We'll do a Farcebook group and then post our findings on the forum and all four of our blogs too - even more traffic!
And I'm sure Peter will be busy writing more chapters
And we'll all be consulting a lawyer
Hey! how come he never mentioned you?

That would be a bit tricky then to be fair.CaKeLoveR wrote:Will I be able to join in the fun? I'm not on Facebook.

I hear some horror stories about Facebook, and I'm a bit wary of it. But I suppose I could join, just to be on the side of the forum.

Re: Extract from Jon Clarke's new book: 'My Search for Madeleine McCann'
Thanks to Mr Clarke people will now be looking up Jill Havern and retired detective Peter Macleod so finding this forum and Peters book ! Do tell us Jill when you were both "warned " by the police and UK courts ? Nothing to do with being a driving instructor I presume !
A Facebook group sounds a great idea , don't worry @ CaKeLoveR , I was wary of Facebook too , took me a long time to join ( being technologically dyslexic doesn't help ) I've managed fine .
Mr Clarke seems to be getting a tad annoyed in his comments

When Jon 'investigated' me some years back he got the wrong person and address, so if he's published details of the wrong person in his book and libelled her, he might find himself being chatted up by the police...especially as she's still running a business and I'm retired.

Aww bless he must have been " tired " when he was doing that part of his " research "

I suppose you could join as Verdi and give very little other information. You don't need to add your private friends, just join the group.

Reverse psychology, Clarke is not so daft.
Encouraging adverse commentary will ultimately lead back to his booky wook - more attention more sales.
If you don't believe me just watch.
As for the insolent comments about prominent members of CMOMM, I've seen the exact same words bandied about in the past on more than one occasion and not by the pen of Jon Clarke .... seriously!
This is like an epic blockbuster - 'The Resurrection of Dracula'.
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Fallacy.
The man's a deluded fool, he must know the facts can be so easily researched. I guess that doesn't matter when there's a buck to be made with mischief a forethought.
Swann and Edgar didn't give a toss about truth when they published their novel any more than Kate McCann gave a toss when her autobiographical chiclit was published.
How bloody embarrassing.
The bloke's so full of conceit and bravado he's forgotten what it is to be a human being.
Enter CMOMM ....

Jill Havern/peter macloud and Tony Bennett (all warned and tackled by UK police and courts over lies and claims about the McCanns) - anyone interested can buy the book and read all about this tragic trio… a Ukip supporter, a retired detective and a driving instructor. No one should believe a word from trolls like them
For the record, and so that it shall be clearly understood
I have never been warned or tackled either by UK Police or Courts over lies and claims about the McCanns.
Jill and Tony will speak for themselves.
I have never told a lie about the McCanns so far as I am aware.
The lies and claims are entirely Clarke's
To the contrary I have been in regular contact by email with Operation Grange, have submitted several dossiers of evidence to them
and have received courteous acknowledgements

Nope, me neither. But then Jon has a reputation for being economical with the truth. But he did investigate the wrong person anywho so maybe there's time yet.
Notice how Jon the 'Journalist'can't won't even spell your name correctly and has put it all in lower case as a mark of juvenile disrespect...

I wonder what H. Fülscher thinks about the book and the condemning of his client, who has not yet been interviewed by H. Wolters, and certainly not by Clarkseau.
Actually I know what he thinks. He has read it, and he has told me.
Not impressed, is, I think, an accurate euphemism and paraphrase of his email.

Will Herr Fülscher have to wait until Brückner is convicted or cleared before he can Sue anyone for libel?

Will Brückner have to wait ?
Will I have to wait ? Since it clear from the Blurb that Clarke is just about to repeat the libels against TB and me that he has in the past,
and which he has been repeatedly warned about publishing and for which he has refused to retract, explain or apologise,
even though I provided him with a form of words acceptable to me.

There is no time limit on the Investigation phase. Under German law, Herr Wolters is under no time pressure from the State. Which is why I think they have saved their ‘most perfect Suspect’ until now.
I have no idea how Spanish law would apply in your Case Peter?

Re: Extract from Jon Clarke's new book: 'My Search for Madeleine McCann'
"UKIP supporter" is hardly an insult.
Nigel Farage and UKIP led and dominated the campaign for the Referendum, which was held in 2016, and on 31 January 2020 we LEFT the European Union.
I joined UKIP in 1997 and was pleased to play a minor role in getting our first-ever UKIP M.E.P., Jeffrey Titford, elected in June 1999. I was UKIP's Eastern Region Campaign Co-ordinator.
Strange thing is, in October 2007, as the Madeleine McCann case was buzzing around my head, my wife and I had a holiday in Andalucia, Spain. We stayed in a B&B two nights in one of the area's famous 'white villages'. When we came down for breakfast, there were huge piles of The Olive Press stored all over the floor, ready to be delivered to various outlets. We had stayed in the house of Jon Clarke's Distribution Manager!
I asked to read a copy. There was a 2-page spread written by Jon Clarke himself. He boasted about being "the first journalist on Praia da Luz" and later in the article he explained why he was 'convinced' the McCanns were innocent.
I knew he was lying. By that time, a plan was already forming in my mind to try and bring a private prosecution against the McCanns for child neglect...
...the rest, as they say, is history...

Dr Martin Roberts: "The evidence is that these are the pjyamas Madeleine wore on holiday in Praia da Luz. They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

"Jon Clarke was the first journalist on the scene when Madeleine McCann went missing in 2007 . . ."
NO HE WASN'T
There is YouTube news footage showing him in a group of at least 6, comparing notes and reading what they had found out. He got there comparatively late having driven the 4 hours from his home in Spain.
So the first sentence is a lie. One he has repeated over the years.
Read the rest with this in mind.
