chief Constable will be free of charge to the charity - he's being paid for by the taxpayer. Those at the top of the charity are paid far more than he is and their rewards come from donations and grants. Now, I wonder how much copy is already prepared to hit the website of donation buttons to announce the triumph of their first ever conference (with less than 100 people in attendance and not all of them are affected). Don't forget to bring a photo of your missing loved one.

More information about the Family Conference

Saturday 7th September 2013, 10.30am – 4pm

With support from the ESRC and the 'geographies of missing people' team, we are bringing together families and friends of missing people and also professionals such as police, researchers, trauma specialists and the team from Missing People to discuss and learn more about living with having someone missing.

We’ve set this day up because families have been telling us that meeting other people in a similar situation has helped and that having an opportunity to explain what really matters to you and to have a voice is really important.

We’d really welcome other members of your family along if they’d like to join you too. If you would like to bring children who are affected they are very welcome, please do consider though that some of the content of the day may be difficult to hear or sensitive in nature, but we do think it is very important that young people and children have an opportunity to attend such events as well.

Please book your place/s by Friday July 26.

The Agenda for the day

We want to plan the agenda for the day, taking into account who you would like to hear from and what groups you would like to take part in.  Please see below the timings of sections, without full content at this stage.

How to get there

It is located just 8 minutes’ walk from King’s Cross. From the station, turn left and then take second left turn up Caledonian Road. After a few minutes walk, you will come across All Saints Street on the left which is where the NCVO is based.

The nearest mainline stations are St Pancras and King’s Cross.

I also note that no-one could be bothered to edit the re-announcement and you need to book your place by 26th July!

That's going to detract from the 480 or so 'lost' people on their website - not a big number compared to the 200.000 said to be missing each year. UK must have carelessly lost millions of people by now.

Where's Mrs? How long since we have seen or heard from her? Shouldn't an ambassador be out and about, sitting on sofas etc. plugging the charity personally?

Any major marathons coming up, maybe get a sighting of her at one of thesetitter:

Or maybe in Turkey, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Liverpool on holiday, but I would hazard a guess not in Portugal.

Madeleine's image was electronically projected onto Marble Arch iirc - I may have the wrong edifice. Hacked Off's weird (imo) advertising campaign re their call for signatures to summon up support for their 'cause' was electronically projected onto the Houses of Parliament - remember that you could sign the petition with any old name of your choice). These are fairly unique things don't you think? I can understand a major event such as the Olympic games 'party in the park' or whatever it was called being given permission to project images onto public buildings etc. It is electronic graffiti and I cannot see how any cause or individual could be given permission to do it otherwise we'd see important buildings in London covered in electronic advertising for any old thing. So how come Madeleine's parents and Hacked Off were given permission to do this?

Kate's debut in her ambassadorial role for Missing People was to launch digital media boards showing pictures and details of missing people. The first digital screen was in Birmingham and pictured a teenager who had gone missing and who was found within a very short time  (iirc within a day) although that was probably due to police and social services efforts and knowledge. This same teenager has gone missing again - perhaps she's not happy at home. Is her image going to be digitally shown in Birmingham each time she leaves home? or are the agencies who found her going to do something about her absence and to improve things for her life. I haven't seen any other picture of Kate standing next to a digital media board since.

What I have seen is this almost zealous pursuit of digital media. It makes me wonder who owns the digital media companies. Kate's 'launch' was to announce a three month free of charge use of digital media which has since moved to a much longer period - although unless you read the Missing People website (and get past all of those donate buttons) you might have missed it.

Just my opinion.

Strangely, the website hasn't been updated to report on the day's events.

We can deduce that the McCanns didn't show up or there would have been a wave of nauseating headlines about their concern for others in a similar situation.

Maybe they are all out looking for the parents who seem to have gone missing this week. lol.

Surely their colleagues both at the hospital and the charity must wonder why they haven't stepped into the witness box. I know I would and as Hobs posted a while back, what an awful position to be in where everybody they see on a daily basis smiles, but then wondering what they are really thinking behind their backs.
