Day 1 evening of May 3 2007

Post by mira2 on Mon Jun 25, 2012 11:55 pm

Allthough I have been reading this forum for a long time and have tremendous respect for those who moderate it, they are giving up their precious time to a cause that they feel so strongly about and that needs adressing. I a newbie posting on here and must say it is a mindfield just getting around on here.

So many wonderful characters with a conscience frustrated with the system that is supposed to be Democratic, yet the more we dig the more undemocratic it becomes. Yes this case is unique, and for all the wrong reasons, that should not deter us from our mission.

What I have found in this case is that the high level protection afforded to the Tapas Group from early on, mixed with Murdoch's dirty little press outfit, ensured that Madeleine McCann was nothing more than a tool, and the Tapas Group beyond suspician.

There has to be a good reason for this protectionism, and in time we will know. SICK SICK SICK

The one thing that bothers me the most is that EVERYONE has bought into the PR stunt (and yes public donations, not a penny spent by McCann Inc), and I mean everyone, endless treads discussing the scenarios.

I have an interest in this case and it is not the whereabouts of Madeleine McCan, my interest goes much deeper than that.

If you, like I, want to put a stop to corruption within, you will demand that all elected officials whether they be Government Ministers, council officers, school Governors etc have a clean record...............reason I say this is because it is no secret that a good number of politicians have convictions for child abuse, that alone should bar them from public duty. Something is wrong here and it needs to be adressed, no way should we the public sit back and accept this.

The Vatican scandal is something that is still very raw with me, it angers me so much that they have been allowed free reign all these years to delude the masses, who were just Good God fearing people doing their bit for society. It was no surprise to me that paedophilia was ripe within, I picked up on this some 30 years ago, its a long story, and one that even now my upbringing has prevented me exposing. SICK SICK

Saying all that my experience of the church growing up in a devout Catholic family was good, I come from a large family and my parents were hands on parents, unlike the townies my parents did not have high ambitions to the point where they put their sons forward as clerks on Sunday service.

looking back naturally I and my siblings are grateful for that, after all it has taken decades for the sexual abuse of children by Priests in Ireland and UK to get the light of day. I personally, have had experience of the Vaticans business early on in life, I did not like what I saw, in fact it is the very reason that I am who I am today, there is much that I would like to expose, but I know that whilst the masses are being led to believe that the world owes them a living they are not interacting, hense part of the rot, nothing is going to change .........the same old old

It isn't just in the Catholic church, Mira2. There have been cases here of the extreme protestant churches (sometimes known as the black stocking church) where hypocritical attitudes to sex resulted in all sorts of abuse. Never read about, just heard on the grapevine.
This is some decades ago, I have no idea if this still goes on but it's a shame that catholicism didn't stick with the celtic church in the UK, which had no celibacy requirement and had plenty of women priests - as from the 'dark ages' to mediaeval times, after that it was Roman catholicism.
A closed shop so to speak.

Morning each. Is it just religion, any religion where child abuse exists? I fear not. It is wherever children are and that includes the home/homes of friends and family. Anyone who has contact and access to children has the opportunity to abuse them. What they need to carry this abuse out is the inclination.
Children are imo in danger every day of their lives as these monsters are everywhere.

Morning Nina,

You are right. Paedophiles lurk wherever children are present. I think the point that's being made is how can a religious institution cover it all up and for so long? What's righteous about that! Why choose to protect peadophiles in a religion? I should have thought it would strengthen a religious institution to clean up and out it's paedophiles but that's because I'm being naiive and over simplistic. Churches (not just the catholic church) have harboured these criminals since time immemorial. It all comes down to money and power for me.

And a very good morning to you aquila. Yes I agree the point is how can any religious institution cover up the abuse within. They do it because they can. Nothing righteous at all, in fact pure evil in my eyes. But your last sentence fits well here money and power. Is there any such thing as a poor, in monetary terms, religion.
Within other areas of contact with children there are again links with money and power, I am sure those images on line are not given for free.
Within the home setting it is easy access, whenever the monsters feel the urge to molest those who depend on them for protection. Pure evil.

Religion and Politics - Money and Power versus Honesty

Post by aquila on Tue Jun 26, 2012 1:51 pm

The following clip was posted by Tony Bennett in a different topic. As a victim of sexual abuse myself this man's experience made made mine a picnic by comparison.

Please watch this middle aged man confront politicians in public. Pay attention to how he speaks when he speaks of the crimes commited to him - he's no longer a middle-aged man - he's a little boy re-living the nightmare. Pay attention when he speaks to a politician about the disgusting way in which he and others were overpowered by lawyers and the law when they dared to tell the truth, stand up and demand justice. Pay attention to the panel and the audience reaction. Pay attention to how his honesty shines when he is speaking of the heinous acts that were committed to him and others and how they were subsequently dealt with by the law and the church. Watch the body language of the one politician who simply doesn't understand and wants everything to go away.

Paedophiles are covered up in government and religion. My heart breaks for everyone who has been abused in this way.

I wanted to write so much more but I think this clip speaks for itself.

All I can say at the moment after watching that is that this chap still suffers what he endured in childhood. Just how many enter the church for the calling from God, and how many because it is an easy way to access the vulnerable ?

Can someone say in all truth what good has come from a public inquiry? The Leveson Inquiry seems to be a pile of poop to me. The clip in my comment was borne of a public inquiry. What good came of it? does anyone know? If a politician's tenure is only short it's better to spend a few million pounds on a public inquiry for anything and everything that will take a long long time, prove nothing and make not a scrap of difference other than you (the politician with a short tenure) will have made a pile of contacts/bucks in the meantime. Public inquiries are cheap and very useful tools imo.

Its time to do something - but what. I have no power, nor have many of us anything that we can do. What was the result of this discussion on this programme. If it got nowhere what do we do. I have only been affected indirectly from "paedophiles" but it led to the death of my brother, who in turn, got no justice at the hands of the Police.

Yes what can we do? You have power, we all have roses . Do you twitter and facebook? I don't but I know it is a way to spread information and if anyone is willing to teach me how I will spread that video as far as I am able.

And we are way off topic so maybe this should have a thread of it's own. Sorry mods flag
