I just cannot understand the dumped at the side of the road when there are huge basuras all over. Unless this stretch of road was nowhere near either housing or Industrial units in which case maybe not.
Also JT saying she didn't have a pair of jeans with her on the holiday seems very unlikely.

Right. Very strange. To do, to tell and then to stress that strange fact. Jeans are the first thing to pack in your suitcase, especially on holiday and with no certainty of what the weather will be like.

I wonder if the jeans (with 16 stains on), the child's T-shirt, the pencil case and the shower curtain that were in the bag had been forensically tested when found and where they are now. As forensics have no doubt improved over the past 7 years I wouldn't imagine that the PJ would send them to the UK for an up-to-date forensic test but to a lab they can trust.

Thanks very much for that. I do remember now that photo from way back, but my memory is non existent these days, I can't even remember what I had for dinner a few days ago most of the time. smilie

Oh dear, photos don't lie not like humans ....

I would still like to know where that bag is, whether it's in the PJ's vault waiting to be brought out in a trial with numerous telling forensics on the items it contained. Time will tell hopefully.

The bag went to a UK lab in Birmingham.

I thought it might be a good idea to look at the deleted news articles from 2007.

I came across one dated 5th May that mentioned what Madeleine was wearing when last seen. It says she was wearing *white pyjamas*.
When asked to describe was Madeleine was wearing on his 6.20 visit David Payne said that he thought the colour was predominantly white.

Is this a reporters mistake?

As we have seen from the evolving statements perhaps some true facts have been lost over time, with much help from the McCann's.

spot on hicks, its hard to know what was true and what wasnt,given Gerry's very callous statement of how confusion early on was good.If my child was missing the last thing id want would be confusion
