This is being reported in Expresso which is as far as I can ascertain a quality broadsheet newspaper according to one source of info and acc to another, not a daily but similar to the USA's Time magazine. Long article

not giving credence to this latest story, but Expresso did a quality interview with the parents in 2008 and did not pull any punches in their questions. On McCann files, can't post a link sorry.

Well it is bound to be portrayed as a put- up job by Amaral in some quarters and in others an attempt to drag Murat back into the mix, despite Birch saying he was not involved. Lord knows what is going on, all very strange.
And no doubt there will be a comment that the newspapers in Portugal are running the justice system if any credence whatever is given to this act of trespass and what was possibly found. If it is looked at and deemed nonsense not worthy of pursuit, so be it. I dont want time wasted on rubbish, the case is too important.

I will have to look back through the archives and I don't know how much I can disclose here, since an e-mail that I received on behalf of the Madeleine Foundation, well over a year ago, came from a SA investigator who worked on the case, was sent in confidence. He claimed that he could prove, with pictures, that Madeleine was buried in Murats back yard. This was not Stephen Birch and it turned out that this man was a psychic.

I was thinking the same.

Then also.... if it was me.... If I was in Murat's shoes today I'd had the police come and dig up the place again. No need for a warrant. I'll beg them to come look because there is just no way (if you not guilty) that anyone wants to sleep in a house knowing there is potentially a body in your garden.
