Since SY has the identity of this guy surely you would think they would track down his family and try to ask about Maddie whereabout. If he hadn't left Maddie anywhere or with anyone then it goes without saying Maddie is dead.

A fat lot of good for the Police to have shown (purportedly) Mccanns the photo of the dead man -- not as if the Mccanns can identify the guy (phantom) who took Maddie?


Urs Von Aesch, 67, shot himself in the head and was the prime suspect in the disappearance of five-year-old Swiss girl Ylenia Lenhard, who went missing last week.
The links between Ylenia and Madeleine are striking - they are only a year apart in age, both are blonde and both are of a similar build and height.
It was reported in the Swiss press that detectives in Portugal are to show his photograph to Kate and Gerry McCann after it emerged Von Aesch was on holiday in the Algarve at the beginning of May, when their daughter was snatched.

With regard to your headlines of today 25th May 2013 concerning the new lead regarding Urs Hans von Aesch.
This isn't a new lead, this was investigated at the time by the Portuguese police.
You even ran a story at the time about it,

I believe your headline to be very misleading and it's about time a British newspaper had some guts to confront the real issues that the vast majority of the British public question continually, the findings of the cadaver and blood dogs, Eddie and Keela, the vastly inconsistent timeline from the 'tapas 7' the sighting by the Smith family and the deleted phone records of the Mccanns and their friends, along with many other inconsistencies.
All this can be found in the PJ files which are freely available for the general public to read on the internet.

Only this time you have injected slightly more xenophobia and abuse.
The portuguese police clearly did NOT drag their feet 6 years ago. They dealt with the issue at the time, which is why they will not go through it all again.
I think you may find that they know precisely what happened, as do many journalists in Britain. All that is lacking is the substantive proof ! And that may take a really professional investigative journalist to uncover.
