Another murat_fan prediction blown to smithereens

Post by Tony Bennett on 12.01.10 15:37

I know s/he's been banned.

Here is her/his prediction confidently made yesterday morning (11 January):

MURAT FAN PREDICTION

Monday, 11 January 2010
Amaral To Give In Tomorrow

Amaral will tomorrow give in to the McCanns Lawyer and agree to stop publishing any more material that may libel them. Also Amaral will give an undertaking NOT TO REPEAT any claim that Madeleine is dead, or that their parents were/may have been involved.

This is in return for the McCanns NOT TO SEIZE Amarals assests and allow him to continue yo live in his house. However from the understanding, any repeat of any libel will cancel this agreement out and assets will be recovered.

Amaral will also have to try to stop any on-line publication of hiss book, or any extracts on any website.

McCanns' side of the story to come

Yes, we are hearing Amaral's side of the story, and the headlines over here so far reflect that. But on the last day of the trial, the McCanns will play their trump cards, like...no corroboration of the dogs' evidence...DNA results inconclusive...no forensic evidence...Amaral's book is biased...etc. etc.

I am prepared for a bad result.

They may play their music but will anyone believe them. The seeds of doubt are being presented today and the papers have good reason to publish without being sued.

A fair and just result - whichever side of the fence it falls on is what we should get.

Yes it was! I saw him there holding a banner. Didn't see Deborah though. Did she go or not?

Thought it was. No didn't notice DB but then wasn't really taking much notice, it's just that it was such a good pic of Grenville holding up that banner.

Everything is looking promising for a fair trial, so far. I am pleased that the UK press is reporting substantive information from the trial. Today's testimony will be a surprise to some, won't it? People will start to wonder why certain information was withheld from the PJ and why the court prevented basic information (the text messages) from being included in the investigation. None of those actions make sense in an official investigation and fair-minded people will understand that.

Will Kate and Gerry McCann have the courage to show up a second day? I think so. Look at what they've managed to do for the last almost three years. Apparently, they have the stomach for public pretense and deception, more than most of us.

haven't seen any of the reporting Jolie, but the Sky twitter journo left a lot to be desired. Very little information given and no detail at all on the cross examination of witnesses. Will have a search around in a minute and see what's being said.

Hopefully tomorrow will see a better twitter account (minus Amarals state of consciousness and the McCanns seating positions)

Perhaps the McCanns lawyer didn't cross examine everyone, sometimes they don't, otherwise they could get themselves deeper in doo-doo with answers they don't want to hear. (I watch Law & Order you know big grin ) Apparantley when she did she was quite aggresive. Not very professional, and bringing up that torture evidence with that witness, well what had that got to do with anything, very below the belt, and the Judge admonished the lawyer for that. I thought to be fair the information was pretty good. SKY are reporting it like it is for a change, Brunty is doing OK. No, I think overall it was quite good.

No, I mean the Twitter said cross examination was going on - but then didn't report on it. Plus very little information came out from witnesses in general.

Hopefully tomorrow there will be more about what is being said, and less empty tweets about who is in the stand.

At the point where the journo deemed it necessary to use an exclamation mark because the judge was female I guessed he was maybe not used to court rooms.

Sad

You can actually watch the proceedings live on TV inside the courtroom?

I've just read this post on another forum, anyone heard anything about it? If true, doesn't show Amaral in a very good light does it, hardly professional behaviour IMO :

Just watching BBC local news. Mr Amaral asked whether he was hurting the Mccanns - his reply was f@@@ the Mccanns! Very true, but the BBc are giving him a hard time about his reply. They also saying that 'nothing new came up in the hearing, but the main news was the crude language he heard'. I am surprised he has given the BBC ammunition to use against him.

I didn't find anything negative about Amaral on the BBC articles today

Perhaps you could pull up and put a specific link to what you are referring to. I read this article (linked below) and watched the accompanying video and saw nothing that referred to Amaral saying any curse. Personally, after all his restraint shown in the media over the past 2+ years, I don't believe it happened. He is too smart to make that mistake, I think. But if he did, he certainly can be forgiven for saying what he is alleged to have said, considering what they have put him through. I have cursed the McCanns myself and they haven't done anything personally to me, just the world in general, which pisses me off immensely.

The word was bleeped out so I couldnt hear what he actually said. Tony has put the link on the Grenville thread.

The BBC report was a disgrace in my opinion, they didnt want to report on anything said in the Courtroom.
I highly doubt Mr Amaral swore and I hope the BBC are challenged on this.

The courtroom dialogue remains a bit of a mystery really.

I presume at some stage there might be a transcript?
