Lorraine Kelly: Parenthood is a privilege this monster didn’t deserve
Parenthood is a privilege this monster didn’t deserve
By Lorraine Kelly (Patron for 'Missing People')
WHENEVER I read a story about child neglect and cruelty I always think of those women and men who are desperate but unable to be parents, who’d give anything for the privilege of bringing a child into the world.
The latest appalling case involved a 22-year-old single mother-of-four from Blackburn in Lancashire, who went off on a 24-hour bender and left her children home alone. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1222196/Britains-worst-mother-left-babies-toddlers-home-went-24-hour-drinking-binge.html
The oldest child was just four. The youngest was a three-month-old baby.
This appalling excuse for a mother was only found out when her distraught eldest daughter was seen hanging out the window crying for her mum.
Shocked police officers entered a filthy and disgusting hovel littered with empty beer cans and bottles. The baby was lying in a urine-soaked cot and there was debris and rubbish everywhere. The poor children were starving.
The mother was found guilty of four charges of neglect and will be sentenced later this month, but she can’t be named in order to “protect” her kids.
Love
I sincerely hope those four little mites are now being looked after properly by someone who will give them the love and attention they need.
You can’t help but wonder how often they were left scared, hungry and all on their own. Anything could have happened to them and it’s only through sheer luck they weren’t seriously hurt or even killed.
The little girl could have fallen from the window and any one of them could have taken a tumble. What possible chance of a decent future do children like that have if they’re never shown care and compassion, or taught basic life skills like how to keep themselves and their homes clean?
Some people just don’t deserve to have kids, and as much as this story upset and angered me I think how much worse it must be for childless couples who would make excellent parents.
The mother could find herself in jail, but it’s clear she isn’t fit to look after her children and they would be far better off being fostered or adopted, ideally as a family unit so they can all stay together.
Sadly their feckless mother is young enough to have more kids that she can neglect and mentally scar for life.
Meanwhile desperate couples put themselves through expensive and draining IVF treatment to fulfil their dreams of parenthood.
Life can be very unfair.

In contrast, Lorraine Kelly has this to say about Kate (Ambassador for 'Missing People') and Gerry McCann, who did pretty much the same thing:
Question: You have been quite vocal in your defence of Kate and Gerry McCann. Why do you think so many people are suspicious of them?
"I have nothing but the deepest sympathy for Kate and Gerry McCann. I can't begin to imagine how they have suffered and they have been so brave in their battle to find their daughter. No one knows better than them how stupid it was to leave their kids alone that night, but what a price they paid. I think the way they have been vilified is appalling and inhumane. They will never rest until they find Madeline and they can never really have any peace until they know what happened to their little girl. It is a living hell."

Re: Lorraine Kelly: Parenthood is a privilege this monster didn’t deserve
Deepest sympathy for Kate and Gerry McCann , the parents who allegedly left their children alone not just for one night remember but for five ?
Let's not forget their friends allegedly did the same some with children who were unwell .
Does Lorraines sympathy extend to them as ?
Oh no it wouldn't , would it they were lucky enough not to have a child " abducted by a predator " , phew don't have to worry then !
" I can't begin to imagine how they have suffered " , how about trying to imagine how Madeleine , remember her the one who is missing , has suffered if what they tell you and us is true ?
Sorry I forgot there's no evidence she's come to any harm is there !
Then poor Madeleine hasn't got Carter Ruck on her team , has she ? Sending out letters and threatening anyone who disagreed with your friends the McCanns .
Only the best to speak for the parents and their public image .
For Madeleine ? Successive teams of " private investigators " most of them ending up in prison , all of them useless !
What a price Madeleine paid Lorraine dear , what's your price ?

You can’t help but wonder how often they were left scared, hungry and all on their own. Anything could have happened to them and it’s only through sheer luck they weren’t seriously hurt or even killed.
Or abducted
The same could have happened to the McCann twins. Not to Madeleine of course, because she wasn't around after April 29th. But this little girl doesn't count for the likes of the hypocrite that Lorraine Kelly is.
The little girl could have fallen from the window and any one of them could have taken a tumble.
Is that what happened to Madeleine #McCann Lorraine?
What possible chance of a decent future do children like that have if they’re never shown care and compassion, or taught basic life skills like how to keep themselves and their homes clean?
Shocked police officers entered a filthy and disgusting hovel littered with empty beer cans and bottles. The baby was lying in a urine-soaked cot and there was debris and rubbish everywhere. The poor children were starving.
I suppose that Lorraine finds it acceptable to carry soiled nappies, rotting meat and sea bass for your 2 yr old in your boot? Not to mention a frozen cadaver.
Or, taking your child's cuddly toy to the mortuary?

The hypocrite should feel embarrassed, she has a lot to be embarrassed about. But what exactly does she get for assisting the prime suspects in a missing child case? Money, fame, work, Promise of a honour?

She became a model for a clothing company. Come on. She was seen leaping and jigging about on tv as a fashion model. I gotta laugh. Yep fashion model, all 5ft of her. ha ha ha.
Still who can forget her get up as that very stylish icon Audrey Hepburn. HA HA HA.
Am I really supposed to take her seriously?

Lorraine Kelly
Hi Plebgate, that's the point though isn't it,softly spoken words, empathy in abundance for Kate,Gerry, over the demise of Madeleine,"She's alive until proven otherwise mantra",carefully selected questions answers, anything too questioning of the couple,"don't even go there"!plebgate wrote:Bikini Kelly covering her own arris. ha ha like it.willowthewisp wrote:Sweet Lorraine Kelly has moved on into advertising for House ware products now, trying to cover her own arse in case something appears from the past to cause embarrassing moments of allegance to say the least,Fiona Philip's another candidate?

They've backed themselves into this "situation" Defamation,"Truth of the Lie"?
Now that the Portugal Supreme Court has re-issued their statement,"The McCann's have been involved with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann,Not innocent" is a telling moment!
Then add in the ramifications of the necessity to have a " Review by the UK Police", backed up by Prime Minister David Cameron, blackmailed by Rebekah Brooks Home Office Secretary Theresa May,when they could have asked when in Portugal for the PJ to Re-open Madeleine's case?
Are the Government still going to Cover Up on Operation Grange,it depends who calls their Bluff, child abuse covered up for decades,is this the reason or something more sinister?

Maddie McCann 'given up on' by British authorities

The father of missing Madeleine McCann has said his “innocent, vulnerable” daughter had been “essentially given up on” by British authorities.
During a television interview with Lorraine Kelly days before the third anniversary of her disappearance, Gerry McCann urged the Government to carry out a “comprehensive review” of the case.
He told Lorraine Kelly: “It’s not right that an innocent, vulnerable British citizen is essentially given up on.
“And I don’t think it’s right that as parents, that we have to drive the search. Of course we will, but not everyone has had the same resources and support that we have had to be able to do that. And I think it’s pretty cruel.”
The pre-recorded GMTV interview will be broadcast on Wednesday. Mr McCann said it was “incredibly frustrating” that police in Portugal and the UK are not doing more to find the missing youngster.
At the time of her disappearance, the couple were criticised for leaving their three children alone in a holiday apartment as they went for dinner nearby. Mr McCann said that if they could go back, they would not have left her alone.
He said: “If we could turn back the clock and change what happened, obviously we wouldn’t have done it. We can’t. And what I would say is, you know, people have got to put themselves into our position. What would you do if it was your daughter? After this, what would you do?”
The parents still believe Madeleine, who went missing when she was three, is alive and are releasing a pack for people to take abroad and put up posters featuring her picture.
Kate McCann said: “Certainly in my heart I feel she is out there. I mean I know there is nothing to say that she isn’t, so we have to carry on working and thinking like that.
“I mean logically I can’t say, I mean none of us can say for definite other than the people involved. But I know we can’t give up because there is no evidence to say that she is not.”

Kate and Gerry 'gave up' on their own daughter before the British authorities did, though, by not answering the police questions, cancelling the official police reconstruction because it would have interfered with busy work schedules, fleeing the crime scene when they were made official suspects, and not requesting the case remain open when all it would have cost them was a stamp on a letter to the Portuguese Attorney-General.
(As it turned out it only took the MMRG eleven years to save up for the stamp so that we could write to the A-G instead: https://jillhavern.forumotion.net/t14979-letter-to-portugal-the-disappearance-of-madeleine-mccann-new-evidence-of-what-happened-to-her)

Lorraine Kelly on Twitter:
"I am baffled by people who have no sympathy for Madeleine's mum and dad. They have endured three years without their child. A living hell."
And here we see Kate and Gerry having a 'living hell' on the beach
Kate and Gerry having another 'living hell' whilst shopping
And even more 'living hell' whilst out jogging
It's impossible to imagine the kind of living hell Maddie endured in Praia da Luz, if the evidence of blood, bodily fluids and cadaver scent is anything to go by.
Still baffled, Lorraine?
