Carole Malone did the newspaper review on Sky news at 10:30 and she wasn't impressed at all. I get the impression she's very clued up about this case. It's worth watching her again at 11:30.

I think Carole Malone is one of the wish they would just STFU and go away brigade. She is very forthright in her opinions but wise enough not to say anything which would get her into trouble.

Just watching Sky on their multi screen red button service. The Madeleine report mentions that the parents are not in the group of 12 persons of interest. That doesnt mean they're in the clear, they're in the hot seat in my opinion. The father was the last person to see Madeleine. No one has said he has been eliminated from the investigation, the investigation that's only been announced today. He's simply not in the 12. Wow... why would he be when he's probably in the number 2 spot of the suspect list. A completely different list that will be called to action when the police have cut off the escape exits by interviewing the 38.

I don't know why people think the McCanns are special, protected, wealthy, have power, control the media, have 'friends in HIGH places, are imune to scrutiny, are above police investigation. They are simply media puppets who have been lucky to be able to afford to buy the services at a price of some decent legal agents. When the money has gone they're f**ked. I've not seen Branson, JK, Greene, Beckham et al aligning themselves with the parents of late like anytime in the last 4 years. I don't know anyone who is not dubious of their integrity.

These two wont cloud my aspirations for the little justice that may be metered out. I'm staying POSITIVE !!!

SY have identified 38 persons of interest. The Tapas group are not among them.

But, why would SY need to identify them, when the PJ have already done so.

The Tapas group, either as suspects or witnesses, are right at the centre of this investigation.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next.

It will be interesting. The media are showing their reckless attitude to accuracy re the SHE'S ALIVE ! headlines. Let us hope that she is... but that is not what Redwood said.

I wonder what happened to the couple who went to comfort Maddie? They must be near the top of that list.

He's referring to the 38.

I'm keeping my positive head on. And sticking by my first post. Once they've gathered these 38 statements. The evidence imo will be sifted through. And the BSers will get pulled in and questioned again on all the contradictions etc.

On August 28th 2007, Gerry gave an interview in Edinburg, where he told that the PJ did not consider them suspects.
Around that time, Olegário de Sousa said the same and it was AFTER the dogs.
On September the 7th the parents were made arguidos.

Redwood said yesterday that those 28 people are the reason why the review became an investigation.

They know why they are doing that. They needed an excuse.

For a while they can not go to Rothley, knock, knock, knock on the McCanns' door.
They have to eliminate all of the 28 and wonder "who is left over?".

And them starting to investigate Tapas 9.
Tapas 9 will be their last investigation.

Maybe even more specific their task was: create a scenario where abduction took place in 1min 30 sec (thanks PeterM), but don't involve pathetic parents or friends in any thing else than victim role.

Yes but what did he say before that? The clip was very clearly edited to give it a certain slant.

Bristow, that is normal in every crime and in most countries.
Police are also social workers, they give support to victims, and they visit them regularly.
