Footage or photo boarding plane to PDL

Having looked at so much on this site I am not sure if I had seen it or not, could anyone tell me if there was footage or a photo of Madeleine boarding the flight to PDL when she tripped and apparently injured her knee?

I know there was a video on youtube? showing her tripping and wwith another girl(payne's daughter).

Yes there is video footage and discussion about the size of the plane and whether it is Portugal bound and the height of Madeleine given the size of the steps. I believe she hurt her knee in this fall. Would this explain why the pink long trousers are shortened (rolled up past the knees?) in the footage of them on the shuttle bus? If it was cut it would have made sense to let the air at it etc.

I know there is some debate about the location and date of these videos. Never paid much attention to it before but just trying to answer for myself if these videos could have been taken at another time.. A few things I noticed:

The clothes on Gerry , madeleine and the payne's child at the start of the first video look the same as the ones on the airport bus on the second video so seems like they were taken at the same time.

In the first clip at the very start, it looks like gerry carrying all those bags (though we only see him from the back, he is with madeleine/payne's daughter before they go running to the steps...He is loaded with bags - red shoulder bag, smaller black bag (can't see the infamous blue bag but maybe that wasn't hand luggage?) but on the airport bus video there is a good pan around the area where they are all sitting and I can't see those bags - the red one in particular should stand out and be easy to spot. Don't remember seeing a red bag in the PJ photos of the apartment 5a.. What is it with this lot and disappearing bags?

All the adults we can see are wearing jeans.. not a big deal but think there was a statement somewhere making a big deal about not having jeans on holiday. can't remember who it was .. also don't remember any photos of them wearing jeans whilst in PDL?

The ages of the children look about right. The Payne's youngest child is listed in the Mark Warner bookings as 11 months old - the child in the pushchair in front of Fiona Payne looks about that age.

Diane Webster is on the video - if I remember correctly this is the first and only time she had been on holiday with the mccanns and paynes..

So given the childs age looks about right, and the presence of Diane Webster, I think it must be footage of them on that holiday, unless the paynes/websters went with them an another holiday - maybe donegal a month earlier..

I think this video was taken when travelling to PDL as well. Was just going through the bewk, although I haven't read it all, gave up about two thirds through it. Was just checking some details. There is one thing though that I have just noticed about the layout of the childrens bedroom in the McCanns apartment, which obviously hasn't anything to do with the journey so will look for the relevant thread and post there.

I just don't know what to make of this video. The twins look so much younger than in the Donegal pictures a month previous. As the Ladies here have pointed out, Kate's fringe is very different to pictures taken in PDL in the press. gerry is wearing the same t-shirt as in the poolside picture. Maddie looks like she is frozen sitting on the bus. To my knowledge this is the first time diane webster had been on a holiday with them. And this video was not on the PJ retrievals and only appeared after gerry came back to the uk 3 weeks later to look at old pictures and videos

I think Gerry was photographed going to court or somewhere that summer, with a red rucksack. Certainly a rucksack. I'll see if I can find it.
Two things strike me about these videos, nobody speaks except Payne and Gerry.
Gerry sounds totally insincere when Maddie stumbles, same tone of voice on other videos - he says affectionate words but sounds fake.
Then he says later that he isn't there to enjoy himself.
Very much a feeling, but I think the atmosphere in the bus could be cut with a knife.
Certainly if Maddie died very early, did some of them already know what they were there for?
In a 'normal' holiday video, I'd have expected more noise, people talking, not suddenly silent and waving madly at the camera. If I knew nothing about these people and was asked to analyze the video, I'd say there'd already been a spat and someone was trying to jolly things up.

(I've just checked, he was carrying a red rucksack in Portimao where he was going to be questioned and also when arriving back in the UK, carrying one of the twins. )

I think it was David Payne you can hear speaking when Madeleine falls (I don't think it was enough to cut her knee though). Why did they share this & only this video - are there no more of Madeleine on that holiday?

Payne may have been filming but it sounds like Gerry to me, same voice and tone as in the fairy video and another where he tells her to say something properly.

I'm sure that the person who says "oops-a-daisy (or something very simillar, a common expression said to a child who has fallen) are you all right?" is the same one who says "cheer up Gerry you're on holiday" and that can only be David Payne.

I don't think things were rosy between the McCanns. I believe they were skint, and KM was struggling to look after the three children, and perhaps GMs career wasn't going up and up as he thought it should. GM was obviously in a very bad mood, that would impact on the others.

Ollie I think you could be right. Notice how smily & happy Diane Webster and Fiona Payne were. The contrast them with BOTH Kate & Gerry McCann. Neither look happy bunnies and Kate even turns her face away from the camera as David is filming.

Goodness Jean, two men with creepy voices. I'm sure you're right. But check out this other videos, poor little Maddie, never sure what she should be doing.

These are the one from the Happy Christmas at home, the one where she is dressed as a pink fairy and another one where she is sitting on a sofa and Gerry corrects what she says. Slimey voice every time. Don't' know where to look sorry, might HideHo know?

Yes Tigger, even dressed up as something else she didn't please. And she was often dressed up as something or other.

I agree, that's a northern accent but not a Glaswegian one.

Jean, if these were the precious moments on video of my child I would cherish them and they would not be edited and bathed in crappy sentimental music for public consumption with a declaration at the end about copywright.

I'm not sure about that Aquila. Maybe it's a legal requirement to mention the owners of the footage. I expect there's someone who can explain more.

Jean, the video must have been in the public domain in order for someone to have possession of it in order to re-hash it.
