channel 4 documentary Searching for Madeleine Where can I find it?

Hi all,

I have been trying to track down this Documentary. The closest I have come is the Mccannfiles website which has the transcript but the youtube link to the documentary says that it has been removed.

David Barclay (Former Head of Physical Evidence UK National Crime and Operations Faculty) seems highly suspiscious of the parents abduction claims.

I would be greatful for a link or any information as to why this programme is so hard to locate.

Barclay definitely had an open mind on the case. I have the programme, and can upload it later (not at home at the moment) if nobody else finds it.

Martin Brunt's documentary for Sky News had Professor Barclay in it IIRC and that was a decent documentary IMO.

I read some of the transcript ( good think we have that now the vid is gone)

This stood out to me (bold lines). CP = Charlotte Pennington

CP: I was working that night at something called 'Drop-in Creche'. We had one child left and... errm, the mother came in, picked up the child and just mentioned 'Hang on a minute, I've just seen a guy who's run past me, who seemed really distressed and I recognised him as being a guest at Mark Warner, but he was shouting out something like 'Maddie' or 'Abbey' or 'Gabby'.

They never called her Maddie , they made a big deal of that

[DAY 1 LOST CHILD PROCEDURE May 3rd 10.10pm]

JS: Mark Warner staff were briefed and fanned out across the resort.

CP: I went straight to the apartment. I sort of walked in, did a quick scan around and been told 'No, no. She's not here, she's not here'. Kate McCann was outside and she was very distressed. She was saying things like 'They've taken her' and 'She's gone' and, you know, 'Where is she? Where is she?' She was crying and there were tears down her face and it was absolutely heartbreaking to see

Eh can you cry without having tears down your face ?

A statement analys of CP's word would be interresting to read..

Just re-watched it. It has to be one of the most realistic media presentations, not biased towards the impossible fairytale we normally are subjected to.

Channel 4 deleted this video off their youtube channel. They have plenty of others still on there, including the Mccanns own Maddie was Here one, so there must have been *a reason*. ITV are the same. You cannot find the Madeleine One Year On documentary anywhere online. Someone had recorded all the text off it from teletext or something but this was on the old 3a forum so no longer available. There were some interesting things said in both of them. the poster was called rufusa, so rufus if you are looking in and still have the transcript on your pc, please post it.

Someone did post the c4 dispatches up to youtube after a while but again, decided to delete it because of the comments received.

Tcat if you upload it to youtube it could be OK but try get it on blip.tv as well or blinkx.com

Will do Jack [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I can't see why anyone could object to the documentary, it doesn't even mention our four legged friends. The 2007 Panorama did briefly mention them, and that's still online (I think?)

I have the ITV one too, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing interesting in that - apart from it's value to media students (can't be many suspects who ever had a 90 minute prime time tribute broadcast for them!)

I've just watched the documentary from Sky (Dec 07) I hadn't seen it before, I thought it was very good, particularly the footage of him at night, showing exactly how far it was to walk from the tapas bar to the apartment. It just reinforces my opinion that the children were never left alone at all.

No probs guys. I can up a better version of the 2007 Panorama also. JT will like that.

The ITV one Frostie is more or less like a 90 minute film version of the book [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] apart from the alarming body language GM shows at the end when asked about Madeleine's comment about being left alone, which is online already. Do you really want to watch all 90 mins of it? It's grim viewing.

Every video is important as the devil is always inthe detail. As for GMs alarming body language, what is new!

I think Hideho has uploaded the Panorama documentary from 07, so if its the same you might not need to do that one.
