I would not trust so many people to say the right thing unless I'd made sure they could read it of either an email or a cribsheet.

Perhaps, what with so many things going wrong that night and possibly not wishing to have the changes to the script overheard/traced, the changes were not passed on until it was far to late?

After all, they deleted calls from their mobiles on the night, being forensically aware.

Mrs. H using 'chalet' is interesting. Mislaid the instructions?

Just re-reading some of the drivel and lies that were uttered from the very beginning, makes it quite clear why the McCanns will always actively seek to keep well away from any court room and the risk of ever being cross questioned under oath.
Their stories would unravel, they would probably unravel, and all those friends and relatives who initially stood by them and supported them, would be made to look naïve and gullible.

They sent a hapless Solicitor to the High Court to lie on their behalf. TB managed to destroy her with one simple question
When GM gave evidence in Portugal he too was cut down by the judge
Sadly on both those occasions they were discussing a side-issue, so could not really get in deep.
The Mccanns have skilfully - and not so skilfully - used other people to lie on their behalf.
Some of the people they have used KNOW they were lying, and should be dealt with accordingly
Other may not realise, and can be written off as stupid.

I recently came across a snippet from Clarence Mitchell where he states that he often gave information to the press as 'friend of the family' so as not to make things look too official or something. TM has been positively brilliant at getting their own message across via various mouth-pieces. Problem is that the source - as ever - is not of the intelligence needed to convince those with an IQ higher than room-temperature.
