Oceanico regularly run Golfing Events with the Associação Portuguesa de Seniores de Golfe, curated by Teresa Symington, whose husband Bob Symington is a member of the famous Symington Port and Wine dynasty and (I think) the brother of Oceab Club owner David Symington. Bob would also be Uncle to David's son, Angus Symington - the celebrated Robert Murat lookalike.
10. Bob Symington appears to have attended Oratory School in England between the years of 1944-49. Like John Henry Murat's Bradfield boarding school, this Roman Catholic Prep School is based in Reading, in Berkshire. Paul Symington - now Joint Managing Director of the Symington Estates and the eldest son of Michael Douglas Symington - was also schooled at the Oratory School prior to studying French at the Université de Neuchâtel in Switzerland.
Bob's long-time friend, Andrew Bull (who died in 2009), like Bob's nephew Johnny Symington, served with the British Embassy and the British Council in Portugal. The pair had met whilst boys at the Oporto British School.
Bull, also born in Oporto, was the son of a Director of Mackenzie & Co in the port wine trade. He began his teaching career at Tulse Hill, in South London (Murat father also lived in Tulse Hill for a time). He left to become Head of the History Department at a large Forces Comprehensive School in Germany. Bull recently retired as the chairman of the British Community Council of Lisbon.
The owners of the Estrela da Luz apartments now own the Vilamoura Golf Course that Daily Telegraph journalist, Martin Symington speaks so fondly of in his Algarve Reports. Oceanico often organise events at the nearby Palmares Golf Club - where Murat and girlfriend Michaela Walczuch met with business associates Jorge da Silva and his son on the day Madeleine went missing.
They also own the Millennium, Pinhal, O Connor Jnr and (Nick) Faldo course in Silves, the Victoria in Vilamoura and the Amendoeira Academy.
Oceanico is financially supported by the Anglo Irish Bank but Fagan and Burgess are also backed by a consortium of Irish-Americans in New York.
Terry Devey - the Dublin-based construction tycoon is also an investor.

In 2008 Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni took the international football team to stay at the Estrela da Luz apartments.

Another Portuguese golfing sponsor and construction millionaire, John Geraghty loaned the McCanns the use of his Praia da Luz apartment in the months immediately after Madeleine's disappearance, allowing the Leicester couple leave their infamous Renault Scenic in the garage. Geraghty is also allegd to have requested the keys to the church in Praia da Luz on behalf of the McCanns. Geraghty's father arrived in England from County Galway in Southern Ireland.

Unless I have missed it we still know very little about this man and his true involvement.

Sublimely obvious the MP John Redwood, is of no relation to DCI Andy Redwood after reading the blog article from 18 September 2007 right on the button!!?

The Portuguese side, after four months, seem to have decided that the little girl is dead and the parents were involved in the death. To prove this it would be helpful to have a body, and an autopsy which shows how she died. At the very least, if they cannot find the body, it would help if they had an independent witness who had seen the death occur, or had seen the parents moving the body after the time of the disappearance. It demonstrates little police competence that this most closely watched couple was able according to sources to keep the body from police attention immediately after the disappearance, and then to move the body many days later. How come the police did not search extensively enough to find the body at the beginning? How did they miss any evidence of harm to the child they now might claim to have? How did no-one see anything strange when the body was moved?

The Mc Canns theory that the girl was abducted also needs evidence to support it. Can they clear away any doubt over whether entry was forced into the holiday home? Were there no screams or disturbances as the little girl was taken? Did no-one see her at any point as she was carried away? Why has no-one seen her since, despite the massive awareness campaign? How did the abductor time the removal, given the fact that parents and friends were returning to keep an eye or ear open for the children?

Have the police questioned all who left that resort around the time of the loss of Madeleine

I too believe that the real John Geraghty is the guy connected with the Boavista golf club (and also believe that's him in the 'scenic' photo earlier in this thread), which fills me full of intrigue as to why on earth the media would want to fool peope into believing otherwise. What were they protecting him from and what (if any) power did he hold?

He seems a normal family guy from his facebook (general comments on golf and on his grand children's posts) but then again there's no such thing as 'normal' in this case. 

I'm also a bit suspicious that there's very little on google about him. All I could find out is that he lives in Lagos, married to Roberta Patricia Geraghty - they were still living together in England in 2003, in Buckinghamshire. Roberta is an ex company director for Sanex? And most of their family live in Leceistershire. John has a lot of Belgian contacts also.
