Re: Kerry Needham on This Morning
She and her daughter spoke very movingly and openly about the issues resulting from Ben's disappearance which they have both had to confront, especially how it has affected their relationship.
This is Kerry's book.
This is Kerry's book.

Why I posted it, Chatelaine. it seems such a trivial issue, but even though the letters spelling Kate's book title were bold and quite large, Kate's name was more prominent simply because it was all in capitals while Maddie's was all small case. Whoever advised that layout for the front cover was wrong imo.
" his mother's heartbreaking story of endurance and hope " is under the title " Ben"

Re: Kerry Needham on This Morning
I saw the interview and there could not be more marked a contrast between the two cases. This woman had suffered genuine guilt, greif and suffering. It affected her and her daughters relationship and it showed. Her life was messed up and all the emotions were what I would expect. The interview seemed genuine and the sister described adverse effects on her life. it was about working through these issues as a family.
Then we have the McCanns. Nothing they have said and done matches what I would expect from grieving parents, and their main motivation seems to be self publicity and money. The twins are used, when we hear about them, as props.
I seems they are doomed to be Maddy's siblings for a long time yet, while Ben's sister addressed this issue and how it was overcome. I wonder how long it will be for the twins to be able to speak for themselves and will they toe the family line.

Cuddle Cat was a prop for quite some time, now it is and will be the twins. In my opinion of course. I wonder where the soft toy is now?

Needham: New DNA fight
The mother of the missing Sheffield toddler Ben Needham is fighting to get a DNA test to determine whether a man in Greece, who's been identified by two separate sources, is her son or not
about 15 hours ago
Exclusive: two separate sources identify 'Ben Needham'
Calendar can exclusively reveal that a gypsy living in Greece has been named by two separate sources as Ben Needham, who disappeared as a toddler from the island of Kos in 1991. The breakthrough has come after Ben's mum Kerry and one of our producers appeared on Greek TV late last year.
A caller to the show, which specialises in finding missing people, specifically named a man living in the north of the country. The same name was given to Kerry independently when she made a follow-up trip to Greece.
Now Kerry has spoken of her frustration that a DNA test, promised at the time has still not been done. Her MP Labour's Angela Smith has confirmed she is raising the matter with the Foreign Office.

I've not seen a mention of this in MSM, Kerry pushed to the back again, she is a genuine mother of a missing child. KM will never be able to match Kerry's courage, determination in her search for her son Ben.

Well said. What a contrast.
At least Ben was lucky enough to have a genuinely loving mother for his first years, unlike poor Madeleine.

So the New Zealand girl in February who was forced to give DNA to prove she wasn't Maddie and whose results were rushed through within a very short time - that could be done for the McCanns.
The NZ girl's family already proved that she was their daughter yet she still had to give DNA - the little girl has had world-wide publicity and this episode is now part of her youthful memories.
But now a test is absolutely necessary and what does Kerry Needham get? Bottom of the pile treatment.

Perhaps she should get the Ambassador for Missing Children to expedite it.
