We should be thankful for this informative forum

We have been fooled by their friends, the tapas group, for failing to recognise how easily the McCanns were able to hypnotise and influence and manipulate them.
 
We have failed to understand that (and even though there is no history of schizophrenia or any other psychological disorder) that their actions were probably due to their irrational thoughts at the time of Madeleines death and thus explains how the father was able to carry his dead daughter through the streets of PDL without any worry of being spotted and STILL able to return to the table to finish off his sardines.
 
We have failed to understand that the Governments intervention was down to the fact that our friend Gerry has a brother who's friend has an uncle who's sister was married to a persons whose ex lover owns a corner shop which is at the heart of British Intgelligence.
 
We have failed to recognise how easily it is to tamper with photographs, signatures and erm, peoples minds.
 
We should also now be more aware that dogs don't tell lies..........because they cannot speak.
 
We should have realised that the money from top celebrities and the good old generous public was merely going into their limited company account to pay for their mortgage and erm......fighting anybody who said negatives things about them like 'is that Jimmy's ring your wearing'?
 
All in all, we should have known better!

Yes we should!

They represent people (very few I know, but hey) who are in agreement with the McCann's "reasonable parenting", call the press first when an emergency happens and insist on jogging immediately to releave stress. They are special in as much as they agree to and support every utterance the McCanns make and by their very own believing nature contribute to all the McCanns charities, mortgages, lawyers fees.

I know the McCanns have always side-stepped their guilt but unlike the perfect and all knowing McCann lovers, pale into significance due to academy award performances that we are given on a regular basis. Move over Anthony Hopkins and Meryl Streep, I apologize you just don't cut it anymore.

Through our ignorance we have realized that the campaign to keep themselves and the search for their daughter is solely for the purpose of finding Madeleine. I understand they are flying to PDL for a complete reconstruction of events that happened, a full ground search and the Drs are leading the way. Good for you!

We have been very hopeful in believing that the PJ files contain all information and that justice will be served when really our friends Goncalo Amaral has been wrongly libeled, stripped of his lifes work and still remains dignified. What complete and utter nonsense! There couldn't possibly be anymore information. The Drs have answered every question ever asked of them. I am so naive.

We have been applauded by their friends, the tapas group, for recognising how truthful, unselfish and concerned the Drs.have been.

We have finally understood that all behaviours were due to the irrational thoughts parents will have at the time of an abduction. Just ask Susan Smith and Casey Anthony. They seemed to be able to stay strong and carry their children to their deaths without worry of being spotted too. Casey Anthony did more than finish her sardines - she joined a hot body contest to boost her self-esteem. Would that have the same effect as jogging? I am all for better self-esteem and stress relief especially when I could be doing something less constructive like looking for my missing loved one.

We fully understand that the Governments intervention was due to the fact the Drs oscar winning performance could not be denied and the fact that everyone has secrets in their closet they don't want to share. Its an invasion of privacy and one can't libel one's closet can they. Oh and thanks for letting us know about friends in the British Intellegence! I didn't know that! I'm so dumb.

Might have to have a word with their trainer about proper hygiene and such.

Shhhhh!!! Don't mention Garth & his "van". He gets very touchy about it. I mentioned it once and he thought i was accusing him of being a gypsy and he offered to "meet me in person".

Just out of interest - and a genuine question -
does anyone know of a 'McCann-believer' forum where people post to explain what happened, and to examine the evidence rather then merely repeating "I knew", and try to resolve the differences between and among the various statements and the book.
I know of several devoted solely to attacking 'McCann-sceptics', but that is not the same thing.
Is there one ?

Well quite. I was hoping (sort of) that the book would help, but it actually contains less about the alleged facts than we already had.
"I knew" in italics is about all the evidence we get, and the details of open doors, windows, shutters, people moving around in the street without seeing anyone or being seen, is smudged and fudged and airbrushed away.

It would be nice wouldn't it. A group of people discussing their differences without abuse. I don't know if that is realistic - maybe idealistic on our parts. Seems some prefer sneaking on and leaving posts that do nothing but inflame or insult others. Shame really.

That was Jill's hope for this forum right at the start.

It was good to read from both sides but unfortunately, again on both sides, some people acted like people can and were just plain rude and spoilt it.

Loved the first post on this thread by "Tellusanother" - made me titter and in Garth's defence Plymouth only has about two gipsy sites and several residential caravan sites so he probabaly isn't a gipsy.

I don't think that Kololi meant to imply that there's anything wrong with being a gipsy. Trolls on the other hand I'm not so sure about.

I still know of no site where the McCann-believers put forward their case in a sensible and controlled way, taking on the McCann-sceptics, and showing, through the adducing of evidence and the application of logic that a particular story is likely to be correct.
Sadly it seems that most of the sites that I know are merely intent on verbal and vile abuse of anyone who dares to think, or to examine and de-construct what we have.
As a matter of record, Garth, assuming it is the same Garth who used to post on Anorak, was instrumental in many people simply abandoning the site, and moving elsewhere.

I thought it was a matter of "I know, but I cannot say or I have to kill you".

The Garths of this world will always attract a certain hard core of fans (it takes all sorts to make a world, live and let live, I say) but it seems to me that they drive most other people away by their behaviour, even those who did start off agreeing with them.

Exactly. He's proved time and again that he's only here to cause disruption and has absolutely no concern for Madeleine.

What is the point of that? Winding people up I mean when you folk on that site are meant to care deeply for a missing child and her grieving parents. How does winding people up support the McCanns or help to find Madeleine?

And to try and encourage others to do it too? That's pretty sad really.

Some of the people here do not believe the account of Madeleine's disappearance put forward by the McCanns, either fully or in parts. It is not a crime to not believe them and if by choosing to not believe them they make themselves laughing stocks in your eyes then so be it, but why can't you just stay on the site that you prefer and discuss all your facts that you feel show that Madeleine was abducted.

Accepting that another may have a difference of opinion to yourself is not a weakness - you should try it sometimes.

I feel good that my previous description of Garth as a mischief-making troll (whether in a dingy basement or not) has been proved to be true. As Martin says, he hasn't the slightest bit of interest in what happened to Madeleine.

Yes, you are right Marian. Although having said that Garth unwittingly created a really good debate (originally) and posters here provided a wealth of information from the files, that many guests reading may have not seen before. Unfortunately when the things he said were disproved by facts from the files, he turned to being rather sarcastic and childish. Very sad and pathetic to have to ask PFA members to join in and try and wind people up here. He needs to grow up, this is a case of a missing child, not a game!!
