Madeleine McCann’s parents welcome new information

THE parents of missing Madeleine McCann welcomed new information suggesting their daughter may be in America.

A spokesman for Liverpool-born Kate and Gerry McCann said an investigator did “absolutely the right thing” by going to the police.

Amateur sleuth Marcelino Italiano claimed Madeleine was snatched by an Algarve-based paedophile ring which had taken other children.

A spokesman for the McCanns said: “This man has done absolutely the right thing by going to the police in Spain.

“It is entirely appropriate that the police and any other law enforcement body now investigates these claims.”

Then according to Mitchell, it is only appropriate that the "amateur sleuth[s]" here and else where take their findings to the police for further investigation.

Why do the mccanns keep asking for new info when they dont act on it when info did come in!

Just to bloat over it - another lead, another sighting, another clue that she's still out there - still to be found? But the 64m question is : Found by who if the mccanns dont act or follow up on new info.

Did they expect interpol all over the world to mobilise a squad each time someone sells codswallop to the Press?

and lets not forget the phone number that was given out before for the public to ring with any new information but lo and behold - nobody appeared to be answering the phone!
