Yes it seems to be down. It's as if someone hasn't renewed the domain payment or something as it redirects to something like securest.net. I just checked and the Facebook page is still up.

As the latest message said that Madeleine will be them for Christmas it would seem likely they know something we don't, PeterM, and perhaps GoDaddy wants a word with daddy the website's creator in order to conclude their business?

Or,rather than removing the begging bowl button they close the whole site, there is nothing on it so of no consequence.

I don't think it can be because they forgot to renew it...
The site doesn't expire until May.

Other than emptying checking the tills on a weekly basis and adding a new message 2/3 times a year, how much maintenance does it need - or is that a 'how long is a piece of string' question, sharonl?

Even if it requires taking care of 24/7, surely there'd be no shortage of volunteers among the senders of the sacks of Christmas cards from two well-wishers that are delivered to the Towers from around the globe?

Ah, so their website has been hacked?
Can they blame it on the North Koreans...? :-D

I would agree with you 100% there but remember how much they claim to have paid for just setting this basic site up.  £37,000 to Callum Macrae, a student of Aunty Phils'.  They could have got that done for free given the circumstances (if they were true), or at the most, for a few hundred pounds.  The McCanns need someone that they can trust completely to run this site, could that trust be costing them?

I don't have the securepaynet virus or malware or whatever it is on my computer - I checked.
The page displayed is like a splash page that was deliberately put there.
Is it possible the webbo's have decided to make it look like they've been hacked rather than just make the site disappear?

Eh-oh. It's up again.
http://www.findmadeleine.com/
This time with just the Christmas message.
And then you can click on the Home page and get back to all the original stuff.
Someone must have been paying attention :-)

I doubt it, or they would have had another go at the grammar and syntax, and made it intelligible.
They could also have concentrated on Madeleine, rather than on themselves, but over the last 7 years we have learned to expect this.

Why do we continue?
There is absolutely nothing to suggest that Madeleine has been harmed.
Madeleine is still missing and someone needs to be looking for her.
She is very young and vulnerable and needs our help.
We love her dearly and miss her beyond words.

Unbelievable!
They're still claiming she has not met any harm, despite the MET Police's proclaimation to the contrary ie that likely she did not leave the apartment alive, and despite the dig (for the body).

In what parallel McUniverse do predatory Paedo***s NOT cause harm to their victims. That is for me one of the most disturbing things about their pronouncements.
They surely are not of the mind-set which holds that it is OK ! Even Kate's kiddy-porn page in her book acknowledges that harm would occur

'Madeleine is still missing and someone needs to be looking for her.'
------------------------------------------------

'SOMEONE'! (needs to be 'looking')

But NOT 'ANYONE' from either of the McCann/Healy 'families' or ANY of the McCann's T9 'friends'!

But 'SOMEONE'! ('else')
------------------------------------

That is for me one of the most disturbing things about their pronouncements.

"WE AIN'T LOOKING"! "WE NEVER HAVE!" "WE'RE FAR TOO PRECIOUS"!

"WE AIN'T LOOKING, BECAUSE, WE KNOW EXACTLY WHERE SHE IS!"?

This month marks our fourth Christmas without Madeleine.  We hope with all our hearts that wherever she is, she is safe and well and whoever may be with her is treating her with the love and respect she so deserves.

In McKate's universe the abductor-paedo****s treat their victims with love and respect the victims so deserve..... never mind they were abusing the victims in parallel time.

Kate, in spite of her kiddy-porn page acknowledging harm would occur, happens also to believe with all her heart that her daughter is well and safe in the hands of her predatory paedo****.

That for me suggests Kate is so mentally unbalanced she needs to be certified.

I agree, it's definitely the sign of a mental problem if that is what K.McC thinks. Out of touch with reality for sure. And the fact she doesn't even realize what those words imply.

The advice for if you see Madeleine is completely up the duff

If you think you see Madeleine:

1)      Report to the local police IMMEDIATELY !!
( Please use link to get the police emergency number for the country you are visiting before you leave.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_telephone_number#Europe
2)      Is there CCTV at the location? Ask for it to be retained.
3)      Did the individuals purchase anything (electronic payment) - thereby leaving a 'footprint'?
4)      Did they leave in a vehicle? Try to take registration details.
5)      If possible, discreetly take video or photo evidence to be examined by the police.

If I see Madeleine this is what I'll do

If anyone like me sees Madeleine:

1)      Report it immediately to Sky News, Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, BBC News 24 in that order
2)      Delete mobile phone records.
3)      Lose all digital pictures & any cameras.
4)      Discreetly do nothing then contact local police at a time that suits.
5)      Draw up 3 timelines of what happened before sighting, then get on knees & pray.

BTW, what should a TM supporter do if they have  sighting outside of Europe, say in Brazil?
