Pressure on the court ...
In recent days, we have witnessed another attempt at disinformation and poisoning of public opinion, which no longer surprises. The surprise, if one may call it, is the reaction of the Portuguese press that seems unable to discern the main motivation of such a campaign and make it real news.
The advertising campaign underway has as main objective the Portuguese court press who should decide. What is at stake is the independence of the Portuguese courts to decide objectively, freely and grounded in law. In general, the Portuguese media have not noticed or did not realize what is at stake, but the ordinary citizen, thinking for themselves and with common sense, is constantly aware and has realized what is happening.

My heart goes out to us Brits too, living under such a corrupt system. I know many people here love the royals, but I feel the British Establishment would not be so strong were it not for those oppressive layers in place to protect the royals. We 'British subjects' do not live under a democracy, it's all a facade, we have no freedom of press or freedom of information. I feel asphyxiated by it all!sweetex wrote:Pressão sobre o tribunal…

Over the last few days, we have watched yet another attempt at misinformation and intoxication of public opinion, which does not surprise anymore. The surprise, if it can be called that way, is the reaction of the Portuguese press which seems to be unable to see the main motivation of this campaign and turn that into the real news. The ongoing publicity campaign has the main purpose of putting pressure on the Portuguese court that has to decide. What is at stake is the independence of Portuguese courts to decide objectively, in a free manner and founded on the law. The Portuguese press in general has not yet understood, or didn't want to understand what is at stake, but the common citizen, who can think on his own and with good sense, is still alert and has already understood what is happening

Re: Status update on Dr Amaral's FB
The misinformation circus is to be expected from the UK, a country whose media is now impotent and the whole system rotten, but it's very disappointing that the Portuguese are not challenging this organised spin which is obviously designed to bury what comes out in the libel trial. Why are the PT media not investigating the circumstances surrounding Crimewatch's failure to include Portugal, where the crime took place, from televising the programme. SIC TV have confirmed they were not even approached (do we know if the other PT channels were asked?). And we have to listen to the McCanns pretending to be 'baffled'.Cheshire Cat wrote:

This is copied and pasted from Twitter. I don't know how credible it is, but, hey, if one can't beat them, let's join them!

Another blow to the McCanns libel writ this. If the Portuguese press are not backing Amaral full-on, the couple can't claim he's poisoning public opinion against them!

That's a good point ShuBob. Still, it's odd that no one is questioning why the Crimewatch reconstruction was not made in Portugal, is not being aired in Portugal and why the McCanns refused to participate in it themselves.ShuBob wrote:Another blow to the McCanns libel writ this. it was not all good BUT NEVER AS BAD AS NOW,
These two scumbags went to a foreign country and put their three toddlers in harms way nightly, and due to their sordid actions destroyed lives and livelihoods without a hint of shame, swanning around as if they owned the place! The minute the evidence and the CSI blood and cadaver dogs pointed heavily in their direction, they did a rapid exodus, returning home to a bizarre celebrity status... whilst the media kindly obliged them by whipping up xenophobic rantings, and ignoring the damaging evidence that pointed their way. It's all so surreal.
Two bricklayers, currently working on my house, were beavering away yesterday when the McCann/Crimewatch story came on the radio. They both looked at me, and one said... 'they sedated that poor little girl and killed her!'.... Then the other one said 'the bastards actually went jogging right afterwards!' Shrewd pair those two.
It's clear to me that the Met aren't fooling or winning anyone over with their whitewash, and not a single mind will be changed regarding the gruesome twosome's culpability.

For the rest it is clear that in spite of all the money they spend on themselves (and not on the search) it's money thrown away, and it does not buy them happiness, or wisdom, or style.
