In English law "ex parte" is now called "in private."

English Injunctions can be obtained in private, on the basis of excuses such as the offending material has been in publication for a long time (the reverse of urgency). Often these English interlocutory injunctions end up being de-facto permanent.

Injunctions seem to be a standard Masonic trick, a solution available only to those with money to waste on litigation, such as Brother Gerry McCann.
