In addition, Missing People are well aware that many kids are missing because they have run away from abusive situations in the home yet they have the gall to advertise a prize offered by a person who was on the sex offenders register for five years for accessing child abuse images. Incredible! They obviously don't give a damn who represents them as long as they rake in the cash. As an ambassador for the charity, will Kate McCann have to meet and greet Townshend, maybe he'll be seated next to her and they can have a chat about her book? Why are the media banging on about that awful t-shirt stunt at Wandsworth Prison and ignoring this story?
I honestly thought Jeanmonroe's reference to Townshend was a joke until I saw your post and then I checked the link

What next? signed albums of Gary Glitter, Savile's gold lame shell suit, one of Graham Ovenden's paintings? Tut tut tut... Just when you think things couldn't get much worse. What a disgraceful 'charity'!

Totally agree. But Alison Jackson is a much celebrated Artist don't ya know! And hey, she's donating a copy of that pic for charity. It beggars belief that the Royals must have given permission for her to promote this collection.

Come come: nice, childloving people, as witnessed by their showing a picture of a half naked child titled black and blue: they want to raise our awareness of little children being bludgeoned black&blue, who (these children) then are kindly invited to stand up and pose for an artist of sorts, who then draws their picture for the Missing Childrens benefit gala to display and sell.

Bludgeoned child being sold to raise money for one-man charity, just these days looking for a PA to that one man, which PA is to be paid to the tune of 30.000 a year.

A lot of money.

Maybe this PA has to look at a lot of bludgeoned missing people while she's at it?

Who are the people behind Missing People? Who are their governors, board members or whatever they call themselves? Who makes their decisions and who are they accountable to ? Of course I will now need to research on-line to find out. How many ordinary subcsribers will take the time to do that? Charity imo is now in danger of becoming a dirty word.
