Where was Maddie when the lights went out? - Anna Andress
A very interesting theory. Quite a long read, but makes you pause for thought. I find the theory quite plausible.

Brilliant piece...I always wondered why none of Madeleine;s dna was found and it kinda makes sense that maybe she was never in that room, and as the article says what was in the room she really slept in that made the McCanns staged the fake bedroom? was the other bedroom and bed searched for DNA or fluids...also, where is the pink blanket now? the pink blanket Gerry said she slept with?

There is some suggestion that , had Madeleine died in the apartment, that she could possibly have been wrapped in this blanket - or maybe it was taken by the Portuguese Police as evidence. It disappeared along with almost everything belonging to Madeleine that could have had DNA on - which is odd.

Do we know if it was in the Portguese possession or here in Britain that the pink blanket vanished from? I will never understand in a million years why the PJ allowed the samples to be tested in Britain, but for that error of judgement this could well have been solved by now.
I did wonder if the initial friendly officers sent to Portugal were not as friendly as they appeared and if it was a ruse to lull the PJ in to thinking Britain would not treat the McCanns any different to any other criminal who broke the law and it was safe to send the samples here.

Hello Candyfloss, many thanks for the link. OH!!! who wonders what the hell I am doing on the computer hour after hour has just been persauded to read it. He knows nothing of the case other than what he has seen on the television, and not much of that either.
He now wants to know, "if we buy another computer can we run it from the attachment I run mine from"
Now there is a man that has been given a taster.
So it still works, people saying "what the hell"
Looks like we may have to draw straws from now on [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

thanks for the link.
i read it but so confused - how many single beds were there?
And why were the cots moved about between the two rooms.
master bedroom (kate and gerry) had two single beds pushed together to make one double and looked very messy so yeah children at least the twins could have slept there.
If that was the case, then one room was completely empty, no beddings in the cots pushed together before one bed next to window. No room to swing a cat let alone an intruder to manoveure (sp) bundling a child. One single bed looked slept in and one not at all.
If the children room was not slept in at all by any of the children and used to stage the crime scene then what a funny way to stage the scene. Cots devoid of beddings parked right in the middle of the room and maddie's bed looked unslept in, what rubbish staging is that?
If the twins were sleeping on the pushed together single beds in the parents' room and children's room empty with nobody in it, which room was their checking friends talking about when they saw the twins?
That would mean Maddie was already long gone and disposed off which begs the question were people correct about the earlier than May3rd death? Its very plausible twins were left to sleep in parents room while they did all the necessary to cover up the crime. The tiwns brought back into the children's room after the alarm is also plausible.
I wonder whether police swept the parents' bedroom for children's forensics?
