It feels like the culmination of everything that has been vexing me this past 6yrs plus, how can anyone watch that and still believe the McCanns are telling the truth? The clip of the genuine mother was heart rendering and such a stark contrast to everything we have seen from Kate and Gerry.

During the time I was researching the case, I think it was that clip of Gerry, perfectly illustrating duping delight when asked about the sightings, that took me from 99% to 100 convinced that Madeleine was not missing.

A point to note: where the clip ends is not absolutely clear, so stay till very end, its about 10 mins, may be less.

Two police forces, 6 1/2 years non-stop news coverage and internet discussion, Crimewatch, Home Office review and several court cases haven't stopped their lies. It would be tantamount to stopping them breathing.

I think they have lied so much they will never back down,no matter what evidence has been presented they and their 'supporters' will not accept it..IMO that is why tannerman is still on the site.

Exactly. When I see this pair and all the early lies about which doors, timings of checks and smashed shutters it brings to mind the good old saying:

A lie can be half way round the world before the truth has got it's boots on

And that, my friends, is as good an explanation as any for the truly weird behaviour and decisions and non-stop phone calls and text messages of the night of the 3rd May 2007.

Gerry has a permanat look of contempt on his face, sometimes it is more noticable than others depending on what is being asked. He has a look of contempt when he is asked questions that he thinks is below him and what was noticeable is his smirk when asked about sighting also known as duping delight. In this case as in so many it isn't even a microexpression it is as blatant as it comes.

Kate's right eye fascinates me, i wonder if she had a mini stroke, bells palsy or some minor nerve damage to it.
it blinks slower than her left and droops,especially when she stresses at a question.

Including ALL 'interviews' the McCanns have 'freely' given.

If they don't want their 'body language' analysed then they should stop giving filmed interviews.

Maddie's right eye was droopy as well. Eta to add the Christmas video discussion - she's always looked lonely and insecure to me.

Gerry and duping delight - well he used to play tricks, mainly card tricks as a child. The child is the father of the man they say.

Your video has been promoted on twitter by, among others, RothleyPillowcase which may be where Cristobell spotted it, and I suspect it will accumulate views at a phenomenal rate.

With regard to legal implications IMO you are on safe ground as, presumably, you created the video and posted it on youtube after 25 April of this year, the date when Royal Assent was given to the Defamation Act 2013 which, by way of brief synopsis, provides that:

1. It is a defence for defamation to show the statement complained of is substantially true

2. It is a defence for defamation to show the statement complained of was a statement of opinion

3. It is a defence for defamation to show the statement compained of was, or formed part of, a matter of public
interest and publication was reasonably believed to be in the public interest

As you've created your video from, amongst others, images which are undisputably those of K&G and, as such images are in the public domain and as you have not altered or otherwise distorted these images into caricatures or grotesque representations of the couple, I would contend that it is substanially, if not wholly, true.

In leaving these images 'as is', and having made no statement of opinion, I would contend that your video has been created with the intent that viewers are free to form their own opinion of it, and of the subjects therein.

Given the large sums of public money which have been, and continue to be, expended on the case of Madeleine McCann, I would contend there can be no doubt that you have published your video in the reasonable belief that insodoing you are acting in the public interest.

Nevertheless, I woud suggest you amend the final sentence of the image shown a c9.31 to read 'to show how lie-spotting techniques can help us see whether they are telling the truth' and I would also suggest you consider ending the video at that point by dispensing with the image of Gerry and e-fit Gerry holding the e-fit picture and cutting the 'Dead Giveway' song as you have produced a powerful work which has no need of 'adornment'.

I hope our wonderful experts here have been able to put your mind at rest on the legal side. There are hundreds of videos on Youtube of the McCanns and their odd behaviour. Some have been whooshed, but I don't understand the technicalities of that. To be honest though, the whole thing would be a legal nightmare, even for Carter Ruck, and I doubt the McCanns have the funds or the appetite for another libel action, especially as they are presently facing the repercussions of their action in Lisbon in the first week of January. Their support has reached rock bottom. No millionaires are offering to foot their bills, and the online shop is closed. I honestly do not think you have any worries, I don't think anyone has now, even Tony. It would be interesting to know if Team McCann have reacted to Tony's recent postings on twitter - I have no idea if it was legal for him to do that or not, just curious as to how they will deal with it, if at all.

But back to your video - amazing! There is a video that has been bugging me for ages. As it is one of those long camera flashing McCann press conferences, some may not have stayed until the very end. And it is just before the end that Gerry seems to be convulsing in maniacal laughter, and struggling to contain it. One of the oddest things I have ever seen, and I think Kate is on the joke, but managing to mask it. I would love to hear your views on it.

Please qualify it. As I recall Cristobell you were worried about the TPV interview as you were aware that Carter Ruck might be looking in. Your interview is still not available btw.

Forgive me for not reposting everything in its entirety. Your problem is with my reference to 'our wonderful experts' and you would like me to qualify this.

It is clear to most readers of this site that many of us have studied the case of Missing Madeleine McCann for many years - Longer than it would take to do a Degree or even a Masters. We all come from different backgrounds, and have particular areas of expertise. Petermac for example spent many years as a serving police officer and clearly gives a well informed and educated opinion when he writes. I have no idea of his qualifications, but I respect him as an intellectual and an academic. Petermac is one of many - we have linguists, we have experts in body language, we have analysts, accountants, lawyers, experts in most if not all fields. It is not necessary to wave a Certificate in the air to declare oneself an expert, simply by studying a subject in depth, one becomes an expert.

Why would you be slapped for making a valid point Aquila, which I tend to agree with. I don't think I have seen a 'legal expert' say such a thing, unless I missed it? I will re-read this thread again, to see if I missed it.
