In fact Operation Grange has effectively ignored best part of the Portuguese investigation despite being assigned to initially coordinate and review all documentation relative to the case of Madeleine McCann's disappearance. They've been flying in the face of all reason since May 2011 against all odds - what next I ask myself. A review of a review of a review and then a renewed investigation to compliment the Met Police renewed investigation that reviewed the PJ investigation?

Listen/watch HH 'explain'
LBC radio, broadcast on April 26, 2016.
BHH: "We're On Final Lead In Madeleine McCann Case"
"....just bear in mind what happened Nick, so you got thousands of pages..............from the hundreds of witnesses statements.....these inquiries, for those that don't get involved in them, don't realize just what they generate, huge amounts of material and, OF COURSE, these ALL HAD TO BE TRANSLATED, these didn't start out in English, they were translated to English....."
Now, the £100,000 question is................WHY didn't the MET/OG 'investigators' USE the already 'translated files', the Mcs, supposedly, had had translated, at a 'cost' to, the publicly donated to, 'search fund' of £100,000?
WHY didn't OG USE the Mcs already 'translated' files??
WHY did the MET/OG have to 'translate' ANY 'files' when the Mcs 'say' that they had already done 'all that'?
We ONLY have KM's 'word' that the 'files' were 'translated' by the Mcs.
And we also 'know' she 'lied' to, and did not 'co-operate' with Police Officers in Portugal!
Did KM also 'lie' about having the 'files' translated at 'a cost' of £100,000 to the search 'fund'?
What would their 'supporters' think of 'THAT'?
MET 'translation' of 'files' or Mcs 'translation' of 'files'?
YOU.... 'DECIDE'!
jta: So, OG's, 'two or three people', have been 'working', full time, on the 'final lead' for the last 10 MONTHS!
or, as I 'suspect'
OG's, 'two or three people', have been working, full time, on the 'final lead', waiting upon the 'final' judgement from the PSC, as regards the 'outcome' of the Mcs, 'appeal' against GA.
All, imo, obviously.

It always seemed as if Redwood and Co were told by the government - "spend what you like but don't touch the parents. Find a tramp or a dead pedo or anyone... but don't dare go near the tapas lot."

When you think what there is on the parents.....the dogs finding blood and cadaver evidence; the deleted phone calls; the Gaspar statements re Payne and McCann; the "no comment" over knowing Murat; the Martin Smith statement regarding McCann; the lack of ANY evidence of an intruder......and that is just the beginning. The diplomat at the start (Buckinghamshire? ) said not to trust the Mccanns. He was soon shut up and moved on. It is absolutely obvious they have been protected for 10 years. If that unravels though ... it opens a huge can of worms.

I suppose that depends on what the parents & the 'tapas lot' might say during a court case.jeanmonroe wrote:Reggiregg wrote:It always seemed as if Redwood and Co were told by the government - "spend what you like but don't touch the parents. In the view of many of us, the Martin Smith alleged sighting of Gerry McCann carrying his dead daughter Madeleine through the streets of Praia da Luz (at the very moment she was reported missing) is one giant 'red herring' in this case - which is already a veritable morass of outright lies, half-truths, deceptions, fabrications and all manner of diversionary tactics.Reggiregg wrote:When you think what there is on the parents.....the dogs finding blood and cadaver evidence; the deleted phone calls; the Gaspar statements re Payne and McCann; the "no comment" over knowing Murat; the Martin Smith statement regarding McCann...
Quite apart from...
(a) Smith's unaccountable 13-day delay in reporting his sighting,
(b) the fact that he says he only saw the man for a second or two in the dark, and
(c) only thought it was 60% to 80% likely to be Gerry MCann 'based on the way he was carrying his son off the plane'...
...the fact is that Martin Smith began working for the McCann Team in December 2007/January 2008 and has been doing ever since.
If you want to follow up all the many things that are wrong about the Smith sighting, please go to any of the 'Smithman' threads on the forum - there are nine of them

@ hogwash Hi. I have set down my arguments and the whole history of Martin Smith's entanglement both with the McCann Team and with Operation Grange on the 'SMITHMAN 8' thread, here:hogwash wrote:Tony Bennett wrote:...the fact is that Martin Smith began working for the McCann Team in December 2007/January 2008 and has been doing ever since.Reggiregg wrote:When you think what there is on the parents.....the dogs finding blood and cadaver evidence; the deleted phone calls; the Gaspar statements re Payne and McCann; the "no comment" over knowing Murat; the Martin Smith statement regarding McCann...

Please do not turn this topic 'thread' into a 'Smithman' discussion.

Er, @ jeanmonroe I don't think there is any danger of that.jeanmonroe wrote:Please do not turn this 'thread' into a 'Smithman' discussion.
A new member seems to think the 'Smithman' sighting was genuine. I replied by making brief suggestions as to why it wasn't. 'hogwash' queried the claim that Martin Smith had been in effect working for the McCann Team since early 2008 and so I referred him direct to the 'SMITHMAN 8' thread where all the reasons for my view are set out in detail.
It's important that new members who may know little about the case in detail are directed to appropriate places on the forum where they can get better informed. Which is all that has happened.
Anyway, the main reason I'm back on the thread is to post another press cutting from the week's events:

Nothing on any front pages yet Tony?
Funny how favourable headlines for the McCanns always found their way to the front page.

Armed with this information surly an MP should be contacted and a point made in parliament ,as to why two potential suspects ( its in writing ) are being aided and abbeted the UK Police force by virtue of not persuing this line of enquiry . Plus the cost of this chirade

That is what is so appalling. Blood and the scent of a dead body in the flat, and the dead body smell in the car, on the mother's clothes, on the key fob....why would something so utterly incriminating be ignored by the police and the media??? It is awful to think our police are so corrupt.

They are just doing their job.Reggiregg wrote: It is awful to think our police are so corrupt.
Their job is to follow orders.
There are no independent Policemen.
They would be fired for not following orders.

Redwood could have refused to go along with the charade. Instead he announced the parents were completely in the clear and spent years and millions chasing tramps and dead men.

Well the dogs are " incredibly unreliable " you know Gerry told them that .Reggiregg wrote:That is what is so appalling. So as Bluebag says they did as they were told and followed orders .
Yet to this day dogs are still used , because they are told to use them .
Whose orders are they following ?
Who gives the order and WHY ????

The police in this country do as they are jolly well told. Attempts were made by the embassy authorities in 2007 to ensure that the Portuguese Police di the same, however they did not play ball and drew their conclusions based upon accurate facts. The main fact being that the McCanns lied to the world when they were supposedly traumatised by their child's disappearance.Reggiregg wrote:Redwood could have refused to go along with the charade.
