Yes he could use that extra time to write something that also addresses the latest spin and crud (or in McCann P.R. talk, vile theories and slurs) that has been directed his way recently. Very wise!

As for the new photos as described in the Sun, I don’t think there was anything new to be seen, but I suspect they have looked at a title under the usual PJ photos saying :

‘revela novas pistas’

which they have taken to mean ‘reveals new photos’ rather than ‘reveals new clues’.

You can always rely on the ‘soaraway Sun’!

That's is a very interesting documentary (if only the anchor had bitten his tongue!) and threw up a number of elements in the filmed sections that I hadn't heard before (not sure if they were factually correct).

Again, Kate is mentioned as shouting from the balcony whereas elsewhere she runs to the Tapas table. Also, lots of images of Madeleine presumably taken by the family so why so few in PdL ??

Quite evident the Portuguese are seething at the influence of the British government in deciding the abduction theory and protecting the parents.

I still maintain that, unless/until there is a body, nothing more can be done. Even if someone does "break" it will be their word against the others and with so much obfuscation, it is difficult to believe anyone. And any "snitch" may just "disappear" if the spooks are involved.

The documentary was done by a private tv station called CMTV. On this documentary we can take Goncalo's Amaral view about the case, what gone wrong since the begginnig, and what it needs to be done. He doesn't say who is guity he refers that some investigation was not allowed to proceed because of the UK interference on the case. There is a key witness, an Irish family that saw someone running away with a child aged 3-4 years and they gave that information to the police 10 years ago. They said it was a man carrying a child but it was not Morat because they knew Morat well. When the MaCanns came back to UK, the Irish couple saw them going down the stairs of the plane and they called straight away the police as they recognized the man on that day. That man was Gerry. When the police had everything ready for the Irish couple to come to Portugal to tell the story, Goncalo was taken out from his position and no one try to contact them again. There were so many different statements done by the maccans regarding that day and for that reason they started to investigated them. On this video Goncalo states that he believes that Maddie was friezed and later they put her in a coffin with another lady that had died and she was cremated jointly. For that line of thinking Goncalo says that there was a witness saying that have seen 3 people with a bag carried to the local church that the maccans (dont know how) had the key of. That was never investigated and he believes that need to be done. The dogs were also a key on the route of the investigation. He doesn't say who is guity but refers to an investigation that was not concluded.

I just read this on Corrieo da Manha. Make of it what you will:

O Especial pode ser revisto amanhã, logo após o CM Jornal da hora de almoço, na CMTV.
GOOGLE TRANSLATION:
